An outstanding hospital for care, cure , discipline & humanity. I visited this hospital 5 times and feel comfort here. Pakistan needs this kind of hospital at least every divisional headquarters.

AFIC is technically a cardiac section of MH hospital. Meant for persons associated with overall army departments + civilians can also get treatment on their personal expenses. Harsh but disciplined& Professional staff, Mosque, Canteen& cafeteria inside/outside, Operational lift, Private medical stores + AFIC based, 4-Floors.Entitled employee gets lunch/Dinner. Located on Mall road, Saddar, Opposite Medi Plus Pharmacy

The Best place for Heart Treatment in Pakistan. Much respect for all the Doctors and the Staff here who are extremely competent and helpful. Don't be overwhelmed by the crowd. Just ask ask any staff and you will easily get to where you want to go. Parking is PKR 20/- only however may be a issue to find but you will find it when you are inside the Armed Forces Institutes area. Trust you are in Good hands and Leave the rest to God. Public Information is available online for AFIC.

To foreign nationals if you can please avoid this . Use less for civilian but people don't have much options. Doctors are experts but military minded stricts bossy type people with lake of empathy who will surely treat u less thn a human .useless rules and regulations. And yes my mother died aftr open heart surgery bcoz they removed the blood draining tube earlier (within 48hours) thn needed and next day my mother didn't wake up .Doctor told us ohh the blood is pooling near heart they reopened her and used baloon for lung support and still my mother died while still unconscious. It was written by Allah but doctor removed the draining tube earlier .

AFIC is one of the highest rank Cardio health facility in the country, it is run by Pakistan Army. Situated in the heart of Rawalpindi. Professional doctors are available round the clock to cater for any health specially heart related emergencies. For military persons it is free for civilians you need to adopt a procesure to get treatment at this facility.

The time management of this hospital is very poor. I am waiting for 1.5 hours for my turn, I guess the PA doesn't understand anything about scheduling patients timetable. Although they don't take appointments, they believe in first come first serve but waiting time of 1.5 hours and counting is not at all acceptable. When we got our turn the doctor was so tired that he didn't even look at the reports and I had to ask him if the reports are okay or not. He gave us only 5 minutes when the other patients stayed inside for more than 20 minutes. In the end he just gave us some more tests but we are not at all satisfied. 30 minutes max should be the waiting time for any both armed forces and civilian patients. We used to come in this hospital decades ago and reason of shifting to private hospitals was one of the same reason I am writing this review. I will from now on shift back to private hospital again as I had to visit this hospital due to an emergency. A lot of things needs to change here to make patients lives easier.

One of Only in Pakistan the diagnostics side its departments include Histopathology, Haematology, Chemical pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology, Endocrinology and Nuclear Medicine. It is usually commanded by a Major General, currently being commanded by Major General Pervez Ahmed, HI(M). He is the senior most pathologist of the Pakistan Armed Forces, consultant hematologist and bone marrow transplant specialist. As a Major General, he has held the highest professional medical appointments in Pakistan Army such as Advisor in Pathology (Armed Forces), Professor of Pathology, Army Medical College and Commandant Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Center. Presently he is serving as Commandant Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Rawalpindi. This is the Top Pathology Lab in Pakistan The Upper staff of AFIP is very polite, helpful and very well Qualified πŸ‘. I tried Agha khan Lab Shaukat khanam Excel Lab IDC Chughtai Shifa int North-west RMI These Labs are good as well but not like AFIP Lower staff may be a little harsher but Upper are outstanding polite.

Behavior of most of staff is not good. Public washrooms and sitting places are untidy. Expensive treatment. Most of the medicines and tests are asked to get privately. There is no wheelchair accessible parking here. Finding a car parking is very difficult. Best only for armed forces persons

Excellent hospital. State of the Art. Equipped with exceptional surgical team and post-cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Pre-surgical work up most thorough in this setting as compared to any other cardiac hospital which helps them achieve excellent results. Blessing to have such a remarkable national institute with so many highly qualified professional doctors.

Afic is good for cardiac patients. But for the patients admitted in wards..even for their single attendant relative there is no place to sit.although everybody knows that if they allow ,people will make crowd.but at least there must be some hall or special sitting area which may accomodate at least 100 person at a time

A well-equipped Cardiac Hospital where patients has all facilities but a bit expensive and most of the people could not visit for treatment to this hospital due to financial constraints. Even this hospital is not in the list of PM IK Sehat Sahulat Card. It must be included in Sehat Sahulat Card.

This institute started operating in 1953. Pakistan Army Cardiac Service started in 1953 in Cardiothoracic Centre Rawalpindi. The first angiography was done in 1969 and the first open heart surgery was done in 1970. In 1978, the Cardiothoracic Centre Rawalpindi was upgraded as Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology. 3 years after in 1981, the hospital extended their services to all Pakistani Citizens and upgraded to National Institute of Heart Diseases under the President of Pakistan's directions.

Salam. Afic is doing very good service. Doctors are good and professionals there. Only doctors PA's are not professional. They misguide private peoples about consultation. Need to wait there for like 4 to 5 hours to see doctors only because of given wrong timing.
