They charge us 3.50 eur per person for the 'energy' and xmas decoration. Honestly, I never seen this. We ve been roadtripping around the region and tasted lots of restaurants with cozy and great lighting and no one charging us. What is this?

Customer service is next to nothing, strange things that they charged us 3.5 € per person for energy and their electricity decoration which was unbearable in addition to the very rude waitress. Once I was asking for an explanation they didn't care and just replied you pay cash or with card

The soup was good but my main course was trash. The food came out in under 3 minutes. So it had the freshness of Macdonalds... wait, nevermind Macdonalds is most often warm. Pork was cold, dumpling was a flavorless mass, and the cabbage was mircowaved to the temperature of the sun. I was really excited to try this place, but it was way over priced and flavorless. Go to the Gasthaus across the street.

Fondue served with no cheese? Fondue meat served for two, priced for one. So quite the surprise to see 2x the price at the end of the night. Waitress had zero interaction between meal ordering and asking three times for the check. Had high expectations for this place; but service was completely absent. :(

As for me, everything is a little bit overpriced here. The interior is stylish and the location is good, but this area is packed with many good restaurants; therefore, the choice is great, don't limit yourself.

Ate here last night. Schnitzel and beef were nice, vegetarian meal was very average. Over priced. One waitress was extremely rude, she had a ponytail with long dark hair. We asked for more drinks, she turned away and smirked at laughed with the barman about our request. She then left without a word. The bill was a high price to be treated with disdain. I would never return.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant with beautiful kitchen and service oriented stuff! Recommend!!!) All salads, meat and fish very delicious!)

Not a cheap meal or the friendliest service, but with the live entertainment, it was a pleasant atmosphere. The food isn't outstanding but filled a gap and the dessert very nice.

My partner got the schnitzel and he said he loved it. I got the vegetarian meal which was average. I was super lucky that I noticed my meal had almonds on it even after I advised that I was allergic to all nuts. They were pretty good about it and gave me a new dish. Just be careful to check if you have allergies because they even sprinkled shaved almonds on a plate of veggies!

Very good traditional food. Had the potatoe soup and the trout. Very good. Service was quick and professional. Second time we go there. Very satisfied.

This restaurant is situated in the most beautiful place of Baden. The meals is OK, and the service is excelent. The wine and another drinks are very expensive.

I came here as there was no table in a similar place that is slightly cheaper but was satisfied with the good solid food. Portions were big though. I had the Maultaschen that came with a side of potato salad and the juicy rumpsteak with delicious cooked vegetables and instead of fries opted for spaetzle. Not spectacular but very good and service was efficient!

I had Rahmschnitzel with spaetzle and a side salad. The meal was excellent, the portions huge. No room after for dessert. I only wished the place didn’t have the modern upscale interior design that makes every place feel generic. The staff was great. The service quick and attentive

We stayed two times in this lovely restaurant very well. Good food and quality for the traditional kitchen with meet and fish. Amazing staff ready to satisfies our special requests. Compliments and greetings in particular to the girl with tail. Nice and professional. SEE you soon

Positive : the building and the interior design with folkloric style Minuses : -The quality and taste I would rate less than average - Expensive , e.g. a portion of schnitzel is 28€ - one bottle of water costs 8,20€ !!

Very nice restaurant. Even though we had made a reservation through their website, and showed them the email they sent us (written in German), they didn't quite understand why we were there and thought we had a reservation for their hotel, and made us jump from the restaurant to the cafe next door and then back to the restaurant. Appart from that minor detail, we found that the servers were rather friendly and the food was very good. The prices are a bit high considering our dishes had no vegetables as sides, but the quality was there. Not our usual choice when we come to Baden-Baden, but we were happy with our meal and will probably come back. However, seeing a photo posted here by another customer, we thought they had cheese fondue, but that wasn't the case, at least not today (maybe they don't have it during summer time?). Recommended

Nice place for lunch break

The Laterne Restaurant is a higher end restaurant, a bit more formal than the other on-the-street restaurants but not to the point of fine dining. We didn’t need a reservation or dinner attire to enjoy this restaurant. The food was well plated and tasted superior! The staff was well dressed and professional and attentive. Highly recommend. We enjoyed an outside table. The restaurant lights up at night and is worth seeing!

Good location and atmosphere when sitting outside. Some dishes and drinks are ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Friendly but slow service
