As an expat in Phuket, Ao Yon is truly one of my favourite beaches to go to! Itโ€™s an absolutely stunning beach and great to just chill at for the day. The water is usually clear and clean, there are restaurants by the beach for food, and shady spots to sit at too during the afternoon. The downside? Itโ€™s so picturesque that you wonโ€™t stop taking photos! :)

the water is not so clean, but the beach itself is not crowded and has a pleasant atmosphere. be careful with parking, do not park below, and leave your motorbike on the main road. an incident happened to me that my bike was locked with a chain. The owner of the land did it because it his land.

Itโ€™s peaceful beach but the water is murky. Lots of stones make it looks uninviting for swimminng. The entrance is hard to find, you better park gy Family Mart and walk through Flamingo cafe, it is easy there. The beach has some shade.

Mostly local use. Very few tourists. Heavy use on Sunday afternoons: You will likely not find parking then. However, during the week, especially in the morning, you will almost have the place to yourself. I often launch a kayak there. You need a cart for the kayak because at low tide it's a few hundred meters to the water depending on the tide.

Good place for pet. But need to be careful with your pet because the beach is near the road. A little bit hard to find car park at the eveing.

Ao Yon Beach in Phuket offers a stunning combination of the sea and rainbows, creating a magical and picturesque scene. The clear blue waters gently lap against the soft sandy shore, providing a perfect setting for relaxation and sunbathing. The beach's tranquil ambiance makes it a great escape from the bustling city life. When conditions are right, you may be fortunate enough to witness a rainbow gracefully arching across the horizon, adding an enchanting touch to the already breathtaking landscape. The sight of a rainbow above the serene sea is a moment of pure bliss that will stay with you forever. The beach's serene atmosphere and the occasional appearance of rainbows make it a photographer's paradise, offering countless opportunities for capturing postcard-worthy images. Whether you're strolling along the shore, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, or simply unwinding with a refreshing drink in hand, Ao Yon Beach promises an unforgettable experience. Keep in mind that the presence of rainbows is dependent on weather conditions, so it's a delightful surprise to witness this natural spectacle. Embrace the tranquility, bask in the beauty, and relish the magical combination of the sea and rainbows at Ao Yon Beach for a truly memorable Phuket getaway.

Not one of my favorite beaches as it's fairly small but there are some food vendors and it's not overly crowded. It's rather far from Phuket City or Patong. It's a short distance from Ao Yon Waterfalls and Khao Kad Viewpoint. At the North End of the beach there is a rocky walkway to a much better Beach

Nice, calm, silent, unpopular beach. Another beach hidden by rock is near, be sure to visit it too ;)

Best beach, not very clean, a lot of leaves on the beach, since the coast is foresty, but always few people, and clean water

Nice beach not far from Phuket Town. If you wanna rent a stand up paddle and are not hotel guest you canโ€™t at the hotel right there (even though they expose the SUPs on the street, ok), but before 4pm you can if you walk on the rocks to the other beach.

Good but after high tide beach needs a clean up. Same during monsoon season May to November. Parking is difficult to find.
