Unfortunately I think the service and hospitality of this hotel has seen better times. It used to be my go-to whenever I am in Bangkok but my recent experience with the quality of service has left me disappointed. I had to request for the bill halfway through the evening as my order took forever and as soon as I asked for the bill, they've immediately made the drinks for me and sent me the drinks with the bill - when I clearly mentioned to dismiss the order as we've been waiting for far too long ( more than 30 mins I'm sure ) and the rooftop bar had less than 6 people on that evening. The rooftop bar definitely has a great view of the city skyline and the park, maybe it's not their best day but i won't be in a rush to return again for sure.

Not the usual expensive hotel. It has an edgy atmosphere… some may like a more traditional style… but if you’d like sth unusual this one is great. Rooms are really spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, I could have jot wished for anything better. Nice pool and good gym. I’d come back and recommend it!

Hi this is about specifically the pool party. It is 800 baht with one drink included. Starts from 1pm to 9pm. Overall music is good they had two "stages" Nice views. But for the admission price it was heavily overpriced. Not even allowed to bring your own bottle of water. There were not many places to sit at poolside, only if you would buy an upgrade. (The upgraded part was where most seats were) I wasn't informed about this... so when I tried to sit and was not allowed I felt scammed by the hotel. If you want a locker you have to pay an additional 200 baht. Service was really friendly. Again this rating is purely for the admission price and for the big lack of seats on the poolside. I do not recommend coming here under the current pricing system, ask them everything before you pay.

I stayed here at the beginning of my trip, and right before going back home. I must admit that it was the best experience in Bangkok. They have a convenient parking space, they offer the highest level of care and attention. Rooms are spacious, clean, and have a nice smell (which may become a serious problem in other hotels). Room service menu is extensive and dishes are incredibly tasty. Thank you for everything you do, and I can't wait to stay with you again! Additionally, I wanted to thank a receptionist, who checked me in on December 14. I had a terrible experience in another hotel, and he was so welcoming that it really made my day. Unfortunately, I didn't ask his name.

Our stay was like a dream. The SO is like an oasis of luxury and calm in the middle of the bustling Bangkok. We made good use of the gym, pool, and beauty spa. If you can swing it, spring for a club room as the services are excellent, not to mention the breakfast, high tea and happy hour. Can't wait to go back!

**SO/ Bangkok Hotel Review** Nestled in the heart of the city, SO/ Bangkok offers vistas that are nothing short of a painter's dream. From the lobby to the rooftop, the panoramic views promise a visual delight, transporting visitors to a realm where urban beauty meets the horizon. The heartbeat of this hotel is its staff. Greeting with genuine warmth, they embody the very essence of Thai hospitality. Every query, every request, is met with a smile and a keen desire to help, making you feel not just like a guest, but like a dear friend visiting from afar. However, beneath its charming facade and those intoxicating views, SO/ Bangkok has a few wrinkles that can't be ignored. The age of the hotel shows through in the outdated room designs. Calcified faucets, a persistent and unwelcome odor in the corridors, leaking air conditioners, and unstable sockets are not just minor inconveniences; they speak of a once-glorious establishment that's lost its sheen. The devil is in the details, and sadly, it's evident that these details have been overlooked. While SO/ Bangkok has its heart in the right place, with its warm employees and breathtaking views, its body, the very infrastructure of the hotel, needs a touch of rejuvenation. I hope that this iconic place finds its way back to the top, where it truly belongs.

Love the design of the hotel and it shows in details. I’m impressed by the breakfast the view from breakfast restaurant. Nice swimming pool overlooking the park. The room just needs a bit of maintenance. Close to MRT station and Silom area. During my stay, the hotel run a pool party which is fine and of course they will have to close the pool for the party from 1 pm until 9 pm. It run with loud music through the day. It won’t be a good choice if you are looking for somewhere just quiet to chill and we should have been informed what to expect when we check in but we are not given info that loud music could be heard from the room.

We loved this hotel. It’s great fun, and the staff are delightful, professional and kind. The facilities are first rate, including a lovely pool with views of the park. The breakfast is superb. The location was convenient and well connected. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great city and Lumpini park views. Good location near public transport, good food and Lumpini park is across the street. Great value for quality of hotel. Rooms are nice but showing a bit of age. Rooftop bar same, nice but showing a bit of age. Having to take two separate elevators to reach room is annoying. Easy to get taxi downstairs but traffic is really bad in this area. Overall really good hotel at fair price!

Quite fantastic 5 star hotel ! Really satisfied with the staff and also the property design, they have 4 kind of themes for the hotel rooms, fire water wood and earth, so it divide the floors from low to top floor, each theme is around 4 to 5 floor, I was placed on earth theme and really love it, got upgraded to suite because of my Accor membership, really love it, very big room and everything worked well. Also I enjoyed the club lounge services and food, and also the restaurant, have a lot variety food and everything was delicious. Definitely will come back.

Top notch hotel in Bangkok. Both service and rooms are incredible, and the pool is amazing. Even if the hotel is full, you do not feel like that. Everything goes smoothly and gently. The beds are really comfy, and the rooms are spacious enough to have space in the room.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The availability of WiFi, TV with mobile casting, and the scenic view of Lumpini Park from my room made my experience even more delightful. The rooftop bar created a cozy ambiance at night, and the diverse breakfast options catered to various tastes at Red One were a treat. The 10th-storey pool with a panoramic view of the city and the modern gym were good for fitness enthusiasts. KOF cafe offered a charming boutique experience with a variety of fresh beverages, and ChocoLab was a sweet haven for chocolate lovers, both for dining in and taking home. Overall, a fantastic stay with a perfect blend of comfort, views, amenities and culdinary delights!

This is really beautiful hotel to stay. They have divided their floors into different elements like wood, water, earth and all interior accordingly. My personal favourite is earth. The staff is really nice and helpful. You will have beautiful view from your room. Also the pool side is nice. Only breakfast is issue if you are vegetarian there are limited options.

Hotel is nice, but…. 1. The lighting in the lift and rooms are dark. Had a hard time looking at the lift buttons to see where it leads to. 2. The hotel breakfast has a policy of “no bathrobes and sandals”. Yes but even the hotel sandals are not allowed. Its the 1st hotel i ever came across that had such a policy. I can understand such policy when its applied to the hotel restaurants, but not for breakfast time. 3. Location is not very good, although its near mrt station. The road in front of the hotel is jammed everyday except on sundays. Give yourself some time allowance travelling out from the hotel. The hotel is fine overall. But with so many other hotels in bangkok, i have to say that i wont be considering this hotel again.

Amazing luxury experience in Bangkok. The staff took very good care of us, the amenities were excellent, it's in a good location. The view was also spectacular.

My go to hotel in Bangkok. The staff are amazing. Walking distance to most things including rail. The club in the hotel is starting to look a little tired and could do with a bit of an upgrade. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. I would stay again.

Rooms are a bit of a letdown. I personally don't like the metal theme which is all white. My colleague had a cockroach 🪳 in her washroom 😬. View to the park however is be great. Breakfast spread is good.

Their breakfast buffet is THE BEST! Incredible varieties of international cuisines for tourists around the world, also many options of local Thai cuisines. My favorite is the smoothies, there are 3 different ones to choose. Their coffee is also amazing. The breakfast buffet along deserves a 5-star review. But this 3-star review is an overall rating, including the following. Other than the breakfast buffet, we were somehow disappointed, mainly due to the checkin situation. We arrived around 4 pm but were told the room wasn’t ready due to the housekeeping issue. The room is supposed to be ready by 3 pm, though. We had a fine dining reservation at 6:30 pm; due to the heavy traffic, we must leave at 5:50 pm to be on time, and we also needed some time to change. We informed the hotel of this arrangement and they promised the room can be ready by 5 pm. However, when we checked with the front desk at 5:05 pm (no, the hotel didn’t come to tell us until we asked), we were told the room can’t be ready until 5:30 pm, which would be too late for us to get ready for the dinner. We don’t like being rushed so I asked them to give us any room for changing. They sent us to the changing room next to their infinity pool. The changing room is very dirty with wet floor all over which isn’t an ideal place to change and do makeup. But I had no choice. Regardless, the hotel didn’t offer us any compensation for the late check-in and inconvenience we suffered that’s completely due to their own issues. We spoke to a random guest in the elevator, asking how long he’s been waiting for the room, “longer than I expected”, he said it with disappointment as well. It shouldn’t be the service provided at an allegedly 5-star hotel. Another annoying thing is their light switch. It isn’t labeled at all, and we tried every single switch just to try to turn off the bathroom light before going to sleep lol. The lighting in the bathroom isn’t ideal for doing makeup, either. Also, no hair conditioner is provided. Location is ideal, right next to Lumphini Park, the walk to the MRT station Lumphini stop is about 2-3 minutes.

Dear, Esther,Fern,Bennie, kate,Fun Thank you for taking care of me from welcome to careful consideration. As soon as I arrived, I asked you to make a reservation related to various schedules, but thank you for helping me with the best service^^ I came with my boyfriend in advance to celebrate my birthday, and I think it will be a great memory.

Interesting 5 themed hotel, but the room is obviously outdated, a renovation is needed. Service was average nothing too impressive. Interesting thing, I had one friend joined me in the lounge for happy hour drink, they charged me extra money for bringing a guest. First time to encounter this kind of policy.

There were unexplained delays in the check-in process. When booking the room, the hotel informed that the check-in time is 3pm, which in itself is already a rather late time for check-in. We arrived at 3pm, submitted our passports and paid the deposit, and only after that the receptionist informed us that our preferred room will only be ready at 5pm! Our second room option at 4pm. What is the purpose of having designated check-in/out times in a hotel (even late ones), when those are not being adhered to? The only flimsy explanation we were given is that the previous guests haven't left yet. Can't a 5**** hotel ensure a timely departure of guests and manage the room bookings? Also, why were we informed about the delays in the check-in only AFTER we made the payment and gave the deposit and passports? Shouldn't we have been informed about it prior, so we are aware and have the option of going to another hotel? After an hour of waiting, we were allowed to the room. No compensation (not even a coffee/juice) or apologies for the inconvenience were given. Once in the room, we were waiting for the luggage delivery. After 30min it still hasn't arrived. So we personally went back down to the reception to get our bags, and found the bellboy casually scrolling on his phone, with a heap of undelivered bags on the trolley in front of him. What's the purpose of taking our luggage for delivery, if it's not being delivered, and we have to go back down to collect it? It's simpler to just allow guests to take the luggage with them straight away. The breakfast, although the food was great, the staff was very slow - even at 6am and with less than 5 guests in the restaurant, it took more than 20min and 3 reminders to the staff for the coffee to be delivered. Otherwise, the rooms are very decent, the breakfast food is excellent. The views from the rooms, the swimming pool and the rooftop bar are amazing, especially those facing the Lumphini Park.

This was our 5th stay, and certainly not the last: I cannot praise the executive lounge staff enough (Khun Noom leads a wonderful team, wonderfully!) and the crew at the Red Oven, especially at breakfast, and Khun Kie for the other times. The Water suites are our favourites, each is so different, and yet each is super comfortable and classy. The proximity to the MRT can't be beat; Lumphini Park is a great place for a stroll or bicycle ride; and the spa experience is also wonderful. We have already booked again for December and cannot wait to return to our 'home away from home' in Bangkok.

Stayed here in mid Mar 2022. The view overlooking Lumpini Park is certainly unbeatable. However, service of some staff can be improved and room could use some maintenance or upgrade. What ruined our stay was the noise from the room next door (group of friends partying) that went on during the wee hours and kept us from being able to sleep peacefully. The staff wasn’t able to manage the situation or did he seem to take the issues seriously.

Should have been five star if the service and maintenance were better. The park view is fantastic; however, the rooms are a little bit dated. Some furnitures need replacement. There’s several stain in the bathroom and walls. The hallway is a bit too dark. The rooftop bar is noisy every night so I recommend avoiding the high floor rooms.

SOSHI: I bought the Hungry Hub premium menu and all items on that menu were very good and are of premium quality/portion. Their usual premium menu items are also good. The staff were very courteous, knowlegible and were with service mind (except for one younger one who need training). It was my 3rd visit and will definitely return again, especially if the Hungry Hub menu becomes an addition to the normal menu.

We stayed here during Xmas 2020. There was plenty of attention to detail regarding Covid. Hotel room was fab - we had the Water element room with views of the park. The rooms could do with being updated, some small noticeable errors like scuffs on the walls, water stains etc. However we had a fantastic time. Also the Xmas day brunch was AMAZING!

I spent a night celebrating the New Year party at the hotel. The metal room is spotless and comfy. Services are fantastic regardless of the number of guests during our stay. Everything went very well during the day, but it suddenly changes when we decided to go for a New Year at the rooftop bar. The experience was the worst party I ever went to any hotel rooftop bar. It made us and friends feel unsecured about the place due to outside guests coming in for the party, and the staff is unable to control the situation. From broken glasses and people lying down on the walkway and blocking the elevator door, not to mention dozen people packed in the elevator without covid safety regulation.

Everything good! Only food service was not good as expected. We were at swimming pool and would like to order food, the staff said that we need to wait 30-40mins for food delivering due to they have to serve the wedding event first. Also next day we would like to order food, the same answer was we need to wait as they have to serve big event first. Not sure if they have only one kitchen for every outlets in the hotel. Breakfast was good, but small space. As we need to wait for available seats 30mins.

Excellent and very helpful staff. The location right next to Lumphini park is a boon as the park is a great place for walkers/joggers. Only issue is the room lighting was very poor. You can't see anything in the room after sunset.

Great 6 night stay for family of 4 at the SO/ Bangkok in early October. All staff were very friendly, helpful and service was amazing overall. Executive club lounge was v well stocked with plenty of choices for the complimentary evening drinks. Snacks in the lounge were all lovely. We had all our breakfasts in the lounge with a la carte and buffet options. Tried the Spa which had a great ambiance and I enjoyed a very relaxing massage. We will certainly return when we head back to this beautiful city again in the future.

It is a great Hotel. Pool is Huge (for Bangkok) and a lot of Sun (if you get the sun beds in the front). Gym is fine with a couple of machines, cardio and free weights. Breakfast is top 5 all time, probably top 3. Rooms are clean and big. Staff is fantastic. It is 7-8 minutes walking to the BTS, so if you have small kids or problems walking the location is not ideal (a lot of traffic jams during peak hours).

The room layout look weird. The basin design akward and leaking water. But minibar food and drinks are free. The breakfast is good. They have fresh coconut and ice cream on breakfast

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you won't regret it. What a fantastic way to begin the new year. My spouse and I had a wonderful time at the SO Hotel. Their staff are highly attentive, helpful, and well-trained, which I greatly value and appreciate. Our roomy suite came with a massive and impressive bathroom. The lounge on the 25th floor is a true gem. Overall, a wonderful stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was absolutely amazing. It’s pure luxury and the customer service is out of this world. The staff dresses, talks, acts and behaves impeccably. Doesn’t matter who you turn for what, every staff were above and beyond helpful whilst still maintaining a big smile and world famous Thai hospitality. We even lost something in the room and they were exceptional their dealing with us to find the lost item and return to us safely. I already miss staying at this hotel and look forward to my next visit.

I would like to thank SO team who supported us during our stay. My friend and I were happy with everything at SO. We love breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The room is amazing with a beautiful park view. I don't have any complaints about my stay. I will be back for more nights at SO. Thanks again SO team. You did make my stay wonderful.

Excellent hotel. Our room was not ready while checking in so we had to wait about 45 minutes in the lobby however, the staff made us comfortable and offered us a drink and food for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. No longer need an antigen test for pool bar however, do need one for the Skybar. Excellent, attentive and friendly reception staff. Expensive stay but, worth every penny.

One place that exudes art, bestows luxury and comfort, cooks up some haute cuisine in its restaurant , stores an array of Vintage wine to dazzle your taste bud, houses its own Belgian Chocolate lab, provides theme room in 3 choice elements of Water Metal or Earth, — it’s got to be the SO Bangkok. Special mentions goes to the staff at the VIP Lounge and the Ladies working restaurant who are all Fantastically friendly and sweet. The Bangkok Hotel makes your stay feels SO good never felt SO right.
