We've
heard
bad
things
about
this
airport
airport
-
and
-
we
can
see
why
..
Even
if
COVID
wasn’t
messing
things
up,
we
found
this
airport
to
be
probably
the
least
intuitive
airport
we've
been
to
in
our
travels.
Though
it
seems
you
can
get
pretty
much
anywhere
in
the
terminal
without
taking
a
shuttle
or
people
mover
-
WHERE
-
to
go
requires
either
having
been
to
your
specific
airline
previously,
or,
wandering
around
until
you
find
a
display
that
tells
you
where
your
airline's
check-in
counters
are.
At
every
other
airport
we've
been
to,
this
information
is
very
obvious
before
you
even
enter
the
terminal.
The
automated
check
in
kiosks
weren't
working,
(select
your
airline
-
then
the
screen
goes
blank
and
goes
back
to
"select
your
airline"),
so
people
had
to
wait
in
line
for
the
single
agent
working
the
counter
to
manually
check
you
in
and
tag
your
bags.
At
counters
with
more
than
one
employee,
they
seemed
more
absorbed
in
chatting
with
each
other
than
moving
the
line
of
passengers
along.
Several
passengers
were
told
that
the
counter
position
they
moved
up
to
didn't
check
in
for
that
airline
-
even
though
that
airline
name
was
clearly
displayed
above
the
counter
position
Once
checked
in,
and
navigating
to
the
security
screening
area,
the
process
of
loading
your
carry-on
bag,
coat,
shoes,
etc
was
made
longer
by
the
employee
only
allowing
three
passengers
to
load
bins
at
a
time
-
where
this
is
never
a
problem
at
other
airports.
Once
you
get
to
your
gate,
you
discover
that
all
of
the
restaurants
and
bars
are
WAY
back
where
you
can
from.
Finally,
as
we
sit
here
on
the
ramp.
(NOT
the
"tarmac"
as
the
journalists
like
to
call
it)
we
find
we
have
a
"20
minute
delay"
due
to
luggage
not
being
loaded
quickly.
Of
course,
that
20
minutes
stretched
to
over
a
half
hour.
Now
that
that's
finally
done,
there
is
ANOTHER
"20
minute"
delay
to
wait
for
a
push
back.
Plan
as
we
might,
with
over
an
hour
between
connecting
flights
at
our
first
stop,
this
airport
has
managed
to
endanger
that
connection
and
guarantee
that
what
WAS
going
to
be
a
relatively
stress-free
and
even
leisurely
connection
in
Rejkyavik
is
likely
going
to
be
a
frantic
footrace.
Thanks
you
guys.
Never
again.
I'll
fly
out
of
Zürich
next
time.
I'm
giving
this
airport
two
stars
because
it's
possible
that
some
of
the
problems
could
be
the
airline.
Still,
the
nonsensical
airport
layout,
lack
of
adequate
signage,
and
poor
security
logistics
falls
squarely
on
the
"designers"
of
this
logical,
inefficient
airport.
*****
Update
-
because
of
the
hour
and
a
half
delay
at
this
airport,
we
very
nearly
missed
our
connecting
flight
in
Iceland.
In
fact,
our
two
checked
bags
DID
miss
the
flight
and
we
had
to
do
without
them
for
two
days.
All
because
of
the
delays
at
this
airport.
Save
yourself
grief
and
worry
-
avoid
this
place
and
select
an
airport
where
logic
and
competence
prevail.
Edited
-
upon
reviewing
my
reviews
-
I
found
this
review
was
declined
by
Google.
I
hadn’t
used
some
of
the
words
I
dearly
wanted
to
use,
and
just
eased
the
word
-
H-E-double-toothpicks.
I
also
went
back
and
replaced
every
occurrence
of
the
actual
name
of
the
airport
with
“this
airport”
as
the
name
-does-
sound
a
bit
like
you’re
making
fun
of
it.
We’ll
see
if
it
gets
accepted
this
time.
Update
-
my
wife
went
through
this
airport
again
in
late
February
2024
-
and
guess
what?
Flight
delayed
on
the
ground
to
the
point
that
the
connections
were
a
footrace
at
the
next
airport.
Guess
this
place
is
reliable
-
and
not
in
a
good
way!
