It is literally mean "Eatery at the Raft", a group table meal standing in the shaky bamboo raft above the artificial lake. There are around 22 cottages standing above the bamboo raft, consisting of large cottage that can accommodate 16 persons, and a small cottage of 4 persons. The area is wide. However, minors should be accompanied under adult supervision since there is a risk a falling and drowning in the lake. The table is on first-come first choice basis. Only the ceiling fan that can ventilate the customer, even the eating area is an open area. Suitable for lunch stopover meal, group or solo.

We enjoyed eating here this Black Saturday. The surrounding was really quiet and gave you a feel of nature. Our food order arrived fast and the vegetable serving was generous. There were only fans but it was cool inside the bamboo hut. For two people, you can satisfy your tummy here for 500 pesos. I recommend!

Had lunch here today. I loved the floating dining area! The food was really delicious and served hot. If I could say anything bad, it would have to be that no one came back to our table to see if we were happy with our order & see if anything else was needed.

If you find my review helpful please click like 👍 and subscribe to my account for more awesome reviews. Location- Kainan sa Balsa is located in Brgy. Banalo, Bacoor, Cavite Philippines. It is very near to Manila. You can enter the expressway in coastal or via las pinas if you came from extreme south. It is easy to find and has ample parking spaces. Food- There are lot of choices. During this time of pandemic you need to fill up the health declaration form and have your temperature checked, after that you can finally order. Pay as you order. Foods are Philippine cuisine mostly but they also have ice creams and other desserts. Price-The price is pretty good. Affordable foods. The price is cheaper compared to the restaurants. That is what we called sulit! Dining- Eating afloat a river is such an awesome experience. There are no mosquitoes and the place is well maintained. It is relaxing and you can feel the province life partly. You can dine in with friends, family or love ones. Night date in this place is superb. Candle light dinner perhaps? Anyways, if you want to visit it, there is no reservation needed. You can just go, dine and enjoy! Have a nice day! If you find this review helpful please like it 👍

Quite affordable, food is great. Pancit Musiko, aside from its name, is wonderful. Has a taste that's hard to define but tasty as well. Must be the musical instruments used to cook it that makes the difference. 😁

Been a long time since I last dined here. And I brought the family for them to give it a try. The ensaladang mangga and talong is so Goood! Tuna panga is fresh and good coupled with the sauces .. the bagnet is crispy and the sinigang sa ulo ng salmon is a bit too salty for my taste. Too bad that there’s no more pusit as it was already almost 8 pm when we arrived.

Place is okay for me. It's worth a try at least once. I'm not sure if it's only on our visit but food is served cold 😕

Literally a dining experience in a stable raft. Exclusive Filipino food variations at affordable prices. Location: Along the road, can be spotted easily, with wide parking lot. It's a floating raft enclosed by bamboo bridges, with areas for fishing ( extra fee). I noticed some mosquitoes in the vicinity. Food: *We always order ensladang mangga. (7/10) the mangoes are crunchy, can be shared by 2-3 persons. *Inihaw na panga ng tuna-( 8/10)sizes may vary, the personnel will inquire for pax. It's tasty, sarap simutin. *Bulalo -( 7/10)a bowl can be shared by 3 pax *Chicken kebab (8/10) *Pork barbecue (9/10) *Lechon kawali (8/10) *Crispy PATA (10/10) 🤩 We frequent this place but the above mentioned are our constant favorites.

The food here is affordable and delicious compared to other alfresco restaurants. We went there in the evening so I only saw black water in the Balsa. Their balsa is sturdy and secured. Been passing through this place during lunch time and their parking lot is always full. It is a sign the people loved to eat here.

We dine here while under Pandemic Protocol. The crew and management are awesome. The premises are clean. They always disinfect. They even have a sprinkler on the poles spreading disinfectants on the air, don't worry it's away from the dining tables. It's al fresco dining?! Always have been. :D Ratings: Location: Great, Romantic even. Food: Awesome, it's worth it. Drinks: Many to choose from. Crew: Kind and friendly.

Went in to treat my girlfriend for mother's day....I didn't eat anything. Doesn't look appetizing and thr road leading to this place was closed, which meant that we had to take the 12 minute walk there.

Food not appropriate for the price. Pinaputok na Dory was WAYYY too salty. Sinigang na hipon only had 6 pcs. Inihaw na squid was too tough. Only had lettuce and a bit of onions and tomatoes. Guard was attentive as a parking guide.

Perfect place for dine outs. Atmosphere is lovely as you eat deliciously cooked Filipino meals with loved ones in the balsa. Servers are very welcoming. Value for money. Highly recommended!

What a weird atmosphere, the male servers could smile once in a while, they treat you like a nuisance rather than a paying customer. Staff is more busy with eachother. The chicken and pork skewers had an "off" taste, I did not eat them except for a small bite, dont want to get sick

We ate here to celebrate my Moms birthday, Food is Superb the only thing that concerned me is the Attitude of their waiter, like we waited more than 20mins for them to clean our table. we ask them like 5x but no one is assisting us.

Traveling from Hawaii and missing authentic Filipino dishes I went to kainan sa balsa as a recommendation. And this place did not disappoint. Eating here gave me a taste of my childhood and even better. The prices are very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are a lot of food choices to choose from. You could even fish while you eat at the balsa rafts and you can have them grill it for you for a menial fee.The shakes remind me of Thailand because they use fresh fruits and not from concentrated juices which are a better and healthier alternative. over all if I’m in the Philippines again I’ll definitely stop by here.

For ₱1.6K+/-, I think it was rather on the cheaper side considering the sizes of 2 of the dishes that we ordered. Serving sizes were big. The inihaw na panga (grilled fish jaw) alone was huge, and that was almost half the bill at around ₱750-ish. I initially thought they gave us the wrong one, it looked like it could feed a group of 5 people. There were only 2 of us. Then the tahong (mussels) was also of a sizable portion. Perhaps the only things that looked the expected proportions were the pork BBQ, and the kinilaw na tuna (raw tuna dish). Enjoyed the food. But really couldn't finish all of it. There was too much. 😅 Parking was decent. We ended up taking a spot at the walled, vacant lot right next to the restaurant because the one out front was already full. It's just a few steps from the restaurant's main entrance. Really very close.

My first time dining experience at Kainan sa Balsa....and it is quite unique because literally you are on top of a balsa inside a man-made pond..the foods taste good...we ordered ensaladang mangga, pork liempo and inihaw na plapla for our dinner...an all Filipino local foods that still fascinates me..take a look at our ordererd foods. Highly recommended👍👏😉
