An entertaining evening of some real hard kickboxing and some entertaining “sword fighting” and hilarious “blindfolded boxing”. No need for VIP tickets as visibility is good albeit the stadium was not full. Drinks are pricey (THB120 large Chang) and after THB400 entry fee still had to pay 5 to use the rather dirty toilets. But we had a fun evening, worth it.

The stadium is located at near Tha Phae Gate, east side in the old city. There you can enjoy the authentic Muay Thai in Chiang Mai. The atmosphere is so incredible, surrounded by a number of audience(mostly tourists from overseas), feeling sort of unity. The boxing game consists of seven games and is held from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 pm to 11:00, except the exact finishing time differs, depending on each game. There are also other boxing stadiums in Chiang Mai, so you may find favorites locations and players.

Action packed night! Every seat in the house is good. Fighters from all over. Beer and hard liquor. Full house tonight! Adult fun!

Venue is now re-open several nights per week after COVID (Jun 2022). Tickets available to buy online or on the door. A good mix of fights, some great athleticism on show. Only one bar is operating with small beers at 80baht. Seats are non-tiered but view generally good since the stadium is quite small. Decent atmosphere, and a fun night.

We went on a tuesday night and it was terrible. Only westerners, not even amateur level fighters and rigged fighting. A bit of a mockery of the sport, after visiting lumpinee and rajadamnern last week this was a huge disappointment, this could just be the tuesday night show.

Really disappointment experience. It was pretty bad wince the beginning, since they only brought kids to fight and it was not a good moral experience. Maybe one fight of that kind could fit, but almost all of them...The worst came at the middle of the show, they brought to the ring 5 fat kids blindfolded to punch each other for one minute and it was just embarrasing, to the sport and to the show. Please modify the show or just close it!

Not bad value, lots of fights and a live band plays the soundtrack to the battles. All the areas are the same level so it’s not really worth paying for the more expensive tickets like the VIP section. It’s quite a small arena with a few bars so you’re never really that far from the action.

Every fight was a knock out.. (every fight.. amature fight was a knock out; its unbelievable that 80+ % didnt go the distance); some were brutal.. but most were suspicious. One fight, a very talented kid landed 75% of his punches the first round. The shark walked around... took a bunch of bets and low and behold.. that same kid over threw his punches... missed everything, took a couple weak leg kicks and weak punches and got knocked out. Surprise, surprise. If they took the gambling element out of this venue, you'd have a real authentic experience. Unfortunately, these aren't real amateur fights.. they get paid to throw. Where do you find the real muay thai fights in this country??? Regardless of my review... the event was entertaining, fake... but entertaining.

This is a great location for some entertainment. The food is good and the alcohol is cheap. I highly recommend visiting if you want some "innocent" late night entertainment.

The cheapest seats give you a good view. The stadium is very small. The fights were good. It was a memorable experience and something you should check out while you are visiting Thailand

Great atmosphere. 5 good fights. Including a few knockouts. It’s inside a large shed with open seating. Good views throughout and drinks are available.

Great experience while in Chiang Mai. We went on a Friday night and there was an international fight going on. The female fights were more intense and worth watching than the younger, male matches but still good overall! It was awesome to see some of the traditions behind Muay Thai boxing

Nice Thai boxing. Plastic chairs are a bit dissatisfaction compared to the atmosphere.

Quite unique thing to do in chiang mai. The stadium has a very authentic local vibe and atmosphere. When we went the beer inside was just 60 bhat. If you like unique experiences or are a fan of fighting sports this is defiantly recommended.

Standard seating is fine. Chang beer @THB80. Food served but didn’t try. Out of the seven fights that night, only one did not seem rigged. Others were plain theater. I enjoyed the intermission blind boxing the most.

Very tourist trappy, I went because it seemed more experienced people had a problem with the fights and other ones that did not know nothing liked them and me being in a category of narely heard of Muay Thai thought I wouldn't have an issue - boy was I wrong, the fights are so so extremely fake and incredibly low energy that it was one of the most boring things I've done in Thailand, the only way you would think these fights are even amateur level is if you believe WWE is real. Fake knock outs, punches not connecting and people falling over nothing, very dissapointing and I felt it was very disrespectful to the sport even though I have nothing to do with it. TL;DR literally do anything else and you'll have a more interesting evening

Had an awesome night watching some fights here. After reading some reviews we were a bit wary, but the experience was great. None of the fights seemed staged and the beer wasn’t all that expensive (70 for a small, 120 for large). We had a great time and would recommend to other people

This is a gimmick. Real fights, overpriced. Do not buy tickets online. This place must seldom sell out. The live music band is interesting. They reuse the boxing shorts.

  • 1/5 Andrei C. 1 year ago on Google
Not real fighting, just actors, they are using teenagers for those fights.

Depends on your expectations, most of the fights were very good and authentic. Some of the fights were more like shows.
