Climbing
Ao
Nang
Massive
was
such
a
treat!
For
those
of
you
who
go
to
Krabi
to
climb
the
rocks
in
Railay,
this
is
definitely
something
you
need
to
add
to
your
list,
too.
You
get
to
climb
~250m
above
sea
level
and
have
lunch
at
the
top
of
Ao
Nang,
looking
over
the
sea
and
city.
You
need
to
book
in
advance
by
messaging
Rose
on
either
Facebook
or
WhatsApp
to
find
out
if
there's
a
spot
available
to
climb.
Smaller
groups
are
preferred
to
uphold
the
strictest
standards
of
safety,
so
message
early.
Rose
was
able
to
fit
me
in
within
a
day's
notice.
Remember
to
wear
sneakers
with
good
grip
or
hiking
boots.
The
trail
includes
hiking,
scrambling,
free
climbing,
rope
and
tire
ladders
(with
safety
harnesses),
and
traversing.
If
it
rains,
you
get
a
free
muddy
slide
on
your
bum
in
too
:D
I
climbed
with
Rose
and
Fang,
and
they
were
the
best,
most
patient
guides.
It
rained
twice
during
our
climb
(slippery
rocks
and
muddy
trails)
but
we
never
felt
unsafe.
There
are
technical
elements
to
the
trail
but
you
will
be
trained
and
guided
along
the
way.
You
don't
need
to
be
super
fit
to
be
able
to
do
this
climb,
so
please
don't
get
discouraged
in
the
first
half
hour
of
your
hike
where
you
ascend
quickly
through
the
national
park
trail
--
the
next
few
hours
are
significantly
easier
and
worth
it!
