Always fun to do 🥳 I was in the area almost every night. Lots of energy. If you walk alongside the market, rather than down the middle, people will try to get you into the sex shows and massage parlors. They come after you! They all have laminated pictures 😄 Lots of bargaining.🫢 The prices are high, by $300-$400 BHT. So if you start to walk away then the price drops.⤵️ They show you on a calculator so nobody hears or sees🫣 Clothing items are less expensive right outside on the street!🤑 and the sellers are nicer, but the selection is less. I bought sunglasses 😎 and a Buddha statue 🗿 that I didn't see anywhere else. Some of the sellers actually get angry if you touch and look and don't buy!😠 The sellers are aggressive here 😬

Tried to go to this place by tuk tuk and want to charge us 300 thai bhat! We ends up took a taxi to Indy Market instead due to the night market in Patpong that is selling clothes are all closed. The only thing there is only ping-pong show as per our taxi driver.

Be careful of the ping pong scam bars. They will charge you 1000 to 1500 Bhat for a drink. They will corner you with 3 guys surrounding you until you pay. The police won't do anything. There are a couple of good music bars. There are also a lot of vender stalls to buy knock off products.

Night market is not existing anymore. I went there today and it was all gone, empty streets and no shops. It used to be a lively and fun place to be in a couple years ago.

Cool market with all kinds of stuff. The food is very cheap, and very, very good. Be prepared to haggle, but don't be a mean person. Everyone needs to make a living, it's not all about you getting the best deal of your life.

I came to Bangkok during New Year. I wanted to see Patpong Night Market. I was dropped off by the taxi and asked where the market was. He pointed, and I went. Then I walked, and kept asking where the night market is. Well, there is no night market! At least not what it use to be. There isn’t a bustling outdoor vendor-galore I was expecting. Instead, there are some shops/food/etc that are open, but nothing any different than you would get around your local hotel. Just to be sure I wasn’t missing it, I went into a local Starbucks and asked where specifically the market was. She said “I don’t think it exists because of COVID”. So it pretty much verified I was just walking down a random street of restaurants and occasional vendors. That being said, it’s still decent enough if you want to get out and take a walk. But definitely don’t make this the highlight of your trip until things normalize. HOWEVER, Chinatown is very active: food, shopping, etc. It’s active during day and night.

As of August 2022 there is no patpong night market. It was cancelled due to the spicy cough and has not yet been allowed to reopen. The locals are ready and willing, just waiting on the bureaucracy.

The market is not worth visiting in my opinion. It has definitely reduced in size since the last time I visited many years ago. Yes there the bars with girls along the way, but they dont disturb you if you are with family. Im always passing by this street at night because we stayed in a hotel nearby. The market are selling mostly fake goods, not of good quality.

This is a night market focused on adult stuff, you'll see lots of weed and women in lingerie. Not a good idea to bring your kids here. There are sections with clothes and souvenirs, sections with food and lots of bars around. The food is tasty and cheap. Local sellers and promoters will push you to buy something or visit ping pong shows, so be ready.

(Translated by Google) Large night market that invites you to stroll. We can also recommend a cold drink in one of the many restaurants. "Beware of pickpockets and con artists" (Original) Grosser Nachtmarkt der zum schlendern einlädt. Ein Kühles Getränk in einem der vielen Lokale können wir auch empfehlen. ❗Hier gilt Vorsicht vor Taschendiebe und Trickbetrüger❗

My friend and I was trying to find another market but ended up here instead. Warning: this place is a red light district. The market is encircled by bars and strip clubs. Do not go there especially if you have young children. There are pimps at every corner trying to entice you to use their services. Felt very unsafe. However, there are some bargain items here e.g. the typical night market items like shirts, wallets, caps. Just don't bother coming here if you're not staying nearby. It's better to check out other night markets.

Was expecting flesh on display, but no! Pleasantly surprised, lots of girls on display, fully clothed, but not pushy... Had a beer at a bar in the street, moochEd around the market.. The seediness is there if u want it, but a smile and a no thank you was accepted... Would i go again? Probably not x

Very overrated from my point of view. You pretty much only have stalls selling fake products as well as very few food stalls. Other than that around the market are cannabis stores and very dodgy bars and discos offering with call girls standing out front. Can’t recommend going there.

Kind of confused why there are reviews here within the past few weeks talking about this market and its many stalls. In November 2021 I can tell you for sure there is absolutely nothing happening here. Sad. Entry requirements are still too strict, so I'm sure the businesses are still suffering.

scams around you!! becareful!! good foods. Patpong Night Market, located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, is a vibrant and bustling destination that offers a unique and lively shopping experience. Open in the evenings, the market is famous for its energetic atmosphere, diverse range of goods, and vibrant nightlife. Visitors to Patpong Night Market can expect to find a wide variety of items for sale, including clothing, accessories, electronics, souvenirs, and more. The market is known for its affordable prices, making it a popular choice among budget-conscious travelers. Apart from shopping, the market is also renowned for its entertainment options. Surrounding the market stalls are numerous bars, clubs, and shows, adding to the lively ambiance of the area. Visitors can enjoy live music performances, traditional Thai dance shows, and other forms of entertainment, making it a great spot for those looking to experience Bangkok's vibrant nightlife scene. However, it's important to note that due to its popularity, Patpong Night Market can get incredibly crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. In summary, Patpong Night Market is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking a taste of Bangkok's energetic nightlife and a chance to indulge in some budget-friendly shopping. Patpong Night market is very nearer to the Si Lom metro Station. Just a 4min., Walk gets you there! So colorful, many stalls have been set up by local people offering lot of products ranging from cheap to high!! Starting from Handmade products like purses, t shirts, artifact's, miniatures, wooden gift items, photo frames - they also sell phone covers, small jewellery items like the metal necklaces, electronic gadgets etc.. Overall, the market too consists of GoGo-Bars, Ping Pong shows on either side of the stalls and you can here songs from the bars as well. Everything about the market is pretty fine! Love it.. Note: The prices said by the sellers are very very high, and to your kind concern I sincerely recommend you to "Bargain more(without any shy and hesitation), so you can save more!!". If they say 1000 bhat, you ask from 350 bhat. You'll be amazed that they will give u for atleast 500bhat. We bought a lot of things like this!! Save your money - get amazing products!!

This is a happening and colourful street. But I won’t suggest going there with kids. There is Patong beach at the other end of the street and there are so many eating and shopping options. If you are into party Illusion is a great club. The street can be a bit crowded specifically on weekends. There is lot of parking space outside the street where you can park your bike and walk into the market. Shopping street was good. You can bargain and can get items at a very good piece. There are many amazing food options on the beach side exit of the street. Overall very chill vibe to roam around on your bike.

This night market has been reduced to drabs selling low quality fake products with a handful of sleazy clubs that were touting with minimal effort. Apart from that, the place was surrounded with Cannabis shops and streets lined with call girls which isn’t suitable for families with young children. If not for making our way back to the hotel from King Power Manahakon, we wouldn’t even bother to pass by this place.

Incredible mall on the river. Take the river hop on hop off boats for an easy way to get here. This mall has it all. Lower floors are like a street market with traditional street foods and items for sale. Then as you work your way up all the floors there is traditional mall stores and a large luxury section with high end stores. Near the top are some cool restaurants with patios facing the river and city. They are a great spot to check out day or night. There is so much to see and take in here! Worth the stop!

A usual night market with lots of of touristic things to buy, they sell triple the price it’s better to negotiate before buying stuffs. Mango sticky rice, fruit salad and other food options are available. Many massage places and weed bars are found here. Starbucks and Burger King near to this market is located in authentic Thai styled building. Worth visiting just once.

It's a good place to go to but not a lot of items can be seen here. The Night Market is divided into sections. There's the food – mango sticky rice, fruit juices, fresh fruits, bbqs, etc. There is also a row of bars on the side. For the mango sticky rice, there was one specific stall that they pack mango and rice separately and can be brought in for the airport. The the dry goods section –clothes, jewelries, leather goods (personalized passport covers, bags, wallets), imitation of luxury brands for bags, sunglasses, etc. Marijuana shops can also be found here.

There are many night markets in Bangkok, this is the oldest but now the most corrupt. Sure you can have a good time here if you remain alert. DO NOT GO UPSTAIRS ANYWHERE IN THIS MARKET. There have been many incidents from mild indecent behaviour to charging 10 times the necessary from the tourists. The market does not sell anything exclusive and starts to close around 1 am, the pubs and bars remain open till 3 am and can be quite enjoyable if you have company.

Amazing pad thai and samosa from the stall just opposite of Radio City to the right. Very friendly staff! The atmosphere of the market in general was lively and (for my taste) quite touristy; Sat down to eat next to Radio City and they played really good music!

The market is slowly returning due to the hit it received from COVID. A good amount of clothes vendors and street food that’s decently priced (pad Thai was 60 baht each). Beware that there are a lot of strip clubs and bars on the outskirts of the market.

Patpong Market in Bangkok, though relatively small in size, is a bustling hub that offers a delightful experience. The market stands out for its exceptional street food stalls, where the aromas and flavors truly capture the essence of Thai cuisine. Alongside these culinary delights, the market presents a diverse array of stalls. These stalls are notably known for selling a variety of items, including imitation designer brands such as Calvin Klein and Versace. The eclectic mix of food and shopping makes Patpong Market a unique destination that offers a little bit of everything.

The market has a number of shopping stalls, but we mainly went for the food, which was very good. There's also a seating area near the centre where you can sit and eat and several bars on the street also.

Fun place to walk around on a night adventure in Bangkok. It is mostly on one street. Do not pay asking price for anything. Trying to negotiate a lower price is probably the most fun. There are many vendors and there is a lot of product overlap between them. This where you can find all the cheep trinkets to bring home to your friends. There is a little bit of red light district on this street. You will be asked to come watch a show, you can just say no and keep walking. The next two streets over are all red light district stuff. So veer off the main strip at your own discretion.

Good location, for street shopping ,very close to sky train metro station, i would suggest first go and walk through all the Street then next round do the shopping. For prices negotiate with 40% of the price which shopkeeper tells. All the best 👍

Best place for shopping bags, first copies, others...advised to bargain for your fondest choices for good discounts.. good for last min shopping. Mostly expensive as it's procured from the Pratunam market nearby!! 🤗

  • 4/5 Rahel T. 4 years ago on Google
A great place to shop, they are usually open till 12 midnight but it's better to go a couple of hours early to go through the area and see all the shops. Barging is a must as most of the vendors will sell you the items close to half of the first price they call. There are also some nice places for night life and street food right next to the market which makes it great to take a rest at one of the bars after a shopping season.

This is an absolute tourist trap. There were tons of Americans, Brits and Australians having a blast so it may be your bag but I found every single other thing I did in Bangkok to be more enjoyable. There are a lot of scams on the street so watch out. It may be fun to go see and grab a drink or buy a souvenir, but just know that it caters to western tourists and is a pretty gross place.

Mango and sticky rice was the best choice IMHO. All kinds of stuff for sale. Be sure to haggle and you'll get a much better price. The show hawkers will aggressively escort you back to whatever bar that they are working for. They will show you a card with all the available 'shows'. Lots of massage places nearby too. I had a two hour Thai massage with herbal ball... 1000ThB - so cost about 30USD and that included 20% tip

They send in the Heavies just in case you dispute the price. Better to pay rather than wind up in a dumpster. There aren't many lively night markets in Bangkok. You will not be bored just by looking. But the price of the goods is very high. The price down from that amount depends on your negotiation.

This is a very lively place. You can find several things (street foods, clothing and beauty products)

First !! Sorry for ugly pics 😓 I didn’t like the place 🥵 but it might be good for people who wants pubs/clubs with strip teasing either by girls or by boys or even it can be lady/old mens The shopping area it’s just outside of doors of all these clubs/pubs You have to bargain alot 😱but it’s not right place to get good price because the price already so highly marked up ⬆️ Still if you coming as tourist ?? You should see this place once for experience 🤔

Right now in October 2022 it doesn't operate . Probably better of low tourist season but actually anyway no need to come over here because you have better places in Pratunam to do shopping

Clean and hygienic food venues along the street. Fair prices and quality with lots of variety

I am not sure why people are saying the market is no longer here. We went and there were several stalls set up and more opening as the night went on…maybe they came too early as it only starts opening up around 6:00 pm. The bars start a little later but it does feel a bit tamer than it used to…not necessarily a bad thing. The bar/restaurant owners approached but were not ruse or forceful like we have seen in the past. The market venders are always open to negotiation and were pleasant when they received a “no”

A lot of products. Cheap clothes, souvenirs, cosmetics, watches. Nice place where to spend a whole day.

This is a pretty small night market with not too many vendors or street food. It's only worth a look if in area and it is quite a lively area.

Patpong used to be one of the "must visit" places in Bangkok, because of it's bars and clubs, and the stalls selling imitation branded items. The bars and girls are still there, but we're more interested in shopping:). Worth a visit if you stay nearby, otherwise there are many other night markets worth visiting in Bangkok.

Definitely a place for tourists. Pretty short night market. Nice food and cheap stores to shop.

Definitely come here on the weekends. Lots of good souvenirs for friends and family. Make sure to try to negotiate on the prices but be respectful and don't low ball them. Lots of other adult fun and dance locations within the area. Be safe.

Very cool place if you wanna experience a bit of the other side of Bangkok. Short narrow street with lots of booths with counterfeit products and street food, loud music and several bars.

  • 4/5 Bangkok S. 5 months ago on Google
Not for the faint of heart. Don't bring your kids to this market as it's smack in the middle of a redlight district.

  • 5/5 Bernard M. 5 months ago on Google
Colourful, vibrant with a hint of naughtiness. This is of course a bit of a tourist trap but if you enter the spirit of tough negotiations you can get a fairly reasonably priced fake branded product and possibly watch one of the more adult oriented entertainment shows Since reopening after covid there’s an area to sit down for food or a very cheap beer. There’s a partly open air live music venue & bar for a more standard experience and an Irish pub at the far end. Enjoyable little edgy experience in Bangkok that’s safe .
