Monsees:
Starter
delicious,
but…….
Because
I
have
a
warm
heart
for
Hilversum,
a
somewhat
extensive
review.
On
arrival
(18.30)
in
brasserie
Monsees
there
were
three
tables
with
people.
A
girls
came
to
ask
what
we
wanted
to
drink
and
we
asked
for
the
wine
list.
It
looks
good,
we
drank
three
different
ones
(Pino
Grigio,
Sauvignon
and
a
Spanish
red),
all
three
very
tasty.
The
menu:
nice
choice
of
starters,
we
chose
the
mackerel
ceviche
and
three
scallops
in
cauliflower
foam.
Delicious!!!
But
then
the
wait
for
the
main
course
started.
Around
us
the
tables
were
now
well
occupied
and
a
cacophony
of
sounds
and
voices
filled
the
brasserie.
They
should
put
some
soft
panels
on
the
ceiling
because
you
barely
understand
each
other.
At
7:39
pm
I
looked
at
my
mobile.
A
little
later
the
cook
came
to
report
to
us
that
he
saw
that
we
always
had
nothing
and
that
something
had
probably
gone
wrong
in
the
kitchen,
according
to
him
it
was
not
supposed
to
be
that
way.
Fortunately.
Main
course:
sea
bass,
which
tasted
quite
fishy,
with
risotto
that
really
tasted
like
white
rice.
Not
made
with
broth,
and
the
quality
of
the
rice
was
not
good
either
too
bad.
Iberico
was
tasty
but
cooked
and
not
baked
as
stated
on
the
menu.
Fries
(supplement)
fine,
although
ours
were
very
pale
and
just
overcooked,
but
I
also
saw
good
fries
at
surrounding
tables.
Then
the
dessert:
that
was
very
disappointing.
First
the
coffee
was
brought
and
about
10
minutes
later
my
dessert:
white
chocolate
mousse
and
poached
pear
with
miso
caramel
(hip
trend).
Two
measly
and
very
sweet
mousse
and
three
half
pears
caramelized
....
but
how,
on
what?
Not
the
griddle
of
the
meat?
Didn't
taste
like
anything
and
was
hard.
It
was
almost
dirty,
left
a
piece.
Too
bad
that
a
night
out
for
dinner,
which
started
well,
went
out
like
a
candle.
The
brasserie
has
potential
because
the
cook
is
good,
but
the
staff
needs
to
be
trained
even
better.
Customer-friendliness
could
be
a
little
more,
and
also
wait
when
you
ask
at
a
table
whether
something
tastes
like.
And,
most
importantly:
something
has
to
be
done
about
the
logistics
with
regard
to
the
serving
because
we
had
to
wait
a
long
time
but
I
saw
several
tables
waiting
for
a
long
time.
The
kitchen
is
probably
not
(yet)
big
and
powerful.
In
short:
I
want
to
go
back
again
because
I
hope
that
there
will
be
more
better
eateries
in
Hilversum
and
according
to
Our
Story
on
the
website
they
want
that
at
Monsees.
(Original)
Monsees:
Voorgerecht
heerlijk,
maar…….
Omdat
ik
Hilversum
een
warm
hart
toedraag
een
wat
uitgebreide
recensie.
Bij
binnenkomst
(18.30)
in
brasserie
Monsees
zaten
en
drie
tafeltjes
met
mensen.
Een
meisjes
kwam
vragen
wat
we
wilden
drinken
en
we
vroegen
om
de
wijnkaart.
Die
ziet
er
goed
uit,
we
hebben
drie
verschillende
gedronken
(Pino
Grigio,
Sauvignon
en
een
Spaanse
rode),
alle
drie
erg
lekker.
De
menukaart:
mooie
keuze
uit
voorgerechten,
wij
kozen
de
ceviche
van
makreel
en
drie
coquilles
in
bloemkoolschuim.
Heerlijk!!!
Maar
toen
begon
het
wachten
op
het
hoofdgerecht.
Om
ons
heen
waren
de
tafels
nu
goed
bezet
en
een
kakofonie
aan
geluiden
en
stemmen
vulde
de
brasserie.
Ze
zouden
wat
zachte
panelen
aan
het
plafond
moeten
plaatsen
want
je
verstaat
elkaar
nauwelijks.
Om
19.39
keek
ik
op
mijn
mobiel.
Even
later
kwam
de
kok
aan
ons
melden
dat
hij
zag
dat
we
steeds
niets
hadden
en
dat
er
waarschijnlijk
iets
verkeerd
gegaan
was
in
de
keuken,
zo
hoorde
het
niet
volgens
hem.
Gelukkig
maar.
Hoofdgerecht:
zeebaars,
die
best
vissig
smaakte,
met
risotto
die
echt
naar
witte
rijst
smaakte.
Niet
gemaakt
met
bouillon,
en
de
kwaliteit
van
de
rijst
was
ook
niet
goed
jammer.
Iberico
was
wel
lekker
maar
gegaard
en
niet
gebakken
zoals
op
de
menukaart
stond.
Frietjes
(supplement)
prima,
hoewel
die
van
ons
erg
bleek
waren
en
net
gaar
maar
bij
omringende
tafels
zag
ik
ook
goede
frietjes.
Dan
het
dessert:
dat
viel
erg
tegen.
Eerst
werd
de
koffie
gebracht
en
dik
10
minuten
later
mijn
dessert:
witte
chocolademousse
en
gepocheerde
peer
met
miso-karamel
(hippe
trend).
Twee
miezerige
en
mierzoet
mousse
en
drie
halve
peren
gekarameliseerd....maar
hoe,
waarop?
Toch
niet
de
bakplaat
van
het
vlees?
Smaakte
nergens
naar
en
was
hard.
Het
was
bijna
vies,
een
stuk
laten
liggen.
Jammer
dat
een
avond
uit
eten,
die
goed
begon,
als
een
nachtkaars
uitging.
De
brasserie
heeft
wel
potentie
want
de
kok
is
goed
maar
het
personeel
moet
nog
beter
ingewerkt
worden.
Klantvriendelijkheid
mag
iets
meer,
en
wacht
ook
als
je
aan
een
tafel
vraagt
of
iets
smaakt.
En,
allerbelangrijkst:
er
moet
wat
aan
de
logistiek
mbt
het
uitserveren
gebeuren
want
wij
moesten
lang
wachten
maar
ik
zag
meerder
tafels
lang
wachten.
De
grote
en
slagkracht
van
de
keuken
is
waarschijnlijk
(nog)
niet
groot.
Kortom:
ik
wil
nog
wel
een
keer
terug
omdat
ik
hoop
dat
er
in
Hilversum
wat
meer
betere
eetgelegenheden
komen
en
volgens
Ons
Verhaal
op
de
website
willen
zij
dat
bij
Monsees
wel.
