Awesome. Cave is a big room. Steps, statues, views, middle of nowhere excellence.

It’s ancient Buddhist temple in the cave where Thai people goes for meditation. The cave is magnificent with loads of small temples and camping site within.

Great cave far away from the tourist crowds near Sakhon Sawans. At the entrance you pay a small fee for lighting the cave, then you begin a somewhat laborious climb up the stairs to the cave and on to the Buddha.

It's shady. Pay your respects to the sacred things outside the cave.

Interesting but not overwhelming, if you're nearby I would definitely go in. If you pay 20 baht for flowers and incense sticks at the entrance at the bottom, the nice lady will then turn on the lights in the cave...

The cave is a large hall with electricity for lighting. It's safe and not dangerous.

A bit of a climb but there are a couple of places on the way to take a rest and view religious effigies. Once entering this cave temple it takes you by surprise how large it is. There are many shrines dotted around the cave, which is well lit; the floor has been covered with concrete to provide smooth and easy to walk surface with only shallow steps here and there... It's the only place on my short holiday that I encountered mosquitoes.

Not a classically beautiful temple but the cave with all its images of gods and goddesses is a very interesting side trip..

Love a cave, and a cave with a range of fascinating shrines and statues (plus cats)?! Excellent. Only downside is the 218 steps minimum to get in.
