Dinner last night was really yummy, we totally enjoyed it. But the breakfast this morning turned out very unpleasant. I ordered "toast, jam and coffee" at $6.95, but wish to replace coffee with chocolate as I don't drink coffee, to my surprise, the waiter charged me extra $2.00 for this replacement. Given chocolate is usually cheaper than coffee, and I always get this kind of replacement without any extra cost anywhere else, I can't understand why the waiter charged me extra? It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of principle... Why this extra charge? He said "we are very busy this morning and I'm the only one working here now". Well ... him being busy is not my fault, we didn't complain that we waited for a very long time till we got served to order, knowing he was busy, why should I be penalized because he was busy? At the end, he brought both coffee and chocolate to the table - I clearly requested to replac it with chocolate, why still serving the coffee on my cost? This is just appalling.

In sum: Not kid friendly or runner friendly. No kids menu for breakfast. Portions are small, food lacked depth and was expensive. Advice: avoid before UTHC. Our experience: We stopped in Baie St Paul on our way to Harricana (UTHC) as my partner was competing in the 125km race. We (my partner, myself and our two children) arrived at 10:50. My partner wanted access to the lunch menu, which started at 11, as he wanted a small portion of spaghetti before his race. Our kids wanted crêpes so we thought this would be a good spot so everyone could get what they wanted. They did not have a kids menu for breakfast but we decided to order off the adult menu ($16 for three small crêpes). My partner inquired about accessing the lunch menu (10 mins early) and our waitress rolled her eyes and told us it was not possible. Shrugging this off as someone having a bad day and wanting to keep things positive, we both ordered breakfast pizza, which was not that good and a bit greasy. When the kids’ meals arrived, we asked if we could get a side of maple syrup (they served it with maple cream). In response to this, the waitress became very exasperated, put her hands on her hips and said « ça va être extra! » We said that’s fine, and she continued to lecture us about why the maple cream was « just fine » and just like maple syrup. Despite what she thinks, our son, who is *autistic* and has a limited food repertoire and does not agree. After she berated us about the maple cream, we told her to forget it. Our son felt embarrassed and wanted to leave. My partner, who was preparing mentally for his competition, also wanted to leave. We could not believe how rude our waitress was and her reactions were not at all proportional to the situation. I am unsure of why we were treated so poorly but after we first shrugged it off as someone having a bad day, we decided after multiple interactions that we no longer wanted to interact with this person. Given that my partner was competing, we made sure to divert any other runners passing through from that restaurant to avoid similar frustration before a very important race. It wasn’t so much as not adhering to our needs, it was the manner in which our waitress addressed us and interacted with us, which was wholly unprofessional and unnecessary. If you read the owner’s previous replies to other people’s reviews, you get a clear view of their attitude. We will never go to this restaurant again and will continue to share our experience with others.

Attractive and very bustling Cafe. However my meal was less than stellar. I can't say for sure but their signature l'orange chicken dish seemed to be made using frozen bits of deep fried chicken. The broccoli was barely cooked. Not terribly appetizing. Try somewhere else.

Had a great experience here. Sevice was excellent. Food was well served and had a great presentation. Asian fusion mixed with modern classics. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price. I know we were dead center tourist trap but they could have lowered the prices by a dollar or two and it would of been perfect. I recommend this place.

We stopped in for lunch on the way through town. Vegan and vegetarian options were available on the lunch menu. Vegan chili was very good.

We were vacationing in the area, and we wanted to have wholesome and fresh food. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier: from the host, to the servers. We are vegetarian, and they were very well aware about the different ingredients in their dishes. We ordered the vegetarian chili and tofu salad, and they both came with a delicious broccoli/potato soup of the day. Everything was delicious and fresh. Moreover, as the restaurant started to get more patrons, they remained efficient and friendly with everyone. It’s definitely in our favourites list in the area!

I really enjoyed dining alone here. The service was excellent and the food delicious. I didn't stay in the rooms so I don't know about them.

My friend and I had a very memorable evening. The food and service were both excellent! Salmon Supreme, Filet Magnon, candied tomato pesto appetizer, sangrias white and red Delicious!!

We loved the place. Everyone in our family founded a dish that was enjoyable and satisfying. I've got a fish of the day (trout) with veggies and rice and pesto. Fish was delicate and delicious. My partner had a chicken in an orange sauce. Also nice and tender and some tai salad. Kid's menu is pretty simple but still has a fresh touch. Instead of regular ice-cream they gave to my kid an amazing chocolate cake. It wasn't too sweet but rich in flavor and moist. Friendly stuff and cozy atmosphere. Next time will definitely visit that place again.

We did enjoy the meal and drinks. We are a vegan family and we struggled to find food in this town. This restaurant got very decent tofu poke bowl and the cauliflower soup that 5yo really liked. There was a young waitress who spoke English who helped our waitress with our order and explained options on the menu . Our waitress still brought us real butter and real mayonnaise packets to the table, so I don’t think all the staff understands actually what “vegan” mean.

😐 Came from Toronto and stopped by Joe around 12 on a Wednesday afternoon. About a 20 minute wait outside, and another long wait after we ordered. We got the "Le Sandwich" and the regular sized smoked meat Spaghetti. The sandwich was small, nothing special, and came with a small pickle. Not worth the...
