I loved my visit here and learned so much about this period of history. I hadn't realised how strong his connection was with my home country "England". Besides being educated at Eton School he also underwent military train in the UK and went into exhile here after the political turmoil culminating in an almost bloodless coupe in 1932. He spent the last years of his life at Compton House in Surrey. The museum is all about King Rama VII from his childhood years through to becoming the last absolute monarch of Thailand and his exhile years in England. There is a section of the museum all about his trip to Canada and the USA in 1931. Plenty of photographs in this museum illustrating his relatively short but full life from birth in 1893 to his death in 1941. The place is free to visit.

Free museum! It's dedicated to the life of Rama VII and his wife, Queen Rambai Barni. They have memorabilias of the past royals. The staff are very nice too!

A humble museum, mostly pictures and the stories behind it. Dimly lit, but you’ll learn a lot about king Rama 7 and his legacy. A little dated, but I think it’s worth spending time at. Queen SiriKit gallery is across the road and wat saket is just right behind it.

A quiet museum at the corner of a busy intersection going to Wat Saket, the Golden Mount. It's FREE, and the AC is cold. The building was built in 1906 and used to be a foreign-owned department store, but they rented the property. It has 3 floors and is packed with info and relics from Rama 7 reign. You can do a quick walk through or spend some hours reading the info. They have a movie about that era at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, but I missed it. The building is worth going in to see if you like old construction and the historical displays are nice. Antique cameras on the first floor, a little theater on the 2nd floor, and the 3rd floor has the king's uniforms and coins and bills. They have lots more. Check out their Facebook page. Open Tuesday-Sunday 9 am-4 pm.

Was very interesting. We spent more than 2 hours and it wasnt enough! If you want to see, read everything it takes more time. In the museum the story of king and his queen is presented. Many stories about both of their lifes are written, some real things are exhibited. Additionaly, there is information about worlds events that took place at the time and they are linked to the Thailands history. Overall, highly recommend to visit and spend there not less than 3 hours.

It is located right in front of the water boat stop. While waiting for the boat, explore the history and dynasties of Thailand in this cool museum. It consists of 3 floors and you can spend about 30 minutes.

Offers a glimpse into thai mornachy history. Informative labels with english translation. One of the better museums that explains Thailand’s history. Best of all, it’s free. Spent hours here going through the various levels. The security guard was very welcoming. No docents here and it’s very self-guided. Toilets were clean. All bags have to be placed into the lockers regardless of size (i had a small bag with me). Would recommend a visit.

Wow. Huge museum that goes into very specific detail of his life. If you were to read all the signs, it could take up to 3hours to tour the whole museum! Free admission, so fantastic value :)

If you like history, do not miss this. Excellent curation and presentation (best I've seen so far in Thailand) entry is free and expect to take ~2-4 hours. Very quiet as there's very few people.

Great museum. Learnt the details of Thai history during political change. The foreign affairs advisor at the time was Dr. Francis B. Sayre, Harvard Law Professor, son in law of President Woodrow Wilson, who later on became Deputy secretary of state.

The King Prajadhipok Museum in Bangkok offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of Thailand and the life of King Prajadhipok. Entry to the museum is free of charge and mind you the AC inside is working in full blast so make sure your dressed appropriate 😉 Visitors can explore various exhibits that showcase the reign of King Prajadhipok, the last absolute monarch of Thailand. From personal artifacts and photographs to multimedia presentations, the museum paints a vivid picture of the era and the challenges faced by the king during his reign. Overall, the King Prajadhipok Museum is a worthwhile visit for history enthusiasts and those curious about Thailand's political evolution. Its well-curated exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and serene ambiance create an enriching experience that sheds light on an important period in Thai history

The King Prajadhilok Museum is an older-style museum with lots of artifacts, pictures of the royal family, and copies of newspaper articles. It's worth stopping by to walk through, however I recommend going next door to the Democracy Learning Center (ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ประชาธิปไตย) which is much more interactive and fun for the whole family. The King Prajadhilok Museum is free and there are cubbies to store your belongings (also free) at the entrance. We spent about 15 minutes going through its multiple levels, while we spent about 1 hour at the Learning Center.

Very nice museum with extensive history on the monarchy in the early 1900s. It also covers the change in government from a monarchy to a constitutional monarchy. The third floor looks as though it has been renovated in the last few years and there are many screens with information. Displays have both Thai and English. The museum is free for all and worth a visit.

Sadly, I can't go inside to discover this museum because the day that I came on 31st December. So, I was trying to enjoy trip in the front of building with my friends. I do like the exterior design looks like European style.

Excellent museum that provides a fascinating look into Thailand’s history during a turbulent era in global affairs. The story is told through the life and personality of one young and privileged man as well as his wife and queen. Yet the museum manages to maintain a personal perspective and convey this story’s bittersweet and very touching ending.

Cool museum! It's 3 stories high, the 2nd floor is dedicated to the king's personal life and the 3rd floor is about the kingdom. There is a small theater on the 2nd floor, but I don't think they play any films there, at least not when I went.

Situated adjacent to Wat Saket (the Golden Mount), the King Prajadhipok Museum is a convenient stop if you're in the area. Free of charge, it provides insights into the Thai monarchy through portraits, pictures, and descriptions, including a display of the king's outfits. Although the museum only took us 30 minutes to walk through, it offered an interesting perspective. Overall, a quick and informative detour if you find yourself near Wat Saket.
