A very long time ago a colleague, thankfully, recommended Dr. FRANCIS XAVIER STRAIN III to me. I am with Mercy (Downtown) because of Dr. Strain. I am with Dr. Strain because he has been an exceptional physician and human being to me. Of course he has well-honed "hard skills". Thankfully, he has never been, or seemed dismissive or over-bearing any time I consulted with him. He is patient and attentive. He has always been forthright, compassionate and interested in my physical and mental well-being. I take his advice. I have benefitted inmensely from my interaction with him. I am, indeed, very grateful to him.

My visits are always pleasant, with or without health issues or concerns. Everyone is very courteous, efficient and helpful. Dr. Lorch is always upfront with her suggestions and recommendations of my care. I appreciate them all!

I entered a health concern on my chart on Sunday evening. Early Monday morning, I received a response to come to the office. Dr. O'Mahony was her pleasant and up-beat self while showing care and concern for my problem. As always, she asked the pertinent questions, listened to my responses. Upon examination, she determined that I needed an ultra- sound and wrote the script. She is proactive, wants to be sure a diagnosis is correct, and always begins with the steps necessary to help with medical problems. She is a great diagnostician, is caring, positive, and always willing to explain what is going on. She has been my doctor for about 20 years, and has always been on top of my care, whether for regular check-ups or for illnesses that have occurred in my life.

I love Mercy always have always will. They really care about their patients health and don’t just treat them like a number. My girls doctor Dr. Ashanti Woods is the best pediatrician out there hands down. And my NP Nicole Parrau is awesome as well as the rest of the staff.

Dr Wright is the best primary care provider that I know. She is not only competent and experience in her world of medicine, she is also an excellent people person with an unmatched bedside manner. I have been with her for more than 6 good years, and nothing as change in her attention to care, and detail during care at each visit. Added to that, She strives to ensure that I receive the best care plan on yearly basis. I will say that I am satisfied with her as my PCP, and I am certain that she will continue to provide me and other with excellent care for many years to come.

The care I receive at Mercy Personal Physicians Downtown is without equal. Their professionalism, kindness, expertise, understanding and medical knowledge have created complete trust in their diagnoses and treatments. I am alive today because of the care I receive at MPPD. There is no better place to go for medical care.

My husband was a long time patient of Dr. Rich. He passed away April 24, 2022. Dr. Rich is a caring and compassionate doctor who cares about every aspect of his patient’s health. He takes his time with each patient, listening and answering questions you may have regarding your health. I recently became a patient of Dr. Rich after my doctor retired. Why, because I saw first hand how caring, compassionate and concerned he is about his patients. I’m grateful for Dr. Rich, I could not have made a better choice. Dr. Thomas Lynch (Internal Med/Primary Care) is the best doctor I have ever seen. He was on time for my appointment and spent 45 minutes doing a new patient evaluation while never making me feel rushed. He is extremely kind and personable and does not express any judgment or shame. He also explains everything in detail. I learned things from him about previous medical treatments that previous doctors never took the time to explain. His staff is also amazing, his nurse was the best experience I have had when it comes to doing intake vitals. He is booked up for a reason so it is a long wait for new patient appointments; however the wait was well worth it. Having the blood lab in the same building is also extremely convenient and results started posting to my chart within 2 hours.

I had a very early visit. The Doctor was on time and was very informative. My medical expectations were met. I also acknowledge Dr. Lynch's office manager. In all my years of visiting that office, I have never been dissatisfied with her kindness and professionalism. She is a great asset.

I am very satisfied with the medical treatment I receive at Mercy. My primary care physician, Dr. Ghiaur, is excellent. My wife and I have been her patients for years and trust her fully. The care we get is professional and efficient. I can only say good things about Mercy Personal Physicians Downtown, and is why I give it a five-star rating.

Dr. Theresa Lorch is excellent! I have been her patient for many years, and she is thorough, patient, and listens carefully. She is always current about medical trends, medications, procedures, and information. She tries to provide care without medication if possible, with medication if necessary, and provides testing or referrals for things she does not know to gain information. I would recommend her to anyone. She is the best!

I saw my first physician at Mercy more than 40 yrs ago. In all those years I’ve never felt neglected or under treated. My primary physician takes time to listen to my concerns and explains any treatment or medication that he recommends. I have received excellent care under Dr. Rich at Mercy. He is the type of doctor that build relationships with his patients and truly cares. He answers all of my questions and takes the time to explain everything I don't understand. I would recommend anyone to him who is looking for a good doctor they can trust.

Dr Desai is a wonderful doctor. He really demonstrates how much he cares and was able to fit me in immediately for my medical issue. I love Dr. Rich and his office staff. He has a wonderful bedside manner, unlike other physicians that I have gone to over the years. Some of them rush you through like a herd of cattle. Every physician that he has referred is also excellent!.

I have seen many primary care physicians but Dr Strain is the best and easiest to work with. Everything is a conversation and thoroughly diagnosed and treated. Also the Mercy MyChart web service is so easy to use and efficient with lab results and notes from visits.

Dr. Chintan Desai my primary care doc is great. He listens and advises but does not waste your time. He seems to genuinely care about his patients and has a nonjudgmental demeanor that encourages one to speak freely and honestly. He does not push medication or withhold it unnecessarily. Appointments are generally timely and you are seen without long waits. His staff are friendly and efficient. I like him enough that I followed him from Canton to his new downtown location, which is frankly inconvenient but worth continuing the relationship. I have seen several other physicians/specialists in the Mercy system and they have all been of similar high quality. I see no reason not to stay in the Mercy system.

Since Dr. Desi became my primary care doctor we've worked together to create health plans and goals to improve my overall physical and mental health. Dr. Desi takes the time to learn his patients' health habits and their goals for their own health. He then blends the needs and desires of his patients to help them to reach a healthy reasonable goals according to the patient's abilities. Dr. Desi communicates with his patients with a very open and empathic ear. He is knowledgeable and very resourceful with current medical treatment trends and standard practices. He's open to new technology and finding the best medical treat plan to keep his patients healthy and thriving. He also is very honest and has a very impactful way of communicating what needs to be said concerning your responsibilities as a patient. Ultimately as patients we must do our part as well to contribute to a healthier life.

Dr. Lynch is the best diagnostician. He usually finds a simple solution to a problem that can be resolved by a change in behavior or an exercise that he demonstrates. Dr. Lynch and his staff exude confidence. I always know I am in good hands.
