Mahkota Parade was our favourite place to go to on a shopping spree during weekends with friends decades ago. Today I found myself still feeling the same zest to stepped foot into Mahkota Parade. There're a lot of shops, some still in business and there's still that "vibrant" feeling strolling around with so many shops operating and customers shopping. We 're spoilt for choices.. All adhering to SOP ,a norm for all shoppers. Ample parking lots too.

This is one of the oldest shopping malls in Melaka. It’s definitely not a fancy mall compared to all that you could find in KL/ Selangor. It is basic and in recent months there’s been some upgrade/ renovation done. Many locals frequent this mall for the grocery store at the basement (Family Store) and Parkson department store. I hope the management could improve the cleanliness of their washrooms and repair all the malfunctioning sinks and toilets.

Reasonable shopping mall with a wide selection of shops and restaurants. Worth a look around and shop, grab food and enjoy some delicacies such as Famous Amos cookies.

A nice shopping mall, plenty of shops and stores available, quite huge, extensive and spacious. The only thing is that a lot of the shops seems to close very early. Plenty of parking available, both outdoor parking and underground parking. Located just across Hatten Hotel and nearby Taming Sari Tower and Taman Merdeka.

Prefer this mall than Dataran Pahlawan. Easier to navigate and there is a departmental store - Parkson and supermarket within the mall. Spent almost everyday here while I was in Melaka.

Easy to get parking spot (probably due to pandemic) despite the state is going to have an election this week. Quite convenient & less hectic i see.

💢 This mall have been established for a very long time. Long before Dataran Pahlawan ever exist. Looking back, the structure & interior are still the same but the outlets changed over time. Centrally located at Melaka town & expect traffic jam when you are in this area.

I had a great time at Mahkota Parade Melaka, one of the best places to shop and dine in Melaka. The mall is conveniently located near the city center and has a lot of attractions nearby, such as the Melaka Upside Down House, the St. Paul's Hill & Church, and the Malacca Sultanate Palace. The mall has a wide range of stores and brands, from fashion and beauty to electronics and books. I found everything I needed and more at Parkson, the anchor tenant of the mall. I also enjoyed browsing the local and international products at the grocery store and the art gallery inside the mall. One of the best features of the mall is that it has an EV charging station, which is very convenient for electric car owners. I was able to charge my car while I shopped and relaxed at the mall. The charging station is easy to find and use, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The mall also has a lot of food options, from fast food and cafes to restaurants and dessert shops. I tried the cendol gula melaka, a local specialty made with shaved ice, coconut milk, palm sugar, and green jelly noodles. It was very refreshing and delicious. I also had a nice meal at the EeJiBan Chicken Rice Ball Halal, which serves the famous chicken rice balls, a dish of chicken and rice shaped into balls and served with chili sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the rice balls were soft and fragrant. The mall also has a cinema, where I watched an Indian movie that was showing there. The movie was entertaining and the seats were comfortable. The cinema was clean and well-maintained, and the sound and picture quality were good. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Mahkota Parade Melaka, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do shopping and have fun in Melaka. It is a must-visit place for anyone who loves shopping, dining, and entertainment.

One of the best shopping mall in Melaka. Good food and has the best indoor playground for children in that area. Great place for families. The wide variety of shops is good. The only downside and great disappointment, the surau is quite small and extremely crowded. The toilets definitely need alot of improvement.

Pretty happening shopping mall. A lots of event happening here and brands wise very balance. It means this mall has normal no name brand + some well known brands. Pretty good balance shopping experience. Maybe they need to update or organize their foods. Not much of choice except fast food. But it's fully understandable due to limited space and lots. I have great time here. Definitely will come visit again. Oh btw I'm from KL.

A number of international brands are present in this mall too. Cleanliness is good. Facilities are well maintained. Public toilets are well maintained. There are numerous parking spaces within the mall. Facilities for handicapped patrons are available and adequate.

This place need a serious makeover. ESPECIALLY THE WASHROOMS! For such a well-established mall. The least you can do is to maintain the hygiene and fix the toilet bowls and pipes. Yes, many well known retailers are here, but please maintain the place like it should be.

A good place for locals and tourist. Has a diverse food court where we can find a variety of local delicacies. This mall boasts a wide array of retail stores, ranging from popular international brands to local brands. Also has a cinema for those seeking entertainment. But, the management should improve the cleanliness of the toilets.

Old mall that i like to visit because it has guardian and watson in the same building For snack time. Gigi coffee is recommended. Plus muffin from kenny rogers

  • 4/5 Eremice 1 year ago on Google
Not a huge mall, but big enough to find all the necessary and unnecessary stuff you need. As it's like a labyrinth I took 2 pictures of the plan to find your way. The food store is in the basement. There are a plenty of shops for mobile phones, some for camera, and as for the unnecessary things you'll find expensive true French perfumes and jewels. Last but not least you'll enjoy to relax in a coffee shop while admiring the diamond necklace you've bought to your lady...

Title: Unsanitary and Unpleasant Experience: Dirty and Smelly Toilets at Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I recently visited Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall and unfortunately, I had an extremely unpleasant encounter with their toilets. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were severely lacking, leaving a lasting negative impression on my overall experience. Upon entering the restroom, an overpowering stench immediately assaulted my senses. It was evident that the facility had not been adequately cleaned or maintained for quite some time. The foul odor permeated the entire space, making it difficult to even breathe properly. The state of cleanliness in the toilets was appalling. The floors were littered with trash, toilet paper, and other debris. The toilet bowls were visibly dirty and lacked even the most basic cleanliness. The presence of unflushed waste and unpleasant stains further highlighted the poor maintenance and negligence. To add to the discomfort, there was a shortage of essential restroom amenities. Soap dispensers were empty or broken, making it impossible to maintain proper hand hygiene. The lack of paper towels or functional hand dryers made it even more challenging to dry hands after washing. Inadequate maintenance of fixtures such as broken faucets and dysfunctional toilets only exacerbated the already dire situation. Furthermore, the overall condition of the restroom indicated a lack of regular cleaning routines. The lack of toilet seat covers and overflowing trash bins demonstrated a clear disregard for the well-being and convenience of the mall's visitors. The absence of proper ventilation made the atmosphere stuffy and suffocating, compounding the overall discomfort. It is disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for basic hygiene standards in a shopping mall of Mahkota Parade's stature. Visitors should not have to endure such unsanitary and distressing conditions when using the restroom facilities. Cleanliness and upkeep are essential to ensure a positive experience and to protect the health and well-being of mall patrons. In conclusion, the dirty and smelly toilets at Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall left a significant negative impact on my overall impression of the establishment. The lack of cleanliness, unpleasant odor, and insufficient amenities were highly disappointing. I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate action to rectify these issues and prioritize the maintenance and cleanliness of their restrooms. As a consumer, I believe it is crucial to raise awareness of such deficiencies to encourage improvements in the future.

The food selection for non-vegetarians is fairly acceptable, but it is limited for vegetarians. Previously, there was an Indian food establishment that offered a few vegetarian dishes, but it seems to have disappeared in recent years. During my recent visit after the pandemic, I was in a rush and could only find vegetarian fried rice as a suitable option for vegetarians.

I have no issue with the shopping mall per se but the security guard must be aware and knowledgable about the place example where is the main entrance from which a ping(for pick-up of Grab ride)is a MUST..aside from that,so far..I am satisfied. As for me,my whole day is not enough to really enjoy all the establishment.Next time,I may try the bowling alley for a practise!

Plenty of shops and restaurants. Also can get original/official things here. A lot of parking area but payable (starting RM3.30). It will be crowded and jam around here usually on weekends. Good place for tourists. (Near Taming Sari Tower and Dataran Pahlawan).

I've visited this place multiple times over the past decade. The interiors give off a dated vibe, and I've noticed changes in tenants. However, some anchor tenants have remained constant. It's quite impressive to see this older mall staying in step with trends and competing with newer malls nearby.

There a lot of parking inside the buliding, have 2 main entrance using lift or through Parkson. The parking inside cheaper than outside parking. Love the food at food court, Yong Tau Fu is one of my favourite and must eat everytime go this place. Also have cinema, bowling, toy world, kaison, parkson, family store and so on... There is also have bazar for Melaka local food and you should get for family and yourself. Clean restroom 👍👍👍 Picture show a lot of parking at main entrance but sometimes people struggle outside to find parking 😁

Just okay lah. Not many people, not many shop lots like some other malls. Normal shopping mall. But to park inside was crazy long queue during my visit. Better park outside (in front of the mall). Find one near the entrance/outside (small) stairs, even it's raining it's not too far to redah.

  • 3/5 Anis B. 2 years ago on Google
Quite a few shops still unoccupied. For the rest of the shops, trying they best to look lively again. The only prob is the auto pay upon entry to the parking lot. Having a problem in accessing to both credit and debit card, not to mention the Touch n Go card too causing a bit of a jemm at the entrance gate.

  • 5/5 Shahrul Hafiz Abd M. 2 years ago on Google
Love this place as lots of parking space and provides wide range of different choices. The only problem - always face heavy traffic jem hard to exit thr mall from.parking space. Overall, still my favourite choice if i go to Melaka city.💚💚💚💕💕💕💕

Nice but simple christmas decoration. But the food court was a little disappointing. Not many varieties as before. But luckily i was able to get my soya bean drink and bean curd. Was very refreshing. Other outlets were ok.

Most of the shop is closed down.. very clear.. maybe due to long MCO. Not fun anymore.. Parking machine also suck...make sure you have an enough balance of touch & go card. If you using debit/kredit card it will take your deposit rm15 & returned back after out. Again... the parking machine is very suck..sometimes not detect the card & take long time to detect.. make an everyone queue..

Mahkota Parade was the first ‘regional’ shopping centre located in the commercial and tourist centre situated in the heart of Melaka town. Mahkota Parade is positioned as the premier shopping centre in the region with Parkson established as its main anchor. The centre serves as the main destination for major community events, tourist events, and exhibitions in the state. The management completed an exit survey of over 1,020 shoppers in 2019 to better understand shopper demographics and behaviours. The major anchor change in 2019 was the opening of the new supermarket, Family Store, a local chain. Occupancy was 96.4% with 8.4 million visits in 2019.

It's getting a bit dated. Its food centre used to draw the crowd with claypot chicken rice but now it looks dark and unappealing. Lots of empty lots too. This place seriously needs a fresh coat of paint and better lighting.
