Almost 5 stars .... Covid measurement was applied more here after they closed for big cleansing. Love everything and (almost) everyone except the security staff. He needs training at the manner class or how to speak human language appropriately with customers. Please don't bark. When 5 of us returned to the bar, he still behaved and commanded to us like we are his subordinates. We don’t feel like going there if all of us do not enter the club together at once. Perhaps, training is really recommended to this guy. Even our dog can be trained

Tucked away down a nondescript laneway off Bangkok's Sukhumvit Soi 11 there’s a pre revolutionary Cuban speakeasy and cigar lounge! …. But first call someone to gain entrance ….. From the Latin music and the Cuban vibe, the cocktail lounge was well decorated and had such a Latin vibe. The different floors were decorated accordingly to the theme and the cocktails were tasty. The staff were friendly and the host lovely! I’d definitely go back for a dance and to check out the cigar lounge next time. So much fun!

One of the best themed bar that I have ever been to. Great vibe especially if you like Latin music. Recommend going there after 10PM to get the best experience.

Havana Social is located in SOI 11, BTS - Nana Station, it's walkable. It seems to be popular for Socialize people, music taste foreigners style such as Spanish or Frances. They start entrance fee at 8pm onwards with drink complementary, into the bar have telephone to enter code for entry which is newly. There traditional style will have a hat for wearing, which is cool as we are in Havana. There drinks have different taste, cocktail or mocktail and various much more. With 2 drinks as in picture we got peanut along with it.

We really enjoyed our evening here! Dance class and cubano sandwhich are a must!! Im still craving that sandwhich. Portions are small but worthwhile. It gets busy later…but we honestly enjoyed being there around 9pm for the dance lesson and delicious cocktails.

I can’t believe I found this place… Really. I almost gave up after ending up at the hotel across the street. Havana Social is hidden down an alley in buzzing Soi 11 where it seems like you’d only find it if you know what you’re looking for or you’ve gotten in with the right crowd. I came at opening and was carded and stamped before entering. I was so happy to see this dark and moody Cuban speakeasy, after a “trendy rooftop” fail. The bar is exploding with character from the old newspaper menu, to the cigar room, to the bathroom which is covered in posters and magazine tear outs. They even offer guest fedoras at the entrance ! I love it ! The long bar is suitable for solo travelers like myself to sit and enjoy the mixologists creating magic. To my delight, the mixologists are also great conversationalists! There is “happy hour.” Save 100 baht. Pear flower drink was good. Later, I returned to find the place completely packed with a live dj. This place is great at every hour ! A hidden gem in Bangkok for sure. I’ll definitely be back!

Entrance fee cost 400THB that comes with 1 drink in the welcome menu. The tables are fully booked (especially during weekend) but the staff allowed us to sit until the guests arrive. The drinks were great, nice music and it gets louder and louder at night. Definitely good place for dancing.

Awesome place to hang out with a small group of friends. Can get very busy so recommended to book a table or come early. Fantastic cocktails to choose from, though very limited food options. They have a nice room upstairs to chill and enjoy cigars. Downstairs is more lively. Love the overall vibe. Definitely recommended.

Mixed feelings nowadays, perhaps I'm not the target. My average tab here has been around 3-6k baht since I found this place in about 2017. Usually I'll come with my girlfriend/s a bit on the earlier side of the evening before things really start. Note they add service charge + vat to your bill after the price of the beverage. Recently feeling hassled about the 300 baht entry fee and subsequent insulting "complimentary drink menu" despite the place being empty. I drink one thing and it's not on that menu. My girlfriends want the creative concoctions, which are also not on the complimentart menu. We tried to negotiate to exchange our 300 baht drink "ticket" for something that the girls actually wanted to drink, but mai dai. Lol. We'd like to sit on the sofa for an hour or two, drink upscale expensive drinks, and then get out the door by 9:30 before any customers even show up. Maybe someday there will be a more welcoming environment here again. Until then, we're going on a hunt for other secret bars.

The atmosphere created here cannot be overstated. Incredible DJ set, giving the feel of a club in Cuban capital's 1950s heyday, before falling into ruin after Fidel Castro seized power. Entrance is down a small soi, through the telephone booth labeled "Telefono” and the bouncer will give you the number to get in. Soho apparently spent 7 months renovating an old four-story shop-house sourcing all the furniture and mid-century bric-a-brac from vintage markets around town, 2nd floor is a whiskey and cigar lounge. Reservation recommended!

We stopped here for pre dinner drinks. It wasn’t very crowded, but seem like it would be fun later in the night. Drinks were good. The old fashioned was our favorite. There is a cover charge, but it comes with one free drink coupon. Two floors with a unique Havana atmosphere and decor. Would recommend.

Amazing place that gets full over the weekend and has a live music on Thursday. The list with Rum and cocktails with it is the biggest i have seen in Asia. The bartender was very friendly and talkative. In a busy night they have more than 600 people and a lot of dancing. It sounds definitely like fun. Visit it))

Made reservations two weeks in advance. Communication was sent to me confirming the reservation, bottle purchase required. I was entertaining a very important client. I show up with my client and the doors are shut and locked. Neighbours said they're closed for renovations. Another neighbour said it's a police issue. Either way, nobody communicated the closure. In fact the opposite... As I was getting ready to leave, three other groups showed up with reservations.. Embarrassing. Currently looking for another place last minute.

Hidden speak easy bar that makes you forget your in Thailand and not on Cuba. First you have to find the hidden entrance, then you have to enter the right code in the phone booth. Signature drinks are obviously based on Rum, as it is an Cuban-Style Bar. Upstairs it is possible to enjoy a Cigar along with the drinks. The live music is really good! Unfortunately it starts to get very crowded at some point, as they let way too much people in. This absolutely ruins the speakeasy feeling.... But still a must go to place when in Bangkok!

Simply one of the best bars I've been to! I went on a weekday and it was a great blend of busy but not too crowded. Pricey drinks (mid 300's), but the atmosphere and kind people are definitely worth it. Fantastic drinks. I'll definitely be back.

Loved the vibes of this place. The staff were friendly and attentive despite it being so dark here, they must have great eyesight! The cocktails were great, and service time was short despite larger crowds towards the end of the night. Not too sure why they had bad reviews about service. That’s not what I experienced here

this place gets so crowded that they have a door policy like in the west — at peak hours there is a request to buy a bottle for a table or 400 baht entry and get one drink free included . the dj was good and fired the place up more. Good cocktails. It was too late for diner so I cannot comment on that 😃

I’ve been coming to Havana Social for many years!! I used to love coming here however with no live Cuban band it’s not as “hot” as it used to be! They used to have a live Cuban band and now it’s just a DJ playing house music mostly very little Latin music which is disappointing! The cover charge of ฿400 includes a free drink 🍹 but the drinks are way cheaper than that which is good! I have never eaten here but the vibe of this place is quite good 👍🏽 and the concept very cool! I wish they would play more Latin beats 🎧 and get that Cuban prohibition vibes back! Always very crowded but last night was space to dance! Music was meh!!

Beautiful place but disappointed on arrival about table service. Details are not revealed until you arrive. Bottle service is required for 5k bahts for minimum of 5 people per table. If less than minimum is 1200 bahts per person. Booking had been made not knowing this detail and Covid restrictions were not exercised on how many people were allowed in. They did check Covid Immunization cards when you had entered.

The hidden bar behind a vintage telephone booth have been waiting for everyone to discovered, good quality and strong cocktails are recommended. Cuba style decoration and live music are priceless, I was extremely impressed. However, tables are reserved for customers who buy a bottle of alcohol with mixers but you can still hangout on the dance floor with your drinks tho.

My new favorite when it comes to Bangkok. For sure you have to like the latin music but if you do, it’s definitely a match. A bit hidden and away from all the tourist spots and freelancers, this cuban style dance bar, makes some delicious cocktails. Have a crazy wide variety of drinks and can’t be any more authentic when it comes to the interior and music. Just good vibes, great music and drinks. 10/10!

Dropped in for some drinks on a Wednesday evening. The vibe is cool with a DJ spinning Latin music. The drinks are top-notch, but it's a bit quiet and not much happening, a tad on the boring side. Doubt I will go back.

If you are a good dancer and want to have good time in bkk come Havana! But drinks are expensive and on weekends entry fee is 400thb. But there a cheaper bar just outside of the club, you can to outside drink and comeback always.

Havana Social in Bangkok offers a captivating journey back in time to pre-Revolution Cuba. This hidden gem, open from 6 pm to 2 am daily, transports visitors to the enchanting era of 1940s Havana. With dimly lit, vintage decor and retro furnishings, it sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. The cocktail menu is a highlight, featuring expertly crafted classics like Mojitos and signature creations. Cigar aficionados will find delight in their impressive selection. Live music adds to the ambiance with a mix of Latino, Cuban, Salsa, and Reggaeton tunes. Havana Social is a must-visit destination for those seeking a taste of Cuban culture in Bangkok.

This is one of my favorite places around this area. I so love their kind of music. Staffs were not usually friendly or super nice, but that’s ok because I don’t care. I just love this place! They serve wonderful Cubanos sandwich! Totally recommend if you like Latino music :)

Waow! Did I step in to Cuba? Every detail in this bar is well thought of! Great drinks, live music & best dj afterwards, serviceminded staff. There is a cigar room and another bar at second level! Great mix of locals and internationals! Would go back again and again and again!

Great place to have some drinks. It has a lot of personality. You have upstairs specific area to smoke cigars and even you can buy them there, good selection. The music is really good creating great atmosphere for a party. Nice friendly team but they are very busy so takes time to order drinks.

Fabulous hidden bar in Bangkok full of charming characterful and ambience. The cocktails are second to none. Sunday night had salsa lessons!

You have to pay entry and get some tickets for free one free drink. The music start after 10pm which I never have seen at some clubs in Bangkok before. Also at weekend there is only s DJ and no live music which I expected for the Havana Social Club. Also the DJ try to play Latino music but for the entry fee I have to say there are better place to go.

The liveliest place we've been since moving to Bangkok in July. Great music, professional bartenders, and their current pop-up food is excellent. Husband and I tried about 8 drinks between us and loved 7 of them. Make a reservation or go early.

Love the decor a vibe. Bit pricey and menu prices are not all inclusive. Rather, they add a service charge and VAT on top of the already inflated prices. Also, I'm not sure who decided putting the restrooms on the 3rd floor was such a great idea...lol

Found it accidentally and it turned out to be a speak easy bad with very ridiculous good rustic interiors. The run collection is outstanding and the cocktails are pretty decent. The night I went the music was superb and the dance floor and killer.

Awesome place, styled down to the last detail to look like a Cuban bar, excellent cocktails (a little pricey) live bands Fri and sat, good DJ the rest of week. Often people doing tango, secret entrance via phone box

  • 4/5 Swee Y. 1 year ago on Google
The venue is grand and fantastic. The service is top notch. Reserving tables require minimum spending, we don’t mind it. The tables at the ground wasn’t available when we booked, luckily on the night there is a few cancellations. And we were kindly moved to ground floor. The live band is vibrant. Not so much with DJ mix. We will come again for live band night. As they play proper salsa and Latin tune. The ones they used on strictly come dancing. All the classics. The pulled pork and beef pastry is delish! Simple menu but the chef does it well. Later of the night, when the bar get packed the place gone mad. Without any security on the floor, starts getting guests vaping indoor. Vape is banned in Thailand. Had to tell him to stop vaping right next to me. Thank you as he did stop. A few tables (near the dance floor) with liquor bottles have to leave as very quick get taken over by freelancers. The bar is near Nana. The red light district. On reservations and FB event T&C clearly stated dress code. Apparently, It is alright to come in with shorts.
