No value for the money. Very old rooms with a weird smell. Very pricey for what you actually get. The only nice thing was the sauna and wellness area. The staff including the hotel manager was also not very friendly. We booked it for our honeymoon and the staff not even mentioned anything like congrats or a little note to be attentive. Afterwards we went to Strasbourg and the staff there prepared a very nice surprise for us (cake, flowers, a bottle of Champagne). It was a really nice gesture of the hotel in Strasbourg. This is how it‘s done right.

Superb wellness landscape, attentive and very friendly staff, but the room is only for early 80s fans. No AC, a towel heater that made every visit of the bathroom a sauna experience, a door key you could use as a weapon, a bed that caused nasty backpain. Well, I loved the sauna possibilities but the room was bad Dallas or Dynasty. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Would have given 5 stars for a better, cooler and comfier room.

It was a blast staying at this hotel/resort. It was located in black forest in germany and boy it was pretty. I actually thought it’ll be all snowy but it actually was all green. This hotel specifically was different in many ways, for instance it was by person not by room and it was because you’ll get access to the spa with staying at the hotel which is not the case on a regular hotel. What was really cool about it was that each guest had a dedicated table in the resturant with their names on it. The breakfast was out of this world with all of different tea and bread and honey etc. last but mot least was the glass door pool that would open up from inside to the outside (my favorite part of hotel). The personnel were also really friendly and lovely with their native outfits.

The hotel is about 7kms away from Baiersbronn in a small town called Obertal. The location of the hotel and the town itself are situated in a very charming place within the block forest. Perfect location if one wants to go to the near by Schwarzwarld National Park for anything. One can go via the hotel directly as well. By Bus, bus 200 goes to the top of the National Park from a nearby stop and hardly takes 5 minutes. The hotel covered our breakfast and lunch. The quality of the food was really good. They offer a very small lunch buffet but the breakfast buffet is huge and also has a lot of freshly made produce. In one of their packages, one can get a 5 course dinner included, which takes care of all the food requirements for the day. A pleasant surprise was their cake section. The cheese cake and black forest cake were amazing. I ordered them twice in three days and yes both of them each time. The spa has a lot of options and even though it was not very clear from the outside, the spa is quite big, has a lot of steam and sauna rooms, also has a floating pool. I was lucky to not find a lot of people using the SPA during my stay which meant that I was free to choose anything I wanted. Otherwise appointments are needed for some of the facilities. The hotel interiors has a charming old feel, which I like a lot. The services and the amenities were amazing. They offer daily hikes and plans for interested individuals free of cost. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfection in all senses. Sauna landscape is wonderful. There's an area relax which I've never seen. Even the floating bad was a surprise and an experience to suggest.

Nice and peaceful hotel in northern black forest. Perfect place to hide from stressful city life. I did try their lumi lumi massage it was heavenly. They served a great dinner too! The staffs are helpful and very friendly. It's really a great place to spend your relaxing time.

Wow, what a place !! If we HAD to look for something to improve it would be the WiFi. Working in the hotel room wasn't possible. But who wants to work anyway at such a paradisal place? The staff was super attentive, the spa and pool area magnificent, the breakfast buffet delicious and doesn't leave anyone hungry. Would go back in a heartbeat !!

Beautiful surroundings, competent, friendly service, very nice wellness area, sport program, very good food... It is a traditional hotel with many guests who have visited yearly for decades and some rooms are a bit weary. On the other hand, the hotel has completed many tasteful and modern renovations and continues planned renovations. We stayed a week (5th visit) and were not inconvenienced in any way by the construction.
