Really nice small little hotel. We spend the night there when we came to Baden-Baden for a Casino Night. The ladies at the front desk were really friendly. When booking a parking space they even park your car. The only problem you might have when going there by car is that the streets getting there are relatively narrow. Driving the last few hundred meters was comparatively exhausting but it was worth it. Also the breakfast was good. Before cleaning everything they even asked us if there is something special we would still like. Highly recommendable.

The room 212 was just lovely (especially good bedding) and the receptionist was ever so kind, however... I was woken up at 6.55 am by the sound of breaking glass that didn't stop for at least 3 minutes. I don't think this is an appropriate time to recycle glass bottles. And with the window situation the way it is (you can't close it, otherwise the AC wouldn't work) you can't blame me for my misfortune. I'm looking forward to staying at Merkur again, though. I hope this issue will be addressed by then.

We were surprised badly by lack of elevator which required us to carry our heavy luggages 3 floors up (Expedia mentioned an elevator). The room was clean and breakfast was nice.

Considering the price (in July) and location, I was surprised by the size of the superior double room for a 3 star. In general it was a good stay, everything you would expect from a hotel in the 4.5 rating range. Shockingly, a beer from the mini bar was only €2 which I feel is noteworthy. In fact it may be the cheapest mini bar I've ever seen. Room was good quality, really leaning into the purple not just with the cushions but also the alternative lighting. Speaking of lighting, I can't help but feel there was a minor electrical problem with signs in the hall flickering and one of the power sockets in my room ticking/clicking, but the air con covered that sound. Bathroom was a let down in comparison, but more like a 3 star hotel experience so I can't knock it too much. It's functional, it has some kind of mirror with buttons for lights, time, etc. The toilet is of course nestled as close to the wall and the radiator as possible to bring in the risk of smashing your knee. Functional, just not as good as the main room. Nespresso machine with maddening generic pods that don't tell you what they are (light blue or red, which is supposed to be caffeinated?). Free water each day. It's on a fairly quiet road but opening the windows invited all sorts of conversation, blocked nicely. I feel like upstairs was tap dancing and the room next to me was in song from time to time, so don't expect a fully soundproof stay unless you're lucky. Breakfast was included. It was... not great. Typical continental breakfast. The coffee was quite bad, but since i hadn't figured out whether the blue or the red pod had caffeine, I had to rely on it, but I looked actively for breakfast options elsewhere after. There's a decent bakery down the road. And it's well located. Came in by train, then a bus into town, 3 mins walk from a bus stop with 3/4 services running regularly and there are signs on the road for the hotel. Also since it's central, you're not far from lots of things. As in, 10 minute walk from more than a few very nice restaurants. Good stay, if I ever went to Baden-Baden again, I'd consider going back.

Nice clean hotel situated near the centre. Room design is a bit dated, breakfast average. Bit strange to have nightclub videos showing in the hall way. Staff were nice but no card machine, paid in cash - they were apologetic about this. Small amount of parking available which was super useful to have especially as roadworks are happening nearby.

Many thanks to Kati. Welcomed us warmly. Polite and kind. She took care of us for breakfast when we left early. She ordered a taxi for us. She performed an antigen test. Explained about tourist sites

Hotel in a great location in the center of Baden Baden. The hotel is on a quiet side street with easy access to must-visit places in the city. The hotel staff is nice and welcoming and will help you with any questions. Please note: if you arrive during a conference in the city then the price of hotels soars up

A nice hotel in a pretty good central location, with very helpful staff. When booking in, the front desk staff spent a fair bit of time explaining what was in the local area, and even annotated a local map for us. The room was clean however, our minibar/fridge had food left in there which produced a pretty bad smell, which had already stunk out the room. Pretty unusual that the cleaners missed this! We asked the staff member to come and remove it, and had to leave the windows open for a while to get rid of the smell. The receptionist didn’t seem that apologetic, but was maybe just as confused as we were. The price was pretty reasonable too. Would have been 4* if it wasn’t for the mouldy food left in the fridge. A complimentary drink probably would of recovered this.

Cozy hotel The hotel is in a peaceful and central area. Staff on the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The room was cleaned good every day. Wonderful breakfast with a very good coffee. We would stay in this hotel again if we come back to Baden-Baden.

Not bad location But at a small street so you can’t park by yourself, a little help form the receptionist. Very quiet room. A good variety of breakfast.

Very nice hotel, a great location only block from the center of town, restaurants and the casino We found the staff to be very helpful. On Christmas Eve we had a mini party with the hotel clerk and a few guests. Really nice people. Will be back

Loved this boutique hotel in the heart of baden-Baden! Very personal service, big and luxurious room and tasty breakfast! The location is just perfect for exploring Baden-Baden!

Great location to enjoy the town. The price was reasonable and the staff was very accomadating. I will definitely stay here my next trip to Baden-Baden. PS they appreciate cash payments as it compensates for the rising cost of accepting credit cards. BREAKFAST: They best most attentive staff that I have experienced in an breakfast inclusive hotel. They make many things themselves and offer barista coffee by the cup made to order as well as eggs and omelets.

Good hotel with pleasant rooms in a central area. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Twisted my knee trying to retrieve my car from the metal ramp they made me park on for £18. Would go again though and suffer the parking. Don't take a nice car!

We stayed in a double superior room which was pretty big. A bit dated though but very clean. The A/C was one of those small movable ones with a hose out of the window, which made a lot of noise so we couldn't have it running during the night. Which was unfortunate because the room warmed up pretty quickly. Breakfast was pretty good with a decent selection. The only downside was perhaps that the older gentleman who was walking around isn't able to 'read' the guests. During the morning not everyone is keen on having someone in their face all the time and having lengthy conversations. The location is perfect, just steps away from the centre.
