WOW... If you visit Chiang Mai get here for dinner! Steak Bar Chiang Mai has been on our list of places to try and it was fantastic! Duck & Pork steaks grilled to perfection and beautifully presented... in a Night Market setting with quality you would expect from a 5-star restaurant. Total cost for our two meals... less than $10 USD! Amazing Food + Wonderful Staff x Unbelievable Value = We'll Be Back! UPDATE: And we have now been back.... It's been several months of lockdown limiting travel but we finally made it back to Chiang Mai. We're happy to see Steak Bar still surviving in what has been a difficult year for small restaurants in Thailand. Steak Bar remains a fantastic dining experience. They work magic in the tiny kitchen and deliver superbly delicious with complete attention to every detail of presentation. All at an amazing price and friendly Thai hospitality. Do yourself a huge favor and put this place on your "must try" list if/when you visit Chiang Mai!

Came around 9pm and they only had duck steak left. Delicious. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Served with mashed potatoes and sauce. Worth the 189 baht.

The presentation is absolutely amazing. The food was good quality and the price was friendly. We will definitely come back here again for stroganoff and duck steak 🤗💚🍲

I think this place is the best steak in Chiangmai compared to what I have been ate before. Very good on price and quality ingredients. I would recommend if you guys come to visit Chiang Mai. This place you must try. Nice and beautiful decorated. Nice and friendly staffs. Sometimes little slowly foods but it's really valuable to wait for a greatest tastety foods.

I highly recommend this place! Really good soul food! (My favorite is burger and pasta 🤤). It's the best 89baht burger I've ever tried btw. Everything is fresh, kitchen is clean and chef is neat 🤌🏻 It was pure joy to come everytime, cause food was always tasty no matter what you take. Friendly waitress always so sweet to me! I already miss you guys and I can't wait to come back to your Steak House 🙌🏻

Great value for money. Very tasty and the presentation of the food is 10/10, if you are in the area you will not be disappointed.

A tiny place at the night market. Food is really delicious, prices are more than reasonable. Portions are quite large – I once ordered 2 burgers because I was super hungry, but I barely managed to finish them, that was very yummy but just too much. Staff here (I guess they are owners but not sure) is super friendly and nice. I recommend this place, and I'll definitely come again.

The Steak Bar is a stall within the night market food center. It is tucked at the back. Seats are limited and you'll have to wait for your food during the peak hours because the kitchen is small and most of the cooking is done by one chef. There are three assistants that help around. However, if you can wait, it is well worth it. Excellent food for the price. Presentation and plating was also quite unusual for a place like this. Five stars from me and recommended.

Drop by randomly but surprisingly food taste so good. Although waiting time is very long. But you can shopping nearby. After a short shopping and back for the food. Very warm and delicious! With the price other restaurants might even charge higher. Would definitely come again !

I can't even describe in words how good the food was. I would normaly expect to see something like this from a 3-5 star restaurant, but to get such a delicious meal with so much love and such a beautiful presentation this was a real treat for my soul. Thank you so much for this experience and this amazing food.

The food here is like a work of art. Nice atmosphere of local market with delicious meals. You can bring beverages with you or drink free water at the place. Highy recommend to visit ☺️

Unexpectedly good food. They know how westeners like the meat... I am absolutely excited. Meat was soft and tender. Plates were nicely decorated. Very nice staff.

It's the best food I've ever had on my trip. Duck steak tastes crazy. It was so good that I went there twice.

It is said that it is a Michelin restaurant. I ordered a duck. I did not expect it to be so delicious. It is not dry, the taste is very tender, and the presentation is good. Very good, worth coming. There is self-serving ice water, which is very comforting on a hot day. Although it is a semi-open-air snack, the atmosphere is also good.

An absolute gem and a great find. Best takes the street food to fine dining levels. Food is so beautifully decorated and yes it is done for every single order. Taste is also a 10. Just cannot be missed when visiting Chaing Mai.

If you want to taste Chiang Mai's best french fries and delicious chicken, this is the place. Great food at very reasonable prices. I will be back to try some of the other menue items.

Seeing it to believe it. 5 star Western food at 3 star price. Too good to be missed. I get my self a beef burger and pork steak at one go. Eat like no tomorrow. If I'm a local staying near by, I'm definitely going to this steak bar whenever I'm craving for Western food. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Western foods. Yummy....

Nice food at great prices

Steak Bar is very near to Chiang Mai University and is walkable if you are walking from Ibis Hotel (Huaykaew Road). The bar is hidden inside the market. Usually there's two chefs around and they are always busy. Meaning if you want to avoid waiting time for your menu to arrive (which could take an hour or two), be there early like 6 pm or 6.30pm. The place gets crowded easily due to rave reviews which is spread all around the world (for its fantastic taste, wonderful decor and cheap prices). Non beef consumers, there's pork chop for you. Wonderful place overall in a sit-down bar style.

This place is a hidden gem! The chef is honestly amazing and the food comes out as a masterpiece plus the taste is incredible! Been here many times already it's a favourite for me in Chiang Mai, the service is always very friendly and there is a market to look at while you wait for your food. Perfect 👍🏻

Wow, truly a hidden gem! This covered, open-air food court seems popular with nearby University students, but the quality and presentation of food at this small eatery inside the food court is astounding. One of the tastiest $3 burgers ever. Delicious, creamy caesar salad. Each dish is plated with elegance. Opens evenings only, closed once per week (check on Facebook), and except for Sundays, there's usually a wait to get food. Omg I have come here for years and always recommend it as the highest value for a beautiful designed dish in such an affordable offer. Seriously they have always made a consistent and great looking dish no matter how busy they are. Congrats in being so successful even though the challenging pandemic times and still going strong!
