Very popular site. The big parking area accommodates many visitors coming by minibuses & coaches. There is alot of landscaping going on around the main temple building with the earth dug up and trees being installed. Looks a bit of a mess at the moment, but think it will look lovely once the work is complete. The inside of the Temple is beautiful; the walls covered in paintings. It's worth walking round the entire site, I found a nice little shrine tucked away behind one of the buildings.

‘Wat Pho Chai’ or ‘Luangpho Phra Sai’ is a royal temple and Nong Khai’s provincial symbol. The temple located in the middle of the town, has been worshiped not only among locals but Thai people from another region also come to make a merit here. Every Songkran festival (13-15 Apr), the image of Luangpho Phra Sai will be paraded around town for people to pour the water-onto (in Thai we called 'Song Nam Phra')

The gorgeous and famous temple in Nongkhai (Thailand), it has a long history about buddha image (Pha sai). First of all, there was established by the Lao princess. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful at first time so, a princess has announced the post for help. Then, a lot of buddhist nuns appeared to assist the princess and built the 3 buddha images including Pha Souk, Pha Sern and Pha Sai so, it is able to say these buddha images that made from the women. After that, In Laos has the war thus, they took three buddha images to cross the Mekong River, two buddha has fallen into the river (I am not sure what happened next?). Highly recommended to pay respect!

Seems very popular place, group tours, buses, mini buses all parked outside. Seen two double decker buses parked right now on a Tuesday morning. Inside the Wat, walls decorated by some kind of storytelling. Very close to Laos checkpoint.

Phra Sai Wat Pho Chai, Nong Khai Province For clarity, Wat Pho Chai, Nong Khai Province is very important for the couple. Please ask Wat Pho Chai to consider it as Wat Aram Luang to Phon District, counting the number of similar temples. It is disgusting, cross-legged, in the posture of Mara, cast with golden color, lap width of 2 and 8 inches, height from Phra Chong Be lower to the top of the head. Count one carpenter's inches. Creation History Somdet Krom Phraya Damrong Rajanubhab to write a book, don't forget the importance which was printed and distributed in the Kathin ceremony for the year 1925 If Phra Sai was to explain the casting to Lan Xang and according to the legend that has been passed down Gathered 3 daughters, namely, King Lan Xang as a caretaker, formed 3 bodies and sorted the names. There is a question according to the name of the volunteer community that Phra Serm is attached to the big brother. Rafting still goes down for everyone at the Mekong River (Pak Nam Ngum), which is connected to Ban Nong Kung. Numerous Phon districts, Nong Khai province, had a big storm. Thunder roars, fiery cries, allowing Phra Suk to rejoice. Various capitas are completely left as information. Then ask to be named "Wen Suk" and Phra Suk sinks in the water that follows this. There are only Phra Serm Phra Sai left that will happen when arriving in Nong Khai. Phra Serm was first deposited and left at Wat Pho Chai. As for the Phra Sai, it was left to remain at this temple.
