Haben heute hier unseren Mädels Abend verbracht. Unser Tisch haben wir im voraus reserviert und auch recht so, weil der Laden war ab sechs bis neun kontinuierlich voll. Als wir unseres Essen probiert haben, wussten wir auch gleich warum: würzig, scharf, kreativ und noch dazu super präsentiert. Service war super nett und auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Ambiente ist auch nur zu loben. Also, von uns fünf Sterne und eindeutig Weiterempfehlung.

My friend and I was in Bamberg today for work and decided to get food before heading home . We decided on Indian food. We found Ganesha with 5 star review in Google . We ordered chicken tikka, cheese and garlic naan, Biryani, chicken Korma, Butter chicken , Fish, Samosas, 1 bottle of Lassi Every dish was tasty and delicious .The service at front desk was good. It was packed in lunch boxes and very well organised . They gave 2 complimentary Lassi . My suggestion to make each food unique when cooked and not use same ingredients even though it is great and tasty but it will not make permanent customers for the Business. We will definitely try out other dishes next time in town . Keep it up!

Fantastic restaurant for some authentic and delicious Indian food and drinks!! This was one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to in Germany...really really good. The food was very tasty, fresh and came in good portions. We had ordered many things and everything turned out great. The dishes from chicken, lamb, cottage cheese (paneer) were all delicious. The service was very warm and the staff was extremely friendly. They were happy to cater to our requests. The restaurant has a large indoor seating area...with a pleasant and colourful décor. Highly recommended!

Had two veggie dishes and they were absolutely amazing. Papadoms, rice, naan and after dinner schnaps were complementary. Portions were very generous. 30Eur for a dinner for 2 was incredible value. Mostly very dedicated and friendly service staff that speak german and english.

Topclass food. Lamb Tika Masala. I asked for sehr Scharf, very hot and it was very tasty and one could cut the lamb with a spoon. Frascati and Piont Grigo wines both of excellent quality. A must if you like Indian cuisine!

Wir haben bei unserem Wochenendtrip nach Bamberg gleich 2x dort gegessen. Sehr leckeres Essen zu noch moderaten Preisen. Unsere vegetarischen Gerichte waren frisch zubereitet mit leckeren indischen Gewürzen. Wir dachten unser Inder in Weingarten sei der Beste vom Geschmack her, aber dieser steht dem in keinster Weise nach! Vollste Weiteremfehlung! Bedienungen flink und sehr freundlich.

Größeres, schön eingerichtetes indisches Restaurant mit sehr gut schmeckender Küche. Das Personal ist freundlich und es wird zügig serviert (auf heißen Tellern!). Eine Reservierung ist sinnvoll. Zum Restaurant führt eine Stufe, die einzelnen Räume sind durch eine Stufe getrennt. Wenig Parkplätze vor dem Eingang, im Umfeld befinden sich fast nur Anwohnerparkplätze (ggf. Richtung Bahnhof parken).

Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Lamm und das war sehr zart und geschmackvoll. Sehr zu empfehlen. Was uns auch sehr gut gefallen hat, wenn man indisch scharf bestellt, bekommt man auch indisch scharf. Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles in allem auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

It’s not easy to find good Indian food in Germany. We ordered for pick up right after they opened up. It was easy to order and very quick. It was a very warm welcome when we arrived. Very friendly staff! The food was just as we hoped, traditional good flavour, very tasty and fresh. Now we finally managed to eat at the restaurant and it’s a great atmosphere, beautifully decorated and a brilliant service. And their mango lassi is an absolute highlight ❤️!

Wir waren gestern spontan im Ganesha Bamberg, da wir richtig Lust auf gutes indisches Essen hatten. Zum Glück hatten wir reserviert, denn das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Die Karte wurde sofort gebracht. Und auch die Getränke kamen direkt wenige Minuten nach der Bestellung. Die Vorspeise mit den 3 Dips des Hauses waren vorzüglich, ebenso die Garnelen im Teigmantel. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir Chicken Tikka Masala und das Bananencurry. Beides war sehr lecker und kam mit einem süßen Stövchen an unseren Tisch - dazu gab es Naan und Reis. Auch der Mango Lassi war vorzüglich! Das Personal war die ganze Zeit über sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Zum Abschluss wurden wir noch gefragt, ob wir einen Lassi oder Schnaps aufs Haus haben möchten. Ein krönender Abschluss eines tollen Abends im Ganesha - wir kommen gerne wieder!

The food was great, my vegetarian partner was happy so it's a good pick for vegans. Waiters were friendly, clean and in an Indian "Thame" so overall I'm giving it 5 stars mainly because of friendly staff, cheers.

Definitely a must go if you're nearby. It was my first time eating Indian food and I have never tasted so much flavor before. I have never seen more friendly staff than here, especially the younger guy made sure to check our table and ask if everything was alright on multiple occasions. We had 2 people that spoke German on our table, and 2 people that spoke english including me. He noticed and proceeded to talk to everyone in the language they were comfortable in. The food overall was perfect, the service was unlike anything I've ever seen before. The server even offered us a selfmade shot on the house, which tasted really good. I would definitely come back here again. And to the younger male server: you're setting an example, keep doing you. You're amazing! 👏🏻

Von außen sieht das Ganesha eher wie ein altes Brauhaus aus, aber der Geruch und das sehr schöne Ambiente im Inneren macht es super gemütlich und einladend. Man fühlt sich durch den guten Service nie alleingelassen und sie sind meist schneller am Gast, als der Gast überhaupt weiß ob er noch etwas braucht oder will. Das Essen und die Getränke werden super schön präsentiert und angerichtet. Durch die Kupferschüsselchen mit den Teelichtern wird auch das Essen beim längeren Genießen nicht kalt. Preis/Leistung muss man auch sagen ist echt sehr gut, haben zu zweit je 2 Getränke und 2 Hauptgerichte nur ca. 36€ bezahlt und waren zu voll für einen Nachtisch. Unser Fazit: Sehr zu empfehlen wenn man gut und günstig indisch essen gehen möchte im ruhigen und schönen Ambiente. Leider habe ich kein Bild vom Essen gemacht. War zu schnell weg 🤗

Sind extra aus Schweinfurt zu meinem 55. Geburtstag hier her gefahren, es hat sich wirklich gelohnt, super Ambiente, sehr nette Bedienung und das Essen ein Gedicht, endlich haben wir ein gutes Indisches Restaurant gefunden, wir kommen jetzt definitiv öfter.

Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und freundlich, das Essen ist absolut fantastisch, man bekommt eine kostenlose Vorspeise, das Essen wird sehr schön serviert (mit Reis und Naan zu jedem Gericht ) und am Schluss gab es noch ein kleines Getränk auf‘s Haus, was will man mehr!

This was our first time at Ganesha and it didn't disappoint! We ordered chicken pakora, paneer pakora, veggie samosas, chicken Tikka masala and butter chicken. It was a very fun and delicious dinner! And we got some complimentary mango schnapps when paying. Yum!

Really delicious dishes and professional servers. They're all kind and warm as one would expect Indian restaurant to be. You'll find some dishes are spicy hot while others are not. I ordered lamb and rice. My wife ate chicken. One can choose to sit inside or outside. Within the restaurant the sitting arrangements are nice and well lit. The space outside is attached and looks good too. You won't find free WiFi here but I think having one should be good. The cost of food are moderate and service times or wait times are very fair. There's a bathroom and the environment or the neighborhood is about 19 minutes on foot away from city center of Bamberg where one finds historical sites or walk by the water. I'll recommend this place based on my experience and interaction, considering the options to do lot more in the surrounding.

Excelente indian food!! Service friendly and on point with what you ordering. Really really good sign is that when you see a lot of people from Indiana eating in a indian restaurant in Bamberg has to be good and well it is damn good. The place itself is clean and very nicely decorated, music also accordingly to the place.

The food here was tasty as well as affordable for students. The ambient was also pleasant. Design of the restaurant interior is eye-catching. Friendly yet professional behaviour of the staff was an added bonus to my visit here. The wait was worth for the food that we were served! Their insistence on offering free sweets(Gulab jamun & Kheer) after the meal gave homely feeling. This is a must visit restaurant when in Bamberg.

Food very good and service attentive as always! We reserved a table for 14 people and, apart from the table not being ready at the booked time, there was clearly not enough space. We were seated at a table suited for 8/10 people so had to spend the whole dinner cramped and it was really uncomfortable sitting for over 2 hours like this. They should have planned for this in advance or simply divide our group into two tables.

Wir haben dieses Indische Restaurant nur durch Zufall entdeckt, da wir nur zu Besuch in Bamberg waren, wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und zum Tisch begleitet. Der Service war Top. Das Essen ließ für einen Freitag Abend nicht lange auf sich warten. Die Karte ist vielfältig und für jeden Geldbeutel ist etwas dabei. Es schmeckte uns ausgezeichnet und die Portion war nicht zu klein und nicht zu groß. Ich hatte ein Gericht mit 2/3 Chillischoten, also rechnete ich eigentlich mit einer ordentlichen Schärfe, nur leider wurde diese vergessen, es war dennoch sehr lecker. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

Possibly the best of the Bamberg Curry Houses, and yes, I have tried them all. Lamm Madras had decent spice. Lamm Palak served in the European creamy style. Mango Chicken from the Mittagsmenu pleased the lady.

Wer gut indisch Essen will, ist hier vollkommen richtig. Schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit einer großen Auswahl an sehr leckeren Essen. Der Service war schnell und stets freundlich. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir gehen super gerne zum Essen hierher und bestellen auch ziemlich oft. In letzter Zeit scheint es aber wohl einen anderen Koch zu geben, der die Gerichte anders zubereitet als vorher und das leider nicht genauso gut. Es ist natürlich trotzdem super lecker aber eben nicht so wie vorher

Had been to lunch, ordered Mango lassie, meethi lassi, veg biryani and paneer biryani. Then was the question from chef, how spicy do u need it be. Considering other experiences around Germany I said "make it spicy" only to regret after I had my first spoon. Expect hotness I did not find any flavour profile of biryani in either case. Lassi was delicious and authentic, A sweet with the lunch was also tasty.
