Loved it!! You have to walk a bit from the minivan stop, but the views from the room and lobby were amazing! The staff are friendly and offered you the boat ride to watch the fireflies at 60baht per person! You can also purchase the offerings for the monks whom will come to the hostel by boat in the morning. And the breakfast was just simply amazing!!

Nice to stay and enjoy local food and decoration, location in good area just walk 5 mins to the main market. Food is delicious. Breakfast buffet is good as they provide some rare snack items by King Rama2 poetry. Can take a boat trip to see fireflies and give alms to a monk in the early morning. It's very nice experienced. The room is quite comfortable, mosquitoes, though. I definitely will come back.

Great Experience and Hospitality Thank you to the team at Baanrak Amphawa! We arrived after 3 hours (train > boat > train) journey from bangkok and you welcomed us with refreshing welcome drinks and early check-in. The breakfast by the river was amazing and we were glad that we went for the fireflies tour (60 baht per pax). The homestay is clean and towels were provided. The boss even drove us to Maeklong and drop us off at the bus terminal for us to get back to bangkok. Truly memorable stay and experience, highly recommended!

This hotel is in a great location. You can relax in the lobby right on the river enjoying the view. The staff is very friendly and will answer with a smile no matter what you ask. You can sign up for a firefly viewing tour at the front desk of this hotel, and you can board the firefly viewing tour boat without your shoes from the lobby on the river. The best part is the breakfast buffet. The buffet breakfast features traditional Thai home-style dishes that cannot be found in restaurants. The sweets are especially good! The hotel facilities are very old, but you should stay here.

Beautiful old fashioned Thai style, Homestay. The food was absolutely outstanding, don't come here if you want a burger, it's just Thai food of the freshest most traditional kind., gorgeous shaded verandah on the river or room was in the garden with King bed, sofa, fridge, aircon, bathroom a little tired but nothing to complain about. Great value for money highly recommend.

I'm giving it four stars for a place to eat because the food was good and it's got a beautiful view with nice accommodations. As far as staying here as a guest house, it's very Thai style and a bit old but okay or like three stars or maybe two. Beware that you will definitely hear your neighbors and they will hear you.

Very nice place! Tons of restaurants and hotels and small shops. And you can also get some nice rides on the river for a very low price.

Basic Homestay, Nice Staff It is located on the canal ,few minutes walk to Amphawa Floating Market. You can enjoy calm and peaceful canal sideviews together with free flow Thai desserts and welcome drink after check in. The Homestay cost includes breakfast and 2 mackerel fish with shrimp paste sauce and vegetables for dinner. In the early morning you can offer food to the monk on the boat, just contact at the reception and pay 50 THB per food set. We booked type B room which just across the road from the check in area. Room looks rundown a bit and has high humidity. It comes with basic bathroom but has a big fridge for stock up ur drinks. You might find too difficult to sleep at night due to noisy tourists next room. Only one English Program on TV Channel.

We stayed 1 night here. The room is small but nice, colorful. Toilet is clean. The restaurant is by the canal, well laid. The food is superb, especially the breakfast spread. Feast for the eyes and tastebuds. The owner is kind and helpful. What more to ask from a home stay?

Staff if nice but most of them don't speak well English. It is expected in this king of place! You are very close from the floating market here. Breakfast is Thai style and rooms are functional but simple. It is quiet by night. Price is a bit expensive but include the dinner too. The lounge is nice in the morning. After it become a bit noisy because of all the boat paying on the river. Still a great stay.
