Fantastic view and landscape over there! The route take not too long and you will be every time surprise to see what come next! All sees are so beautiful like in photos. Just tooooo much people when the weather so good.. in August I have to wait 1 hour for ticket and cable car to go up there.

The hike itself (that we made it to) was great and had amazing views. Wasn't very hard to walk on with tennis shoes That being said, make sure you plan your times carefully - we arrived right before noon, and the lift operators were taking a lunch break. So we had to wait until 1pm to start up the mountain in the cable cars. The last lift down from the top is at 5, or 5:30 (depending on which one you take) and it took us an hour to get to the top - this left us with about 2.5 hours to hike once we got to pizolhutte. That ended up not being much, we made it to the first lake (at what I felt was a pretty brisk pace) before turning back to ensure we could get the lift down. So, make sure you arrive early, between 10 and 11am to have enough time for the full experience!

One of the most incredible Swiss hikes I’ve ever made (although I’ve been living in Switzerland for 2 years and saw bunch of lakes and views))) Hike is quite easy (if you start your way from very top - from Pitzolhütte) and medium if you are doing the full “5 seen wanderung” starting from Gaffia cable car. But it worth every penny! Due to touristic flow decrease caused by covid there were just few people near lakes so you can easily make beautiful pictures, have a swim if it is hot outside - although the water temperature is for brave ones only))) Ticket costs 44 chf per person to Gaffia (22 with GA/Halbtax) and 48/23 chf to Pitzolhütte Parking is currently for free.

Not a difficult hike with amazing lakes! It can be crowded during weekends. Be careful with the hours of the gondola (especially to go back down)! You can also have a discount with the half-fare card Oh and it’s high in the mountains! So, bring a pullover because it can be cold

You can reach this place easy by the car, parking fee 5 CHF whole day, take a lift in direction to Pizol Hütte, and then walk few km...The hiking trail is not so hard, but you need to have proper shoes, enough to drink and off course a jacket. Look for weather forecast for the area prior to your arrival. Lift cost 46 CHF for 5 Lake sight seeing. It's a bit to expensive but area is just amazing...You will enjoy it!

Must see! To start this hike you need to take 3 lifts from Wangs to Pizolhütte, and to come back two lifts from Gaffia to WangsTicket price with GA travelcard/Halbtax is 24.5 CHF (5-Seen Wanderung ticket). The whole hike took me 4.5 hours (including three hours 10-15 minutes breaks), but without Wangsersee. Be aware that last lift from Gaffia to Wangs leaves at 16:30. The hike is not technically difficult, but it takes some time. During the weekend there might be many people, do not be surprised by bottlenecks. Along the way there are many streams where you can fill your water bottle, but be careful, there is basically nowhere to pee :)

The place is a great place to hike with friends. If you have got the energy for it, you can enjoy the view of be the lake, beautiful mountains and the scenery. The weather is uncertain, as some minutes ago there will be sun, and after some time, it might get cold. So be prepared for almost anything. There are no bathrooms or places to fill up water, after you have started to hike, so I suggest to fill the bottles and empty the tank before starting.

Absolutely worth it! One of the most beautiful hikes I ever did. About 45 minutes to take the three lifts up to the starting point. Buy tickets online in advance to skip the line. We walked 4,5 hours including some breaks. The end point is the point the 2nd lift ends. Then about 25 minutes to take the first two lifts back to go down.

A recommended hike that takes between 4 and 5 hours to complete, depending not only on your ability - but also the conditions. I did it in early October, there was snow and ice on the trail as well as slippery mud, so caution is needed, and on the steep descent to Schottensee, several people fell on the ice. The colourful water looks best in mid summer with high sunlight, something I didn’t get to see on my visit due to a much lower sun angle. The colours were less vibrant. It isn’t too busy with people at this time of year, even though it was a weekend. I started at Pizolhütte and hiked up to Wildsee, this was a fairly steep climb but not difficult. The final descent to Gaffia was the worst part, my thighs didn’t thank me the next morning. In total this hike involves 1800ft ascent and 2900ft descent.

A stunning and challenging hike, one of the best in Switzerland for us. We were tired but thoroughly enjoyed it. We followed official recommendations to start no later than 11 am and it took 4.5 hrs as advised, however, if you want to spend more time at the lakes, it will take more time. There are lots of ups and downs, therefore, I would recommend it for kids who are at least 7 years old. Also, hiking shoes are a must.

Amazing hike, the 2,3 and 4 lakes are amazing, you can jump into the ice cold water, it’s amazing. The hike is medium level and you can start either from pizholbahn or gaffia.

One of most beautiful hikes, ever! It’s medium intensity as it is long (11-12km) but not too strenuous or difficult technique. It is a full day trip. The hike itself lasts about 4-5hs (with stops for pictures, snacks, a bit of rest and maybe even a dip in the lake!). Be at the cable car going up earlier than 10am - if not, you might have to rush in order to catch the last cable car down! You will go over some of the most beautiful lakes in the alps, being able to see the top of multiple other mountains in the Serdona Tectonic plates region. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful views and not really challenging but really satisfying trail. All the views over the lakes are breathtaking. Highly recommend for everyone. Arrive there in early hours and enjoy.
