In a normal country, this place would never been existed. Because of security issues and corruption, all passengers (unless the ones with special connections to the gov), needs to stop here (about 10klm before the airport) and have to have a designated taxi managed by the only one private company (supported by gov), and pay around 50$ just for that 10klm ride!!!!!? PS. You can share the taxi.

Here you arrive in Firnas square to take special cars drive you to Baghdad International Airport building... You pay 10.000 Iraqi dinars (6.5 $) , and if you wish to use VIP vehicles, it will cost 25.000 Iraqi dinars ( 17 $ ) . Due to security concerns, no one is allowed to reach the airport building by own car.

A place that lacks the most basic necessities to befit an Iraqi person

It's a great place with significant importance. But I feel sad and angry every time I want to travel via the airport thinking of all the money they make us pay to get inside.

I don’t like this place, greedy people want to get money for anything, getting to the parking cost you 3000ID to only drop off a passenger. Also if you have bags , they are gone one you one the truck , they will fight each other to get your back so they can get money from you

It is an empty place just a statue.

Needs a bit of public transportation

This is the last stop near the airport that non travellers are allowed to reach .To go further you must have an airplane ticket .You can't go in your car but you need to ride airport cars...(10000) Iraqi dinars for each person

So hot, and they do not let city taxi to go around. They also are disrespectful to passengers.

Parking area for Baghdad Airport. I can easily consider this place as one of the worst places for dropping off or picking up travelers to or from baghdad airport. This place have very limited facilities. You can hardly find bathroom which is dirty and not clean, no good options for restaurants or markets. Prices are unreasonably high (at lest 2 times its original price). Mini buses are available to pick up the travelers to airport for 10000 IQD (8$)for each person for distance less than 5 KM !!! Which is very expensive. Some taxis available available to pick you up to baghdad city and they are unbelievably expensive some times its reach 5 times regular price for taxi within the city for the same distance. This place is total humiliation for all travelers wether they are native Iraqis or foreigners. Meanwhile, you have no option its the only drop off area available to Baghdad airport.

Be carefull the security process between this place and the airport can take up to 30 min and nothing here is free everything cost allot you have to show up early and move fast if you want to catch your plane
