Unplanned visit during my holiday in Bangkok. There was a wedding when I came, so we waited for a while until the event was completed. Its not that big for a cathedral but I Didn't expect the interior will be this beautiful and very well maintained. Don't forget to check the church shop too near the parking lot entrance. They sell Holy Mary's statue wearing Thailand's traditional outfit, good for unique souvenir.

I visited this beautiful church for English Sunday Mass at 10am (see the image for other mass schedule). The interior has been renovated and it looks amazing. The vibe is similar with the catholic church in Europe (but with air conditioner here). The priest is a native English speaker. There is a small jetty near this church where you can take a boat to go to ICONSIAM nearby but you may need to bargain for the fare there.

Very Beautiful Church. Went there for Palm Sunday mass. Was a very beautiful service. Great parking and seating space. Peaceful location.

The magnificent & beautiful church with a stunning European architectural style, all completed with a baroque style ceiling decorated with motifs. We're lucky to get a chance to pray inside near Virgin Mary statue on weekday in a serene atmosphere. Although we come with no lights inside, but I feel captivated looking at the sloped ceiling and frescos similar to the ones which are usually found in European cathedrals.

very beautiful church.... for inside the church is only open on Saturday and Sunday. On Sundays at 10 o'clock there is a Eucharistic celebration in English

I have been related with this church since I was a student of a school next to it. I would say this is the most beautiful church in Thailand and you shouldn't miss it.

It's really very unfortunate because we came on an ordinary day so we couldn't enter the church to pray, but we were able to pray in front of the church and had time to capture the splendor of this church. but finally at 1 Januari 2023, firstday of the year, we finally had a mass and really2 make me cry, because i really really feel the holiness and how God made me to come to His church. Thank you Father, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holi Spirit 🙏🙏🙏

Come to fill your eyes with this beautiful and intricate Cathedral.. Feels like your out of the country and hearing mass in famous cathedrals in Rome. The surroundings are clean and the people are very welcoming. They have 10am Sunday mass in English, too. If you wish to go to ICONSIAM after, you can use the ferry since a port is just next to this place.

My first time coming to this church for 10 a.m. English Sunday mass. The church is amazingly so pretty!! It's yellow lighting with mosaic window and old architecture is so perfect. It's 2 storey building but the 2nd floor is not used during mass. It has no ceiling fan but has aircond. The mass is good and the priest is non-Thai, so English is his native language. If you're Catholic and visiting Bangkok, you must visit this church.

I went to attend the Mass on Sunday. The Boss was absent, deputies are ok but not great story tellers. The building inside is very attractive and save. Music and choir are great. Staff very well trained and collaborative.

Such a marvelous sacred place. The cathedral was built in the Romanesque style and each corner of the cathedral has its history. Both interior and exterior are breathtaking. Stained glass windows in the cathedral describe the teachings of Jesus from the New Testament. Moreover, the celling is adorned with ornate decorations. People come here to engage in worship peacefully. Some even come to take a picture with the beautiful exterior of the cathedral. The place is surrounded by 3 schools and you will find Robinson Bangrak and Mandarin Oriental Hotel nearby. You can go to Assumption Cathedral by Chao Phraya Express Boat or 5 minutes’ walk from BTS Saphan Taksin. You might find difficulties if you go there by car due to the limited area for parking. There might be crowds of students around the cathedral at 3.30 P.M. in weekdays. I strongly recommend Assumption Cathedral if you want to admire the astonishing architecture and calm your mind with the peaceful environment inside the cathedral. It’s worth visiting!

Beautiful historical cathedral, 2 Popes were here: John Paul II and Francis. Easy parking.

The full cathedral with some biblical stories on the windows and peaceful and come atmosphere. Appreciate wasting it hope to visit it again 🙏

Roman Catholic Assumption Cathedral, sublime building, but not so accessible from MRT station where needs 15 minutes of walking distance

The Church sits next to assumption college. The total area of the church is about 5 football fields. The church exterior looks grand being a cathedral, it is maintained well. Inside the church there are 4 lines of pews, the interior design is done with a lot of gold plated and trimmed objects. A nice church to visit

The church was closed during the day (weekday) but the cleaning ladies let us in to pray and visit shortly. It was much appreciated. The Cathedral itself is stunning and a beautiful gem in the middle of the city!

Went to the english mass at 10am. Lots of tourists and the environment of the church is quite overwhelming due to the artistic design of the church interior. If you stay at Shangri la hotel Bangkok, it just around 1km walk away from the hotel.

I'm Catholic and attended a mass at 10am on Dec 25th which was in English. It was so packed but great experience in Bangkok. Definitely worth to visit if you are traveling.

This is a wonderful church with ancient architecture. I attended a mass in Thailand. This was new experience. The choir sang beautifully. Info for travellers: mass in Sunday in Thailand at 7am, in English at 10am. Ask the taxi or tuk tuk to go to Assumption Church. They all know.

Beautiful Cathedral and peaceful inside however, this was the first Cathedral I have ever prayed in thar had nowhere to light a candle.

Beautiful Church. The confessionals are located just inside the entrance on the left and right. The bulletin says English confessions before the 10 am English Mass. But it's been my experience that sometimes the Priest doesn't show up. So plan accordingly.

Beautiful cathedral. The audio quality was among the best heard for a room of its size. Sunday 10:00am English speaking mass.

A lovely sacred space. Amazing acoustics—-so please be quiet as you are walking through. Beautiful fragrant flowers — especially at the shrine of Mary.

Such a HUGE and BEAUTIFUL SACRED place. We spent our Christmas day here and we loved it.
