SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE EXPERIENCE! The hotel is a five-star establishment, however the air conditioning didn't function and the rooms lacked several essential amenities. I only spent one night here with my family in a room that could accommodate four people. We went down for breakfast at 8 am because check-out is at 12 pm the following morning. Our luggage disappeared when we returned to the room to check out about 9.30 a.m., and the cleaning staff were cleaning the room even though we hadn't checked out yet. I went to the reception to talk with the staff and she told me to wait as our luggage would come down with us but nothing came. After 15’ waiting I asked her again where is our suitcases and she said our luggage now are in the room. My dad went upstairs to check on the bags and this time they were there, but they had caused the room to become disorganized once more, as if no one had touched them. It appeared that they cleaned the incorrect room and made up the rest to hide their mistake. When I complained to a different receptionist at the end, all we got was an apology and no further explanation for what had happened. We left after that and went to a much better price and facility hotel near by. Never come back again !

Very disappointing service and state of rooms - this is no where near a 5 star hotel. I booked a luxury room and got to the hotel at 9 AM after a 5 hour flight. I was travelling with 2 kids and 2 adults. I was given a room initially with 1 bed which the check in counter said they "think" would fit 4 people and further told me that if I take this room now I cannot get the other luxury room with 2 twin beds when it becomes available. When we got to the room we found that the bed could only fit 2 people! After multiple chats with the manager we were able to get the other room with 2 twin beds else some of us would have had to sleep on the floor. The luxury room with 2 beds is anything but luxurious. With 1970's carpets, battered side walls and the only thing upgraded being the washroom, this is no where near a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was very basic and disappointing too. Please dont call yourself a 5 star hotel. Invest more in your rooms vs. just giving the impression of luxury by having a fancy hotel lobby.

Location wise this is one of the perfect Hotels. The major sight seeing options are near to this hotel. This also has a very good Indian restaurant near by. Connected by metro as well. Just outside the hotel, you'll see roadside shops where you can buy things at reasonable prices. Rooms were spacious. Try to get a higher floor to get a good night view of the City. Their staff is not very cordial, which is the only thing I didn't like.

An old 5 star hotel :) but the rooms are spacious clean big bed comfy, we got a room in the main tower, with view to other buildings in building process. 17th floor, cannot hear the road noise only very slightly but that is not bothering. They have a nice pool area. As it was COVID we got an amazing price pratunam is a good area close to malls and with a Quick taxi ride you can get anywhere. Staff is helpful. Looking forward going back to Thailand :).

Was here 2 nights. The room was for 3 people, it was insanely huge, I think there you can dance, run and whatever you want, there is so much space. Cozy room. There was a shower and bath. There were a lot of amenities (toothbrushes, floss, razor, comb, etc.) Breakfast was delicious, BUT! we got poisoned and because of this we spent the whole day in the room, but everything was very tasty. In the lobby you can leave your things for free and pour yourself either water or a blueberry drink. Worthy of your money!

I booked Berkeley Hotel Pratu Nam for my Test & Go package as they offered it the same price as other 3 and 4 star hotels. The process at the airport was easy, they had someone from the hotel guiding me into the taxi to the hotel. Once at the hotel, I had to stay in the room until someone swabbed me for the test. The rooms and the hotel is rather old to be honest but it still looks fairly good. My outer window was extremely dirty and almost had no view because of that. The quarantine food really disappointed me. Portions are extremely small and the quality of the food very poor. I would expect way more of such hotels.

So far no major issues. For the current very affordable price you are getting a 3 star hotel room in a de facto 4 star max hotel. Admittedly it have all the 5 star services and premises but it is rather old hotel and it shows everywhere. Pros - Pretty good service overall, apparently they are picking up from the Covid hybernation - Pool and surrounding area is ok, however for a hotel of this size it definitely could be bigger - Good location, a short walking distance to CentralWorld and further Siam, or to the near by Pratunam canal boat pier Cons - Rooms in the main tower have seen the better days. For instance in the first room AC temperature control didn't work and it only could be kept either fully on or off. Luckily got upgraded the next day to "executive room" which had second AC unit installed. However, the main AC temperature control wasn't working there either. - Soundproofing is not great from the hallway when guests are slamming their room doors, especially in the mornings because nothing stopping it to happen and why not - Someone had the bright idea to play loud music in the hallway in the mornings which can be heard clearly in the room

A huge hotel in Pratunam area. This hotel is usually busy but because of COVID-19, the hotel has to scale down a lot services. Nonetheless, the room is still kept tidy and clean. Services are good. Food is excellent. Its location is very convenient to access to many places in downtown Bangkok. Even though the nearest BTS is a bit far away but the walkway help easing the walk. Convenient stores and food stands are plenty nearby.

I gave 3 star for good cleanliness of the room but rate room down as phone, TV N air-conditioning is not working. Informed front desk 3 times over two days N no action done. We requested queen or king size beds N non-smoking floor but was told it was not available only on check-in. A request to spray the rooms with room deodorants, not done. My email N tel nbr provided upon booking. No bottled water provided on second day. I am certainly feeling very letdown. I am back at this hotel after a week. Waiting for over an hour for keys to our rooms. If not for my friend's request, I would not have book this hotel again. Super letdown.

Location was great and near many eating places and massage palours. There's a 7-eleven just next to the hotel which made it convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room would have been perfect if not for (a) the shower temperature which was impossible to control, and (b) the basin tap where there was no hot water. Otherwise, the room was kept clean.

Rooms are large. But the hotel is very dated. You can feel the age in the room details. Its immediate surroundings are not so nice, but it is less than 10 mins walk to the nice malls. Overall, the price to qualify ratio is not very high. I feel it's a 3-star quality hotel, priced as a 4-star hotel, and called itself a 5-star.

The quarantine stay (we arrived within Test&Go program) was lovely for the entire period of transfer and stay. We have been picked up by a polite lady in the airport. The transfer that drove us to the hotel was a business-class car with water available. The checkin was easy. We got 3 meals, each had 4 options to chose from. While we missed lunch time upon checkin, we were still offered food - they saved some for us. The room was large and beautiful. Views stunning. The shower was leaking though. So much water got outside of it that I slipped and got a large bruise. We paid for the buffet breakfast, and it was worth every penny! Delicious. Checked upon fitness area, but it consisted of only 2 benches and some dumbells. The pool though was ling, warm and clean.

Beautiful, spacious, clean and friendly service. The location is superb and breakfast is amazing, and love the fact that the fashion mall is connected to the hotel. The night life is right outside your door and the other fashion malls are within walking distance. If you have kids McDonald which is not like your America burger and KFC and Starbucks is connected to your hotel. So is 7/11. Like how perfect can it be. The pool is perfect and so is the bar area. I would recommend staying at the main tower as its quick access in and out to your room. If you stay at the other tower you would have to take the elevator the walk through a path to the other side. We stayed at both side after our trip back. It’s not bad but would prefer the main tower.

Not sure how this classifies as 5 stars, 3 stars is more accurate. Negative experience doing my test and go here. Don’t be fooled by the pictures

Wow wow I must say this is one of good hotels in Bangkok with reasonable price. It is connected with Palladium Mall and within short walking distance to Central World, Big C supermarket and Platinum. The room is specious and quiet.πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘β™₯️ This hotel is reasonable compare to other branded hotels nearby. The service was good enough. The buffet breakfast have various choices. You will enjoy it. They have fitness gym, bar and swimming pool. They have 2 buildings main tower and north tower. I stayed at north tower every time I had to use bridge at 11th floor but it wasn’t so complicated. The view was good. The location is also good. Near to central world which is biggest mall and premium fashion mall is connected to the hotel.

Good hotel for the price. It has the facilities to qualify it as a 5 star just don't expect it to be comparable to international 5 star brands. But it's priced lower/st compared to surrounding 5 star hotels. Older-style interiors, big rooms. Breakfast is good enough. Pastries/bread are not kept warm. As long it's included in room rate and you don't pay the full 350~390 baht/pax for it it's fine.

This hotel staff is seriously under trained for it's 5 star rating. And then the hotel is understaffed. Not sure where it received it's five star from, it is not deserved. The staff rarely smile, I can tell they are not happy and maybe overwhelmed. Only the Oak Bar and the Dining room are open. The other restaurants listed on the website are closed. The rooms are outdated, carpets are just nasty. The shower does have hot water that turns to cold and then comes back hotter without touching the valve. If you want i e be prepared to wait. If you want food poolside be prepared to wait. Positives, the room still has a sense of elegance. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. Common areas of the hotel look nice but you look closely and you can see the dirt. The breakfast is good, lots of options but if you want coffee you have to use the self serve machine.

It was great being here. All places are nearby. Clean n neat hotel and service. Only we did not like the washbasin without a mixer tap. Cooling is not very effective in the room may be because the room is too big. On raising the complaint immediately all got resolved soon with cool notes and complimentary fruits. Loved it. I highly recommend this place.

It says 5-star but some things need quite an improvement. It is a little old, food was ok but coffee was below average for the price. No exhaust in my room. I asked the staff and they said the room is not equipped with exhaust, especially for the bathroom. Quite unfortunate. The location is quite good tho.

This hotel is in the center of Bangkok, 10 minutes walking from railway station. Next to night market, convenient stores, restaurant, street food. It's luxury. The room is clean, full stuffs, great view. The reception is good support. Breakfast buffet is delicious with many dishes.

A great hotel in a very convenient location. The hotel is split into two towers connected by a bridge on the 11th floor. We stayed in the main tower, the room was clean and decorated to a high standard. The rooms have a strange feature which allows you to open up a screen to incorporate the bathroom with the room. This may be appealing to some, just seemed strange to me. Food in the hotel is fantastic and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet has all your usual items but also features traditional Thai dishes such as congee, an array of rice and noodle dishes, and a soup station. I must mention the house band who were a highlight at the hotel. Great voices, very welcoming and they took requests! The hotel building is connected to a shopping centre which has an entire basement floor dedicated to the silver and gold trade. Notable video, the safety latch in the hotel room is genius. First time I’ve seen one like this.

Great location, very near to Siam and central world malls. We had booked premium rooms and they were pretty good. Only thing for improvement is the breakfast which had mostly non vegetarian items and very limited options for vegetarians especially Indian food items.

  • 5/5 Param A. 7 months ago on Google
The rooms are nice and spacious given that this hotel is in such an important location due to all the surrounding malls. If you get room in north tower (Premier Room), then there is some extra walk involved going from one tower to another on 11th floor bridge. Also lobby has some stink smell issue, but room is totally fine. Overall I enjoyed the stay very much and would definitely stay here again in the future. The room is very comfortable and nice in size.

Love everything about this hotel.. from the minute we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. We got there a bit early, but we're able to get into our rooms right away because it's available. Rooms are clean being made up daily unless you don't want to. Concierge staff are so awesome, we used shuttle service 3 times during our stay, and no matter how busy it gets, they are so calm and polite. The hotel itself is beautiful and decked out for Christmas (we were there in December). 2 beautiful pools but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to use it. 1 thing I felt less than expected is the seafood buffet. I expected it to be more extravaganza and loads of king crabs. There were maybe 10 cut-up pieces at a time on the display. 4 of us could only grabbed 2-3 pieces at a time. Other than that, it's wonderful and we all enjoyed it very much. We stayed in a premiere family room for 2 nights.

The room has room which is ideal just lack of some stuff like soap dish for the bar soap provided and only one toilet roll in toilet without extra provided unless asked. Staffs are pretty prompt in delivery when asked for stuff. Traffic to hotel has good alternative so not that stuck. Also walkable to other malls

Terrific hotel! The hotel was very festive for the holidays, which we appreciated. The morning breakfast always had a lot of options and was consistent. Our room had a great view of Oneworld and was very clean. The staff is also wonderful - we would recommend!

Great place, we will sure love to come back. Great rooms, wonderful breakfast. Very well situated. The cofee at breakfast was instant, not so good. The hotel asks a deposit in cash , on arrival. Everything else was great.

5 star potential with a prime location. With a bit more of a hard work, i believe they may be able to go 5 star. We had a family room for 2 adults and a teenager on the north tower at 28 storey high. It is strategically located within walking distance to most places of big and small malls. even with a week there, one will not be able to finish all the malls and street fairs around that vicinity. They have a single fitness gym at the north tower but 2 pools, one at each tower at 11 storey. Something to note is that the fitness gym is not really big and without any fitness mats available. The pool at the main tower offered poolside services of drinks and food though. Last but not least, I would recommend this hotel 100USD per night on a November weekday for a triple adult room. *Not all hotels offered triple adult rooms.

We enjoyed our stay and go quarantine time here at the Berkeley. The room was very spacious. The shower was hot and relaxing. Wi-Fi was good enough for streaming Netflix and YouTube with no issues. The Cv19 test results came back within 6 hours after testing, so we could go out after, but we opted to stay in. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Bangkok.

I have been here 3 weeks due to business and lockdown. The bed and pillows are high quality and soft. I am impressed that they have maintained some services with out sacrificing quality. Other hotels I have stayed at only provided bare necessities and they charge more for bricks they call beds. Room service is great and we'll priced, the rooms are like a mini condo minus the kitchen. You have a big floor to ceiling for an entire wall and the bathtub is comfortable for bigger people. The water is hot. One thing I really appreciate is that my room has its own seperate air-conditioner that works great. So no central air system circulating. I also drink a ton of water and they keep bringing it. I buy myself bottles at 711 on the corner but it's never enough. I really can't recommend this place enough. My only complaint, is the room and bed are so comfortable, I don't get as much work done. :). I don't remember the last time I have felt this relaxed. It's also an interesting area to walk around with over head walkways, canal boats, and malls(not open now). There's a big super C and Tesco lotus very close, closer than you think if you take the alleyway across the road. I don't know if I could afford this place when fully open with it's 5 different restaurants and it's all you can eat Chinese and Japanese buffets.(closed) Maybe when this is over I'll come back for a couple of days to see what this hotel is like with out restrictions as it's very impressive even with all the lock down rules.

Super delicious seafood buffet!!! The food selections are massive and amazing! The desserts are so nice and very well presented! The most impressive thing is the staff, they are very attentive, friendly, pay attention to details! Thumbs up for the service and food!!!!! Higly recommend the buffet!!!!

Conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok city, Berkeley Hotel was a great place to spend my last days in Thailand before flying back home. The staff was professional, helpful and polite, how it should be. The room was very nice but has some slight wear and tear. Not that this was an issue, but for a 5 star hotel, I was a bit surprised to see this. The bed was super comfortable to sleep in and is one of the very few places on my travels where I didn’t have back pain from the mattress. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel room and some staffs were awsome! But two bad things happened. The first was when I arrived the hotel entrance by car and asked the guardman which floor I should park at, he told me to park at B2 floor although I told him I'd stay at the hotel. Eventually there weren't direct elevators from B2 parking lot to the hotel, but if I parked upstairs, I could use direct elevators to the hotel. I had to bring my heavy baggage through shopping malls to the hotel reception. It was around 10 minutes walk.. The second was that this hotel didn't provide any smoking room at present. But I had asked the receptionist before booking, so that their answer was up to the availability upon my arrival. Actually it has nothing to do with availability..

Awful experience. They wanted me to pay for a "broken" cup that I didn't break. They insisted several days in a row. I payed 30000 THB for rooms and 5000+ THB for so-so breakfast and you really needed to rip me off for another 140 THB? Fix your attitude towards customers. Rooms are seriously outdated. Cleaning is decent. Pool is good. Location is good. Leaving hotel with disappointment - worst experience in generally welcome Thailand.

If you want to stay in Central Bangkok, it's perfect place. This hotel is very high standard. Clean and definitely not boring. The staff is extremely friendly, the hotel bars and restaurants are cozy and you can enjoy and spend time here extensively. A very nice pool area completes the picture. International breakfast buffet with a large selection.

We stayed one night for quarantine in Bangkok as part of Test&Go program. The location and service is general good, but there is a room for improvement. We were picked up from airport and sent to hotel directly. Because of Covid situation, we didn't have a chance to get cash. So we didn't tip our driver who we were extremely appreciated. He drove smoothly and helpful. If the hotel manager read this, he was the guy who picked up us from TG953 on 25 Dec. 2021. Please extend him our warmest gratitude. We checked in around 11am. We had bellboy taking care of our luggages. Our bellboy is very helpful and cheerful, he had 'sanook' in his heart. Not so long after we waited in our room, a nurse came with RT PCR kits--it's the test with long stick in nose. The results took less than 6 hours and we got paperwork from Paolo hospital. We were impressed how quick it went. We got a phone call from reception that we got the results to pickup before we had dinner. However there is a room for improvement. We were starving and irritated of not getting lunch in time. When we checked in, we were told that the lunch will be served before 1pm. We waited impatiently, because we didn't have anything to eat since the morning, and we can't go out to buy food ourselves due to Covid restrictions. We called reception 6 times until we got our lunch served at 2:19pm. The hotel informed us that there are only 2 people working as room service, serving lunch from 11:30am for 100-ish guests. IMHO, the hotel of this size should have better management. We don't want to blame it on staff, they did their best to accommodate us. We hope the hotel should learn and get better at this. This hotel has such a prime location, newly renovated room, but one thing to remember is that the service is the crucial element for overall experience. After we expressed our disappointment for the service directly to receptionists and room service, the staff took it to their hearts. We got better service afterwards. We don't need to wait for hours to get things done. Just a few minutes now. We wrote this review not to discourage other potential clients to book this hotel, it is a good place to stay and reasonable price after all.

  • 2/5 Eli M. 2 years ago on Google
Receptionists are not really helpful at all. Sorry but asking for a deposit in a 5 star hotel... I don't think this should be a 5 star hotel. Totally lack of character in the room. 30th floor and small windown which was dirty and obvs no view. I decided to check out next day and just go to a small hotel which was way more pleasant in all senses. There is no plugs next to the bed neither.... πŸ˜•

Great location! Convenient near night market and shopping malls! Room: love the room! it’s huge. great view and bathroom is nice! Service: great and nice staff! was quite confused as i didn’t know the hotel is located at another building and it’s connected but the staff was so kind to guide. Overall it was an amazing stay. Would definitely come back again!
