Wat Pa Choeng Len Entrance

Buddhist temple

👍👍 The forest temple has a small entrance that motorcycles can pass through. Cars cannot pass. The atmosphere is calm and shady, like leaving Bangkok and going into the forest. People often mention temple,

The place is shady. I didn't think there would be a forest temple in the city.

A forest temple in Bangkok. The surrounding area has turned into a village. It is a temple and a place that is very venerable.

Not just good place for meditation, also good for making merit. The abbot is luangpoo Tesk Tessarungsee disciple who spent his whole night with luangpoo for many many years.

Do not waste your time trying to visit this temple. It is seemingly inaccessible from Erawan Park Avenue, which is a horizontal road south of the Temple's entrance. Although there is a path from that road which allows visitors to walk north and then west (to the Temple's entrance), the monks keep the gate locked during daytime hours. (It was locked when I arrived on an ordinary Thursday at 13:00.) When I arrived at the gate, I could see and hear that there were monks on the other side of it. However, they refused to let me in, even though there were a pack of aggressive dogs barking loudly as they trailed the narrow path I took to access the gate. Let me make this clear: THERE IS A PACK OF AGGRESSIVE DOGS LOITERING NEAR THE ENTRANCE, AND THE MONKS DON'T CARE WHETHER THEY HARASS, CHASE, AND ATTACK VISITORS. From this attempt to visit the temple, it became apparent that the monks don't care about ensuring accessibility, or even about the general welfare of the visitors.

Good place to find some rest. Nice area with lots of shade by trees and surrounded with big fish in the many ponds around the temple.
