Samyan Market

Tourist attraction Market

👍👍 I give a shot at 5 am for dawn vibes, in the morning, they already opened, quite half of them. You can find food, has breakfast at 6 am, only on ground floor, the 1st floor (know as 2nd floor for thai people) is open around 10 am. It's common tradition thai market but the goods&ingredients are high... People often mention market, fresh, floor, good, parking, people, local, find, fruits,

The best and big market for buying Vegetarian food so, it is J festival ( 6-14 Oct). Chinese people in Thailand include my family also join and buy Vegeterian ( J food) to eat. This is update photos that I just went there. The sellers there told me that in Pandemic time that the market closed 9 times so, this present time that no too busy. The best fresh market in Bkk. Reasonable price and cleanliness market. Also, big car park. There are 2 floors here; first floor sell fresh food and the second floor service some food shops.

Normal customers also welcome, the parking area is so comfortable too.

I have patronised Sam Yan marked for almost 50 years. Having seen the market at the original location and moved to the present location, I must say that the market has improved over the years. I believe it will continue to serve the community. There are food supplies that i can not find in supermarket. Price remain competitive.

The clean and well maintained local wet market where you can shop for fresh produce, seafood, veggies, fruits and many grocery items. There is also a large parking space or you can also get here by taking the MRT and exit at Samyan station. Then, take a 10 minutes walk or motorbike taxi to get here. There are some food stalls on the second floor and on the front footpath on the first floor. It’s recommended to come here early before 11am or some items may run out. Items are a bit pricier but great if you want convenience at the fresh market not far from Chulalongkorn university and CBD.

Visit on the weekend before Thai vegetarian festival - busy and more people after the decrease number of COVID around Bangkok. Some traditional vegetarian products are not available this year due to the pandemic.

Price: the food price is very reasonable Recommending reasons: there are food stalls at ground floor and few restaurants at the 2nd floor. The dessert of AimAroi SoyMilk is niceee.

It's a fresh market for vegetables, fruits, poultry and seafood. Not bad. Just as usual, the smell get be quite intolerable. I double-masked. And do wear good non slip shoes because the floor is wet and slippery.

A good place for window shopping, find food, vegetarian and sea food. A Lot of people are from high class. They prefer to support local businesses. The taste of halal food is really amazing. A lot of fresh sea food, vegetables and fruits. The prices are cheaper than shopping malls. I recommend this to everyone. Enjoy your trip ☺️

Market place that sells fresh produce and meat. There's also a long stretch that sells local food as well. Worth a visit when you're in the area.

Sam Yan Market has been renovated and managed the space with good hygiene and ventilation. It was changed wet market to modernize shopping arcade. Here you can find all necessary ingredients and materials for cooking as well as ready-to-eat food for your meal. Its location is in the center of Bangkok business community nearby the Campus of Chulalongkorn University. Surrounding the Market there are plenty of streetfood restaurants that you can also enjoy your stomach with delicious foods after shopping. Moreover the parking lots are also available if you drive to shopping there.

Fresh sweets, kind people,no scam, various kind of foods, you can buy almonds no added sugar and salt. This is the best. Not too big,not too small. Local people use this market. Arrive at 7:40 in the morning is the best.

I guess this market makes sense if you live in Bangkok and need to stock up on fresh food. From a tourist perspective, it was just so so. Not worth a specific trip, in my opinion.

As a foreigner, I definitely got some odd looks for being here. It’s an interesting cultural market to experience, but it’s not a touristic activity. Goods were laid out beautifully, especially the fruits.

Great place for fresh food and vegetables. This is probably the place hi so traditional Thai Chinese people go to get their food. Opens in the early morning, until about 5, but many shops are likely closed after 12. I go here for the fish, very fresh but expect to pay a premium

One of the best market in Bangkok. Clean and has various items available at reasonable price. One of the unique shop is tofu shop in the middle of the market which offers variety of tofu products including the "tofu sheet" for wrapping deep fried foods. This item is not easy to find somewhere else.

The best open-air market for local households. It's clean and it's got almost everything you wish for local cooking ranging from poultry, seafood, beef, veggies, and dried food. Just don't expect to get something like Wagyu A5 or that kind of quality meat. This is mainly for day-to-day consumptions.

Nice market but parking lot always full and difficult to find space. Free for first15 minutes.

  • 4/5 V Jer L. 2 years ago on Google
Clean market with a huge variety or ingredients and fresh produce despite its size. Especially the seafood is quite remarkable. Also, some really good food out there too!
