Hi First impression is importent! The guy in the reception when we arrived was not even close to give you a smile and you dident feel welcome, everything else was fine Perhaps not the bigest thing but it’s so easy to be serviceminded i think🙂 Best regards Pär

Good hotel, excellent starting point for discovering Bamberg. Friendly personnel and free coffee & tea all day. We stayed there twice and in both cases the hotel garage was full. but at about 300m there is a good yet somewhat expensive (18 euro/day) parking garage. 4 stars for all entries since obviously there are better and more expensive hotels but our experience was 5 stars.

The hotel is new or newly renovated. The rooms are very nice with modern appointments. No complaints there. However, I have never been treated with such rudeness bordering on outright hostile during the check in process. I have traveled the world over and never experienced anything like it. After a tiring 4 hour drive I was told upon arrival that there is no parking available on the premises despite advertising to the contrary. After asking a few simple questions regarding how to best get luggage into the hotel and where to find parking I was treated with responses that were not just rude but borderline hostile. Every subsequent interaction with the reception staff was similarly rude. My experience at hotels around the world has always been very welcoming and always extremely helpful in answering any questions one may have. Why that was not the case here is beyond me since every commercial establishment depends on the goodwill of its customers.

This hotel seems to have a practice of over booking. We reserved our two rooms with breakfast in August, stay would have taken place in late November. We got a bit stuck in traffic on our way and called around 17 o'clock to tell that we are coming, latest at seven pm. The friendly receptionist told us it was all good, rooms would wait for us. 18.10 we received an email that our rooms were cancelled for the whole stay. When calling (again) the reception, the receptionist was very hostile and they started to "drown" us into phone circulation. Our rooms were already given to next people in the line. I can tell you, arranging accommodation during a big fair is not easy, especially 18:30 same evening. Never again Ibis.

Das Hotel liegt wirklich zentral gelegen, vom Hotel aus erreicht die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten in kurzer Zeit. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig und ausreichend, das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, cozy rooms and atmosphere of the hotel. It was nice to have a free water, coffee and tee during a day.

located in Bamberg's centrum, price ok for this time of the year, underground parking costs 18€ for 24 hours. forgot to mention: dogs are also allowed, it costs 15 € per night. you also get some treats

Cosy and quiet. Daughter enjoyed kids pay corner. Breakfast is good for 2-year kids. As usual for Ibis though.

I would say the parking place is a bit hard to find. It costs 18 Euro per day and another parking place around that are not cheaper than this. But the location for the hotel itself is very good, next to the supermarket (Rewe) and DM. Plus a lot of restaurant around the hotel. The room is very tiny but it has everything that you want. I would say the slipper in the room in the additional would be nice? The air conditioning in the night seems not work properly. At some point in the middle of the night , it can be so warm. They offer some free tea , water and coffee that is very nice. Also when the guest doesn’t want the housekeeping clean your room, they can inform the staffs and get the voucher to get the drinks for free. Just one minus point, I put the small note for them to organize some little thing. But seems the staffs didn’t pay attention on it.

Toll am Rande der Altstadt, super Service, Frühstück hat große Auswahl. Zimmer sauber und modern. Wasser, Tee und Kaffee gibt es immer gratis. Parken in der Tiefgarage möglich, ist auch nicht teuer als andere Parkhäuser.

Sehr schönes Hotel in Top Lage Inmitten von Bamberg. Service ist Klasse. Wasser und Kaffee und Tee kostenlos rund um die Uhr. Frühstück war auch echt gut. Personal sehr freundlich und nett.😃👍

Saubere, hübsche Zimmer. Könnten etwas größer sein, vor allem ein vernünftiger Tisch wäre toll. Für eine vernünftige Dusche könnte der Wasserdruck wirklich höher sein. Nettes, leicht chaotisches Personal. Parkgarage ist sehr praktisch aber mit 18€ doch teuer.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, alles sauber, schöne Dusche. Moderne Ausstattung. Verschiedene Kaffeegetränke und Wasser bis abends im Preis inkludiert. Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Top Lage, in wenigen Minuten alles zu Fuß erreichbar, Tiefgarage 18€ pro Nacht. Zugang zu den Fluren, Zimmern und Aufzug elektr. gesichert.

This Ibis is in a great location with historical sites, the main square, cafe's and restaurants, bus terminal etc easily accessible by foot. Rooms vary in size but each is comfortable. No refrigerator and only a partial shower screen (which seems standard in German hotels) is the only criticism. Staff are wonderful and keep the premises spotless. Very busy in summer season and weekend bookings in advance are essential. If ever back in Bamberg, would definitely stay there again. Recommended.

Wir waren am Wochenende 29.07.-30.07.2023 mit 9 Personen auf 5 Zimmer verteilt. Telefonische Buchung einige Wochen vorab hat super geklappt. Auch die telefonischen Umbuchen nach einigen Absagen. Top Service der Rezeption! Auch sonst nur positives: modernes Hotel, sehr zentral im Bamberg gelegen. Zimmer und Bad gut, nicht zu groß aber ausreichend. Bei uns allen Fenster in den Innenhof. Leider haben manche Gäste noch sehr spät Party gemacht was man über Innenhof höre aber dafür kann das Hotel nichts. Frühstück einwandfrei, nicht aussergewöhnlich aber alles da. Tiefgarage 18€ pro Tag. Insgesamt sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden!

I had late check out but clearly the receptionist didn’t tell the housekeeper. The male housekeeper knocking the door loudly three times when I put out “do not disturb “ sign at the door. I didn’t get any apology and I’m not happy with this kinda service!! 😡

Staff is clumsy regarding the communication of Corona rules, especially at breakfast. If the the staff member, who wears the same surgical mask as the elderly guests, sends them away because they do not have FFP2 masks, that's hard to understand. The staff member was walking right between the guest as well. Enforce FFP2 masks all the way. I was also set back by the brevity with which a staff member came up to our table and informed us that we were to vacate the table because our "breakfast slot" of 40 minutes was over. I do understand why those slots are required, but I wish that a) this was communicated beforehand, e.g. while reserving the table, or even in writing along with all the other measures and b) that the staff was a little more emphatic. You're sitting there, trying to enjoy the basic breakfast, talking about the experiences in Bamberg then someone comes up and tells you to leave. There's a good way to do that (Hey, sorry about that but...) and a bad one (Your breakfast slot is over, you need to leave). A little politness makes all the difference.

You are at the center of old town in a new hotel in a renowated building. Breakfast is not so rich in type but backerei (bakery store) and a market is just downstairs and they are open at 07:00 so uou can choose to buy sonething from there and have breakfast at reception with free coffee and many different types of tea. And one last advantage or what I dont like is that they dont have any cupboards or drawers in the rooms to put my clothes in. Then it would ne perfect if I could my sweaters in one drawer, underwear in another one, socks in another one instead of hanging each type in another naylon bag on the wall.

Very good location, perfect place for a walk around the city. A very nice breakfast.

A very convenient place for stay. Room is comfortable and the staff are friendly. At the ground floor stand a REW supermarket and a bread shop. You can buy staff and foods easily. There is parking place for this hotel, and one can go to the hotel room with the elevator. But the sign is not very clear and it took me a while to find it. It is better to park the car temporarily at the loading area in front the hotel and ask the staff how to enter the parking. If the parking sign is a bit better to understand, I would give a 5 star. We will most probably stay in this hotel next time when we come back.

Professional, efficient, and friendly service from check-in to check-out. Small but very comfortable room. Coffee service is not usually something worth mentioning, but here you'll be very pleasantly surprised. Great location, too, of course.

A German hotel with functioning A/C and a well stocked 24/ 7 bar. No kidding, check their website. The scotch menu is comprehensive. If you are visiting Bamberg, enjoy a comfy room, well presented breakfast, and want an unpretentious hotel, close to everything in town, then do yourself a favor, and stay at The Ibis Styles, Bamberg. The hotel is new, with compact, but well designed rooms, and a spacious, welcoming lobby. There is good food within a short walk, and a convenient grocery next door. Look no further, just book this place and plan your outings accordingly.

You have to be very careful in this hotel! Booked a room, but due to coronavirus it is impossible to cross the border with Germany. The hotel refuses to reschedule the stay. This is the only hotel in Germany that does not think about its customers and tries to cash in on the situation! All hotels offer vouchers for future bookings! Don't mess with this hotel! And please, representatives of the hotel, do not lie again and do not say that the payment was from a third-party site ( I booked the hotel through the aggregator, but YOU took the money from my card!!!)

Nice modern hotel in walking distance of Bamberg inner city with all the bars and restaraunts The design of the room was nice and clean, cool interior design details, like the round circular light over the bed. Only downside was the really thick blankets, when it was still really warm (mid September). Breakfast was delicious with good selection of food and drinks.

The Hotel was super cleaned and followed all the security measures due to the pandemic. The room is very spacious and beautiful. The bed and pillows are a little too soft. Unfortunately, the staff was not very friendly and quite cold people. Bamberg is a very nice town, super beautiful and fun!
