I can no longer remember how many times I have stayed at the hotel. It is still our favourite, even if it is small and a bit old-fashioned. Even so, the river, the pool and the location are still my favourite places. It is true that there are other hotels, more luxurious, modern, with more facilities, on the river that can offer the same, but they are much bigger and always noisier. The rooms at IMperial are super spacious and we have everything. The only thing I would like is that at least, after having stayed there almost 10 times, we feel like they should be a little bit more attentive with us trying to provide the room we like and make our stay even better. Even so, we will continue to go there and Chiang Rai will remain one of our favourite destinations and places.

I came here for a meeting and the staff were incredible. Proactive. The front desk staff would always greet me with a smile. Very accommodating. 10 out of 10 for the staff. The location is also great. Right on the river, surrounded by green space, trees, chirping birds and you don’t feel the noise of the town. Lots of space to walk around and relax outdoors on the hotel grounds. There’s a nice looking swimming pool, a small gym, hotel restaurant, massage center and a place to play shuffleboard. There’s a bunch of boutique cafes nearby, the Blue Temple is just outside the entrance, and you can borrow one of the hotel bicycles to cross the Kok river bridge and check out the town. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Beware if you stay in the cottage there's not a lot of sound insulation from the parties that are hosted next door. Best lap pool you will find. Good staff. Good parking. Great value. Great settings

Quiet spot, soooo close to blue temple. Spacious rooms, huge pool. Bed was a bit stiff, took a while to get a grab out there, bit only 10 min to the main part of town.

I was looking forward to our stay and from the exterior the hotel is very nice. We booked a cottage room where we were treated with a broken down and dirty room. We were soon greeted by a large mouse in our room. When we went to the front desk, the receptionist laughed and then called a supervisor. She then tried to upsell us on a suite room saying it would cost extra and no other rooms were available. When I refused to pay more they all of a sudden had a room available for the same price. We only were able to have that room for one night then had to change to a different room on the opposite side of the hotel which was a huge inconvenience. There was no apology or compensation for the whole ordeal which I found very unprofessional. The rooms in the main hotel were decent therefore 3 stars. The restaurant is not very good at all. We tried breakfast and dinner which were both disappointing. When items ran out such as fruit they were not replenished. The restaurant also charges a service fee as well as an auto gratuity which I found to be overkill given the mediocre experience. Was looking forward to the spa but the prices were much higher than market prices even for the nicer spas that we have been to on our trip ( in Chiang Rai and in Chiang Mai). The hotel has potential but the receptionist's service and the way our situation was handled but an awful taste in my mouth. Therefore only 2 stars.

The hotel is next to the Blue temple and next to the river but there is nothing else near in case you want to walk to get something to eat. The rooms are a great size and there is s bathtub but they are very dated and the wooden floors make noise

The electricity went out all morning for the whole hotel. No coffee (bc no hot water), no WiFi, no ac. They didn’t even apologize. I had to seek refuge in a coffee shop nearby. It delayed my day by about 3 hours. Also, no back rests on the desk seats in the room. Overall, a frustrating experience.

The hotel complex is quiet big, the staff friendly. We had a suite with balcony, but it was not like 5 stars. We have got used houseshoes! Asking for new one, we have got other used houseshoes from other room!!! This could be really improved for a five star hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but a little bit old. The bed is very big (2,4m width), but very hard! The windows could/should be cleaned again.

The location is good for travel, but need a car to go get food or coffee. the breakfast is a mediocre international food selection of a few cold food options. The rooms are very spacious. It is a bummer that most of the rooms have a good amount of trees covering the views of the river.

Don't bother staying here. Unless you want to get charged for everything on top of what you have already paid. In our booking we had breakfast included. At the end of checkout they added an extra 350 baht per person for the most simple and basic buffet. Very simple even in comparison to low grade hotels. On top of this they charge a service fee which they were not upfront about. They charge for extra blanket and pillows. Basically anything that a hotel which is supposed to be 5 star should provide as a general service. I understand that Covid has made it difficult for tourism but.dont think that you will stay in business for long if you continue to make guests feel like they have been cheated.

Excellent resort, by the river. Calm and quite. Bikes available on rent to visit attractions and city center. Property is well maintained despite covid setback. Breakfast is good.

Wonderful place to stay. Rooms are spacious and in a lovely Lanna style. Bathrooms are gorgeous, would have been happy to spend the night in the tubs. Small problem with air con. Wouldn't go below 24C. They sent up Maintenance man and it was fixed in a jiff. Overall a lovely stay!

A small hotel, set in a big premise, its dated but very nice, spacious, clean with a functioning gym, and near to basic amenities with the free bicycles available. One of the few hotels where everything seems to works....

Additional bed at 700baht each and bedsheet 200baht. Everything was counted seperately. Brought 2 kids along & was surprise the staff came over and charge additional for breakfast as she claim 2 kids = 1 adult. Checked out and went for the massage, to our horror it's not even air conditioned and they charged 450baht for an hour. Masseuse could not take the heat and request us to go for 1 hour instead as they sweating like mad. Overall very bad experience the staff at the counter just keep apologize for everything

Huge hotel at Rimkok river. I really like their decoration and wooden furnitures, feel like museum. There are many photo corner spots too
