Reached there around 10.30am. Not so crowded, around 20+ customers. The place is pretty huge.. probably around 50 tables avail. We had heavy breakfast: nasi arab with lamb Rm16.95, nasi ayam with chicken Rm14.85 and roti canai with kari kambing Rm11.65. The lamb was tenderly cooked and well marinated, but little too sweet. Overall worth the trip

The location is very obvious. Right beside the road. If it is weekend you drive pass through highway you will notice and wondered why there is a jam there. You probably passing through the restaurant. The queue is incredibly long. So I'm suggesting you to come on weekend. Else you gonna spend around one hour for queuing during weekend or public holiday(maybe worse, that is why I'm avoiding big holiday) The food serving is fast. The service is okay I guess?(basically more like self service, queue and get your food) The price increases a lot since I first came. Maybe it is inflation problem. Food still good. Worth a visit.

Have always wanted to go here, can see it from the PLUS highway, causing a traffic jam on the PLUS highway with people wondering what is the commotion with all the vehicles parked outside of Highway 1 although there is not linkage between the 2 roads. There was a bit of a queue early in the morning, but moved quite fast with main dishes laid out. Food is good, above average in taste (not the best I've had). The standard kambing set was boney. Maybe the lamb shank is a good idea for sharing. Lots of seating area and quite airy. Price is reasonable for what you get.

Famous restaurant. So many people queued till the roadside. The average time queuing was 40 min to one hour. There were several buses, many cars and motorcycles. The restaurant was very busy and inorganised. There were many flies 🪰 🪰 🪰. The floor was dirty. There are toilets and musolla. One plate of lamb beriyani costs RM16. One tray costs RM64.66 for four people with free one jug of colored cool drink. The lambs were soft, juicy , delicious, and sweet. Is it worth the queue and waiting time?

A big shop ar road side along PLUS, you cant miss it when travelling south from KL. The shop is big, non AC, so is kinda warm. Parking is plenty. Tried the kari kambing, kari is more on to the sweet taste, and kambing is tender. Just like it has been braised for so long. Portion is good, price is reasonable. Downside is there are so many flies, everywhere... i was so bz eating and shooing flies...

"Padu mat..." Those were my first words upon tasting the Nasi Arab Kari Kambing 40 Hari. I'll definitely be coming back for more. In fact, we couldn't resist taking 3 sets of Nasi Arab Kari Kambing back to my hometown! The prices are reasonable, the ambiance is inviting, parking is ample, service is efficient, and the food is incredibly delicious!

Family friendly, plenty of seating and tables. Might be a bit of a wait if you come in the afternoon/evening but service is never slow. Clean toilets. Good food, affordable prices. What more to ask for?

Saw an insane crowd outside this place off the side of the highway and had to give it a shot. Went around 3:00 PM when it was less busy and I would recommend you do the same. The mutton was cooked perfectly and had a nice spice to it. It was sweet, but the heat did make it bearable. The fresh veggies also helped to balance out the rich flavors of the meat and sauce. A plate was about RM15, which is quite reasonable for the portion and quality. Service was fine enough and the place was decently clean (didn’t check the bathrooms though!). If you love mutton and checking out local cuisine, you’ll certainly enjoy this little food detour off the highway!

Crowded as usual. Long waiting lane, but don't took long time to reach the counter. Price is very good with the food quality. Many extra parking lots provided uphills. Really recommended for family and friends trips. They also provide catering service.

The gravy for the chicken set and the mutton set were too sweet. Too many flies and owner should do something abt it (eg: set fly trap). I was busy shooing the flies which is irritating. Long queue but the service was quite fast. The portion also reasonable. Mutton and chicken soft.

The queue is long like seriously long. But the service is fast. Less than 1 minute per customer. With COVID-19 SOP the service is quite fast and easy to understand. The taste is sooo good. Spices and kambing umph. I can't put it in proper word just come here and taste it by yourself. 👍🏼

We arrived there just before it got really busy but the roti canai was already sold out! I have to say that the kari kambing was delicious and I thoroughly recommend it. We also tried the chicken, it was a big piece but it was only boiled and we were given such small amount of sauce just felt it was not worth it. I think they should actually cook it in the sauce. Yes, would go again but will only order the kari kambing. The place was crowded but the staff did a good job at clearing and cleaning the tables.

The crowd was a turn off thinking of COVID 19 but service was fast but I was not impressed with the choice of food esp Kambing that was simply a stew wz saffron rice serving.. wished they had option of Kambing soup or grilled Kambing in addition..they have to look into the toilet cleaniness too. Sometime I wonder what's the crowd puller to this place.. mind the traffic when crossing with old folks and children anyway we all have different taste bud. U are welcome to try anyway

Saffron rice served with either mutton curry or chicken plus some side vege. Super Long Q due to public holiday but worth it. By the time our food arrived on table we wait no more and dig in. Thus no photo of our platters. Ordered 1 platter consist of 2 serve of mutton and 1 serve of chicken around RM58 which is good for 4 pax meal..free 1 jug of ice syrup. You can also opt platter with 2 serve of chicken + 1 serve of mutton. Or you can order for individual plate as well. Am satisfied with the meal. Minus point - poor ventilation, it was really hot during noon time. Please consider this to give all of us a better experienced.

Went here the last time we were back in JB, have lots of anticipation due to the hype. So many of my friends suggested this & as we’re all Johorean, some of us even drove all the way there to eat this every week! The queue is really long, we waited for almost 1 hour but the service is really fast & efficient. There’s lots of seats, but still need to book your table quickly by waiting for other customers to finish eating. Plenty of spaces, a great place to have huge portion meals w your friends & family. Separate toilets for men & women, and a surau right at the centre so it’s very convenient. But the taste for us is just okay, I’ve had others that are much better. The curry is really sweet. We love spicy food so it’s quite a struggle to finish everything. The chicken is nice. Drinks are overly sweet as well. Quite a turndown as we had high expectations so not gonna come again.

Dont get the hype. Just regular lamb kuzi and mandy chicken. I’ve tasted better lambs in Selangor. Cant deny they’re much cheaper here tho. One set for family of 6 is 60 ringgit. Almost half the price.

The kambing is so soft and delicious. The gravy however is on the sweet side. Portion of rice and kambing is big. Must eat with acar buah.....sedap hingga menjilat jari.Please makan gunakan tangan to experience the sedapness.😊

drive 80 KM frim JB to Ayer Hitam...... line up for about 10 minutes..... Nasi Arab Kambing 40 hari...... taste is superb, perfectly cook - taste well balance, rice were soft and puffy........ price is affordable.... cheap as compared to average Nasi Arab in JB town area. One jug of Sirap cost is only RM5...... which save me around RM10 if compare to teh tarik for 4 of us. Well done to the owner.....saw a few improvement from last visit, additional sitting.....

Rice and sides : Perfect. Vegetable acar and papadom given are very fresh and crunchy. Mutton curry : TOO SWEET, TOO MANY BONES (1/2 of my curry portion in this servings were just bones, sedih la😞). Not tender enough too. Portion and prices are reasonable. Restaurant is clean, service is fast, easy to find parking. Ample of seats as well.

Lot of people and lot of people eating when I arrived. Amount of food is good. The lamb I had was not spicy and sweet in taste. So if you are looking spicy lamb this place is not for you

Tried Saffron rice with Caramelised spicy mutton gravy. The meat 🍖 is so fresh and tasty.

I went there during public holiday so I need to queue a little but overall the service was fast and at the end I was indulged with the extremely flavorful mutton masak hitam..

Had been at this place several times during our journey from KL to JB. Recently we stopped over for breakfast. The mutton curry is delicious, though a bit too sweet for me. Besides roti canai and nasi arab, the restaurant also has mee rebus on its menu. Lots of parking space, however the place gets very crowded on weekends.

Tried their special dish which is quite good and the portion is proportionate to their price! Worth it to try!
