I visited today on my trip to Baltimore, I must say it was goood nice thick crust buttery crust to compliment the taste of the crab pizza the place is traditional but still if it’s not broke don’t fix it definitely recommend if you’re in Baltimore

Must try their crab pizza. Nice pan style crust that was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, topped with generous amount of amazing crab meat, with little bits of onion to add flavor. One of the most unique and delicious pizza I’ve had and would definitely be back for their crab pizza if I’m ever back in Baltimore.

Get the crab pizza. Now stop reading this review and get that asap. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds - Maryland crab and pizza, this is it. This sauceless pizza rocks just a few ingredients, the best being a melty mozzarella, Maryland crab, and onions. It’s all topped with Old Bay seasoning. I highly recommend ordering it at the restaurant and eating it there! They make it fresh and this is best eaten fresh. Please make note that it does take 30 minutes to make! It will blow you away like it blew me away. So much flavor packed into a personal pizza. Price is market price, but ours was around $25 when we got it in January 2023.

Got their cheese pizza and it was delicious. I took my tour de pizza cutter for a spin and it went straight through Matthew’s slightly thicker crust. The sauce is very unique and tastes really good. Would highly recommend if your looking for great pizza and friendly service.

Fantastic place for a beer and pizza. Get the crab pie! I will be returning next time I’m in the area.

A must have when in or around Baltimore! Right on Eastern Avenue near the east corner of Patterson Park. Matthews has been in the community forever. They have many pizza options. From three cheese (my favorite), crab, Margareta, meat, and more. The traditional is a bit of a deep dish, but you can also order thin crust too. If it's your first time, definitely start with a traditional though. In addition to the pizza, they have pasta, subs, salad, etc. I really like their ranch dressing. If you're wondering what appetizer to start with, definitely try the meatballs! I love pizza. Have been coming to Matthews for years, and it has never disappointed.

I have recently moved to the DC area and been on the hunt for the DMVs best pizza. Needless to say my quest has brought me all the way to Baltimore and Matthews Pizza for a slice that would satisfy my shore pizza craving… and more. THIS IS IT! Cheese pizza well done. Absolutely wonderful service as they delivered my butcher paper wrapped 10 inch pizza plate. The crust reminded me of a thin focaccia bread crisped to perfection. The sauce is savory and not over sweet. It truly could carry this pizza all in its own. The cheese was well distributed and made the perfect blanket for this neighborhood’s cheesy treasure.

I haven’t gotten a Matthew‘s pizza for quite some time now. The only thing I recommend is there mozzarella pie no toppings. It is amazing. The cheese is always crispy and well done the crust is always well done and crunchy. It is the best pizza on the planet hands-down. But I do not recommend anything else on the menu. I wish I could bring my own drink because their fountain sodas are always flat. Highly recommend the pizza.

Let's keep this simple: #1 It's best to eat there #2 I order the "thin crust" just ask for that if you don't like too much bread. #3 This is the BEST pizza in Baltimore

The crab pie was EVERYTHING and more. We ordered 3 crab pies with one topped with tomatoes. The only thing we had trouble with is parking. The order took about 25 minutes to come out and the staff was nice. Thanks and can't wait to see you next year!

The pizza was OK. The crust was wet and sloppy. The servers were extremely nice. My biggest problem was cleanliness. The table had some kind of liquid on it. And they have a bad habit of taking the bottom plate that was face down on the table and putting it face down on your to-go pizza and wrapping it in paper. I ended up leaving it and left. That’s just unsanitary.

Oh My Goodness... This is THE PLACE TO GO! I had a good feeling about this place when I hit door. The first person I met was Julia who when I told her it was my first time there took her time to explain the menu to me. Ordered a large crab pie with diced shrimp, a large pizza with both cheeses... half pepperoni and mushroom... half sausage and onion. A salted Carmel chessecake and a Limoncello cake. The crab pie with diced shrimp was delicious... there sure was plenty of crab (and shrimp) on that pie. I'm the pepperoni and mushroom guy... that took me back... I wasn't sure if I was in NY or Philly... but I was in Highlandtown! I couldn't get enough of this pizza! Had to taste the salted Carmel Cheesecake and it was fantastic. That's going to go great with my coffee. Tasted the Lemoncello cake and that sent me to another planet it was so good. That will be perfect with my tea. Matthew's Pizza is all that and then some. They have been around for 79 years. I see why people rave about it... I'll be back!

Remember that wonderful nostalgia you got when you got visiting pizza hut, and your parents told you that you can get your own personal pizza? This is that high you've been chasing. Matthew's Pizza, a Baltimore staple for many years slams. The price is reasonable, the ingredients fresh.. ordered it's with jalapenos and they had a great kick. The sauce tangy, the pepperoni tasty and the cheese fresh and gooey, the crust the right amount of airy. My only qualm with this place is the pie was small. I could eat a pie in one sitting, again see my trip down memory lane above, but it's priced right for the quality and size.

Best pizza I’ve ever had. I always get the buffalo chicken pizza, omg it’s sooo good and my boyfriend gets something with sausage. 10/10

I have been coming here with family for years . The quality has never gone down if anything the food has only gotten better . The quality of service is amazing . The salad for a starter is a go to , the three cheese pizza with pepperoni, the meat lovers , and the margherita are always a hit, and dont forget to grab a cannoli for dessert.

In my recent visit to Baltimore I have been told by my friends that Mathew’s 3 cheese pizza is a must try.. Initially I thought they’re over exaggerating as 3 cheese pizza is quite common in every pizza places..But when I tried it I got the difference , it basically made of hand grated mozzarella & imported reggianito & ricotta cheeses.Ricotta cheese in pizza is something new for me and I absolutely loved it now while writing thus review am craving for it and trying to find a place in Scottsdale..

I was recently visiting Baltimore and I’m addicted to pizza and luckily I found this place online when I was looking for a crab pizza… I’m beyond glad I found it! Long story short I came back here twice within three days just to eat the delicious and generous crab portioned pizza Highly recommended and the employees were very welcoming as well
