Fantastic beach and clearly enjoyed by those in the know. Some resorts in the northern side.. home to the legendary full moon parties.. and perhaps any other event or excuse for a party. Several other resorts and shops / restaurant under repair or construction .. but the beach is flawless. Make it a day.. Getting here.. take a taxi / scooter / Songthaew.. it is on the southern tip of Koh Phangan.. and the road to this piece of paradise is a 5km strip of hills and hairpin bends. Still worth it.

it would be a nice beach if the resorts removed the waste from the beach in the morning that washes up every day. but apparently that is not their priority until people stay away. This is the rubbish we collected from just 30m beach. The little fish were locked in the cup!! People clean up your rubbish!

Great, large beach with beautiful sand. Very good for swimming. In general, it is one of the best beaches on the island. It is also a place of the famous (infamous?) Full Moon Party. If you want to just spend good time on the beach (without crowds and garbage) try to avoid this beach few days before and after the FMP.

Full moon party was great fun and very busy. I have been there a couple of times over the years, and I feel the DJs selection has dropped a little. Worth to stop by when you around the islands.

I would say this is the nicest beach of all on the island, and crowded place. Water seems to be clean and no seaweed like others beaches, and it's a place where tourists come for party like Full moon party.

The beach and surroundings are really good, you can find some good restaurants as well. do not get into the rental scooter trap as soon as you'll reach to the beach they'll start calling you. roam and know the place first then go for booking as per your requirements. Ferry is also available Koh Samui to Koh Phangan there.

Loved this beach on the night of the fmp, and the bars there are lovely for a chill vibe on the surrounding nights. Beach is quite nice in its own right, plenty space and not too crowded with nightly fire shows taking place.

The location of Full Moon Party. Beach by day and by night all the restaurants have tables and chairs out on the beach, fire twirlers and music. If you walk further down the beach away from the bars there are some quieter little hang out spots with hammocks and hot cacao. Love this place, will definitely be back.

The largest beach on Koh Phangan. it is very wide and spacious. the Fullmoon Party always takes place here. the sand is fine-grained and relatively clean. the water is clean with waves. on the beach there are many accommodations, bars and restaurants. so it can be a little louder. it's still a nice place to sunbathe

White powdery sand beach, venue for monthly full moon parties. Drink averages ฿350-400 for a bucket of whatever and ฿100 for a big bottle of local beer, not bad compared to the first few parties. Have fun !

Am I at Miami beach? I’ve never been there before but I guess Haad Rin might have the same atmosphere. So many western people so many sunset activities like volleyball and drinking. You can sit anywhere on the beach without anyone will ask you to pay for a chair or mat. By the way, I don’t know if it had that situation before covid.

Going at any other time than party nights might be not as you would hope . High Street leading to the beach has mostly closed outlets and a few upmarket resorts . Quite windy compared to west coast . Approach roads in parts are quite steep in places so make sure you've got good breaks .Amusing recycled 4m high flip flops turned into a giant bottle , assumed flip flops dumped over a few seasons of party goers . Stayed 5 to 10 mins and left to go back to calmer waters on West Coast.

This is without rival the filthiest beach I've ever visited. The party culture here has completely destroyed this once-beautiful landscape. Had I not booked a week's stay in advance, I would have left after my first night.

I recently visited Haad Rin beach, and I have to say that the full moon party in July was an absolute blast! There were tons of people from all over the world, and the party atmosphere was electric. The shows were amazing, and the DJs kept the party going all night long. If you're a young person looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Thailand, the full moon party is definitely something you should check out. Although I didn't get to see much of the beach during the daytime, it looked absolutely beautiful. The crystal-clear waters and soft white sand were very inviting, and I can imagine that it would be a great spot to relax and soak up some sun during the day. Overall, I had an amazing time at Haad Rin beach, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and lively party scene. Just be sure to bring your dancing shoes and a sense of adventure!

Nice beach (beside the Full Moon parties). White sand. Some nice restaurants for breakfast and in the evening. You can also find three good Beachvolleyball courts. Some platic bags etc. in the water. The whole area is a bit more expensive compared to the other parts of Thailand.

The beach vibes and neon lights are fantastic, but personally, not a fan of the massive crowd. If you love big parties, it's your scene. If not, it might be overwhelming. Good music and beach, though! 🏝️🎶

It has fine white wonderful sand. The sea was wavy when we arrived. It was nice to wrestle and dance with the waves. 90% of the people on the beach were tourists.

We found this beach the best beach of Koh Phangan at this time of the season the water levels were good and you could actually swim on crystal waters, great ambient around it has plenty of bars and restaurants around however during the nighttime it can be quite unpleasant the loud music between bars going on top of each other and you can’t barely hear a proper one.

A full moon party is held on this beach, as well as a New Year party. The road from Ban Tai and Thong Sala to Haad Rin is mountainous and requires careful driving.

Full Moon Party, what can I say! Great diversity of people around the world, and a mix of music for all ages. Contrary to belief, there was no fighting, or drug overdose, which would normally be seen at an event of this size. A safe, and reliable way to go to an ultimate beach party!
