I absolutely loved this museum. I organized a university club field trip to the museum and our guide was wonderful at introducing and explaining to us the history of the region, of ASEAN, and cultural aspects of each of the 10 member states. The interactive exhibitions for national costumes and cuisine were really interesting to play with. The museum has a multilingual display so tourists are welcome to visit too. The museum is located on the second floor of the Contemporary Art Center near the democracy monument so it's also a great start to a historical walking tour on Rattanakosin island.

❤❤❤❤❤The city of contradictions, Bangkok likes to astonish its visitors with its infinite energy and candid balancing of the spiritual and the wild. During the day, you’ll be awestruck by the city’s opulent temples and palaces--the Grand Palace, Wat Po temple, and Wat Arun temple are must-sees for all visitors. At night, however, you’ll be thrust into a nightlife that will blow your mind. From the famous Khao San Road and its rowdy bars and clubs, to the notorious red light districts packed with half-naked dancers and go-go bars, Bangkok simply does not hold back. But Bangkok is so much more than temples and partying! The city is a food-lover’s paradise; you’ll be able to indulge in the world’s best-street food and enjoy a restaurant scene where you can dine like royalty for cents on the dollar. And when you’re not eating (although we won’t blame you if you’re always eating), Bangkok’s famous markets will be a sight to behold; visit the famed Damnoen Saduak floating market, the peculiar and awesome Maeklong Railway Market, or one of the city’s gigantic night markets where you can buy pretty much anything for cheap. For those looking to relax, take a stroll through Lumpini Park (Bangkok’s version of Central Park) or get pampered at one of the city’s luxurious spas. Bangkok might hit you hard at first, but you’ll quickly be captivated by all it has to offer. ❤

Small but nice exhibition about ASEAN countries. Admission is free and you should start the tour on the third floor if possible. There you can find out a lot about the association of the ASEAN states, their origins and culture, largely through multimedia. If you're nearby it's definitely worth a visit.

Cute museum. Not a huge number of exhibits but free and some nice contemporary sculptures. ASEAN exhibit is informative. Worth dropping by if you’re walking through the area.

Was absolutely brilliant. Empty when we went, free to enter. Clearly the recent renovation has paid off as the interactive areas upstairs are stunning! Staff also very friendly.

A cute nice place where you can learn something about ASEAN countries, their history and culture. The place is full of interesting interactions and my kids just love them! Also very close to the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall and can pack these two into itin for a hot afternoon in Bangkok.

I discovered this beautiful museum on accident in 2015. It's still one of my favorite finds in Bangkok during my trip. It has a beautiful rotation of national artists as well as a ton of historic information and installations. Highly recommend if you're in search of some peace beyond the raucous of Khaosan Road!

Such a nice concept of exploring all ASEAN cultures in one space. The exhibition is small and some parts not on display. Nice library where you can chill and get some inspiring rest. Personally I wouldn't travel for it but if you are in the area then go for it!

Using mixed media technology to help make it interesting In addition, rotating exhibitions are always interesting, most worthwhile.
