I booked this hostel with my friends after reading all the good reviews. I’m sorry to say that the experience was totally different from what we expected. The staff was super unprepared when asked about Bangkok and the neighborhood. Not only they couldn’t give us any info about the city and transports, but also about the organization of the hostel itself (like breakfast hours, showers etc). The staff vas also very unkind, we never got a smile back from them. The place is nice but very neglected and not well maintained, on top of that it was INFESTED with cockroaches, one night we killed two and left them in the hallway so the staff could see them… needless to say, the next day the dead insects were still there. When we went to sleep exhausted after the long day, we were disgusted, stressed and worried about cockroaches in our beds. There would be many other little unpleasant situations to write about, but, in short, I will say that we stayed in other hostels in Bangkok for the same price and they were so much better! l attach a very nice image of our roommates!

This place is great! Cool retro atmosphere with great food. The beef tacos and beef nachos are so good we had to order thirds! The signature drink is also a must-try.

I went there two times during my time in Bangkok. It's a little gem, food is tasty, a lot of veggie and vegan options. They have a pool table, the ambiance is cozy and the look is really nice!

Me encanta este lugar. Las habitaciones privadas están muy cómodas y muy lindas. El personal es muy amable y siempre te ayuda. He regresado tres veces únicamente a comer, es delicioso.

Super clean and affordable hostel in a great location close to Chinatown, the metro and The main temples. Shower and toilet facilities were immaculate. We stayed in a two bunk bed room which unfortunately didn’t have a window but the air con was great. Beds were hard but pillows and sheets were soft and clean. The lady who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. Walls are a bit thin so bring earplugs if you want an early night. There is iced drinking water available to refill your bottles so no need to buy plastic which was much appreciated. Free coffee, bananas and biscuits in the morning which was a plus. Overall would recommend!

Very good hostel. They have double and twin room also. I wanted with share room. In room 6 beds. Bed comfortable but pillow uncomfortable. Air condition all night working and room so cold i wake up because of cold and turned off 😂🙈 and i slept good after other person again turned on after some hours again i wake up and i turned off because of cold i cant sleep. If u also like me here little bit problem sleep with other people. But i knew this and i stayed just one night. Generally nice atmosphere. Toilet so clean. Nice people. And good price 🥳💃

Enjoyed our short stay at Bangkok Bed and Bike. The room is much bigger than I had anticipated. Air conditioner is strong and the bed is comfy. Shared bathrooms were clean and huge. Free bike rentals were a plus and fun to use. They also let us store our bags after check-out for the day before our evening flight. Staff was super helpful in helping us book a taxi to the airport. Highly recommend.

If you're coming to Bangkok I highly encourage you to stay at this hostel! This place has a great vibe and is a cozy and lovely space. The people are very friendly and super helpful. I took a private room which was perfect for me. The shower room was great and it was pretty spacious and well as clean at all times. The only down side is that it is very noisy from the main streets outside but it does down at night. Also the beds are fairly hard but I believe that's the norm with accommodations in thailand. Everything else was perfect at Bangkok Bed and Bike!

The hostel is situated in very communicative area, it looks well, BUT when you name a place bed and bike, it's inappropriate to charge for bike rent 50 baht an hour, and to have condition to leave your passport. We've spent many nights in different hostels and hotels, this is the first we had pets (ants) in bed, most of showers don't work properly, same as locks in the toilets. Used laundry service, and had to dry clothes again. Good we had some rope 😁. Don't fell for the pictures and high ratings is the conclusion.

Bed and Bike is a unique rustic boutique hostel with a bicycle theme. It has both private rooms, bunkbed rooms, and shared hostel rooms, perfect for all kinds of travelers. The hostel has the following facilities: - Communal microwave - Shared bathrooms + Showers - A restaurant / Cafe - A pool table - lounge area - Free biscuits + Tea - Towels The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful, and communicated very well in both Thai and English. The decorations were cool to look at. It was decorated with old items scattered in a nice manner. The food at the restaurant was also surprisingly good at an okay price! Wr suggest eating here if you feel lazy to go out! The only downside is the lack of parking, but it is acceptable knowing that it is a hostel. There is decent parking nearby too.

This is a cool place to relax, both in its vibe and temperature, and the food and drink are good. I’m happy to see that there is a vegan section of the menu and that’s where I ordered from.

I have to say, this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Incredibly well priced, extremely friendly and kind staff. Good food and drink available with a comfortable social area. Good location for the chilled out traveler close to tourist attractions but not the busy night life if that’s what your after. Beautiful building that is very well kept, incredibly clean and all the amenities you can want and more. I have stayed in worse hotels than this. Small dorms so it’s nice and feels safe. Showers and toilets are very clean and modern. Free tea and biscuits for guests that is a lovely touch. An excellent professional pool table with extremely talented competition every night that is great fun to play or watch. I highly recommend this place and will stay here if ever I return.

Stayed here for four nights in December 2023 in a double bunk bedroom. The room was clean and bed comfy. However, the room lacked ventilation because of the locked windows. So, imagine the stuffiness and smell built up in an afternoon of Bangkok's heat & humidity greeting me when i return in the evening :-( Common toilets and showers were well kept and, luckily, had proper ventilation. Though the hostel offers free use of bikes for their guests, I strongly advise against it because I think the bikes are really not road-worthy. I took one out for a two-hour ride and I was constantly worried about the bike holding up than Bangkok’s traffic! Also, there were no in-house laundry facilities; the nearest self-service laundromat is a 400m walk away.

This was my first solo hostel stay experience. The location of the Hostel is fantastic, you really are in the center of town surrounded by cathedrals (if you're a light sleeper like me, I might suggest bringing earplugs.)

Advantages: great vibe and design, very nice owners and staff, cheerful bird at the reception and free small snacks, fruits, drinks for guests. AC in the room was working properly. Location is close to many attractions, public transport and night life, but still very quiet. Wifi was okay. Sometimes great speed, sometimes not loading even google maps. Disadvantages: if you stay in a shared room be ready to fight over AC, it's not central and every person can just take a remote and turn it off, or set 19° temperature. I think there should be rules, so guests have less conflicts. No quiet hour rule. So, again, be prepared to talk to your neighbors if they want to have a call at 11pm or repack luggage at 7am. Bulk beds are not stable and shaking crazily when you're climbing to 2nd level bed. You'll hear and feel every slight move of the other person and they will feel yours.

I love the rustic style of this hostel. Worth of its price! Very clean with amazing staff! Location is near to some tourist spots!

Private rooms are a good size and clean at a good price, hostel feels safe and in a good location. However the hostel has many downsides: No 24/7 reception or out of hours hotline No aircon or fans in any of the corridors, social areas or bathrooms (other than the ground floor) - making them unbearable in the heat No laundry facilities available either paid or self service washing machine (this is normally a bare essential of a hostel for backpackers) No bathrooms on each floor, so you have to walk to a different floor to use the bathroom or showers Towels - horrific like drying yourself with sandpaper will leave you itchy and not even dry after There is a kitchen - but minimal fridge space and a sign saying you can’t use during the day “staff use only after 9am” Also very rude Asian staff members

Exceeded expectations! Very clean. Very polite people. Bathrooms have muslim shower. Bathrooms are constantly cleaned. The lady on our floor was even wiping clean the bathroom walls. Shower rooms have heated water. Owner was interested to help us discover the city. Shower rooms have hair drier. We were three people who took the private room. They AC worked well. Didnt get a chance to use the bikes. Cappuccino server there was also really good. WIFI was perfect!!

I didn’t stay in the B&B but I had dinner here. I sat in this place with such a hope to have some good quality food and a was bitterly disappointed with a watered down curry. Please next time say that you’ve run out of provisions.

Very nice hostel with big rooms, common but clean showers! The hall feels like home and the manager can cook lots of good stuff even when you arrive from the airport starving at 11 pm! Would definitely recommand!

This bed and breakfast was one of the highlights of my trip to Thailand back in February 2020. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. I needed to leave very early and they set up my continental breakfast in a to-go bag. The location is within walking distance to many great spots you'll want to check out in Bangkok. From the old wooden staircase, to the dumb waiter they use to bring your bags upstairs, this place oozes with cozy vibes.

Loved my stay in Bangkok bed and Bike ...it’s not only quaintly decorated with a choice of antique furniture...but the room was great and the staff were like friends!! Its perfectly located... walking distance to the Grand Palace and Khao San Road...ans has numerous street food stalls close by which are delicious and must try for travelers. The bathroom are decent ...clean and nice. And the food was great!! I loved the butterfly drink. I’m so glad I chose this place...and highly recommend it to any female travelers. Thanks to all the girls who were working there ...you made my stay so comfortable with your warmth and friendly service.

Nice and clean place, but rather quiet for a hostel. We saw only few other guests during our stay. Music choice is rather strange. If you book a two bed room, make sure you have a window. Apart from that it's a good place to visit the temples nearby. The staff is nice and very helpful and the food tastes good.

I stayed in this hostel while I was travelling Bangkok. It has such a peaceful, warm atmosphere and beautifully decorated. They have a cafe in the hostel also. Great coffee and affordable food! The staff are super friendly and very helpful with any questions I needed to know. The rooms are comfortable. Overall, this was a wonderful experience.

Really nice place! Very upscale lobby and good design throughout the building. My private room was a reasonably size and nicely furnished. Very central to many major sightseeing spots. I like that they talk you through a little map when you come in to give you a nice overview of the things to do in the neighborhood. Something about the place is a little cold and formal. All that said, one of the nicer hostels I've ever stayed in, and possibly the nicest of the four I stayed in while in Bangkok.

Friendly and helpful owners! We enjoyed the convenient location for both sights and the blue line subway. The hostel owner is a great chef and the common room has a great vibe with a pool table.

Review for Bangkok Bed and Bike: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bangkok Bed and Bike, and I must say it was an absolute delight. This unique hostel combines the comfort of a cozy bed with the convenience of exploring Bangkok on two wheels. Firstly, the staff at Bangkok Bed and Bike were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They greeted me with warm smiles upon arrival and were always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations for local attractions and eateries. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for the city added an extra level of enjoyment to my stay. The accommodations themselves were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The beds were cozy, and the rooms were well-maintained. What sets this place apart, though, is the bike rental service. It's a fantastic way to explore Bangkok's bustling streets and vibrant neighborhoods. The bikes were in excellent condition, and the staff even provided me with a detailed map highlighting popular biking routes and points of interest. The location of Bangkok Bed and Bike is another highlight. It's situated in a vibrant and trendy neighborhood, close to numerous local markets, cafes, and street food stalls. Additionally, several major attractions such as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are within biking distance, making it easy to explore the city's rich cultural heritage. One thing worth mentioning is that the hostel does not have an elevator, so if you have mobility concerns or heavy luggage, it's something to keep in mind. However, the staff is more than willing to assist with luggage if needed. Overall, my experience at Bangkok Bed and Bike was fantastic. The combination of comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, and the opportunity to explore Bangkok by bike made for an unforgettable stay. Whether you're a solo traveler or with a group, I highly recommend this hostel for a unique and memorable experience in the heart of Bangkok.

Cool hostel, easygoing, well located, clean, and you get to learn how to play snooker since the owner and mine of their friends are professionals.

Highly recommended if you want an accomodation less than 5 minutes walk to the Grand Palace, a beautiful Buddhist temple, several quaint cafes, and a fairly caring hostel staff. The owners often went above and beyond their duties to make guests feel cared for.

Great hostel. I was initially planing on staying 2 days there but ended up booking 2 more days. The owner Effi is incredibly nice, easy going and she recommended some places to visit. The hostel is very well located I could reach everything by foot and is super close to metro station.

  • 4/5 Bob H. 1 year ago on Google
Well run small hostel with great little front bar. Located in the old town near the Palace, the place is a good place to observe how working class thai people live day to day in the local suburb. Apart from the main attractions, the suburb also has some amazing, if somewhat run down, historical buildings peppered throughout the suburb from the early days of the city. It is also close to the Old Siam shopping centre which is a quirky old school shopping centre with heaps of good food, and the Sam Lot metro station is a 5-10 minute walk. Effie the owner has been great the few times we have stayed here and is very knowledgeable about the local area and how things work there for the locals. She also has a keen eye for vintage fashion and has fitted out the hostel with great style. One thing to note is that the stairs are quite steep, so if you have mobility issues this might not be the place for you, however the facilities are good value at the price.

Highly recommended place! Me & my sister stayed here for 5 nights & everything is clean, comfy & nice. The only thing we have to be careful is the old stairs 😹. The decoration is vintage mixed with Thai wall art. Staffs & owners are very helpful & welcoming. They provide shower cream, shampoo, microfiber towel & lockers. Also bike service offer so you can bike around (we didn't use though). I think it's great for laid-back people & youngsters who don't mind a bit of distance to here & there. They also provide in-house meals & drinks. The location is very good for people who wanna visit Bangkok inner old town. You can walk to the Palace or temples around here or take MRT Sam Yot to China Town. Or ride the bus to anywhere. They also have Ola Thai Tapas restaurant nearby which also serves great food at reasonable price for tourist area).

You absolutely have to check out this incredible accommodation if you want a place that's just a stone's throw away from the Grand Palace, a stunning Buddhist temple, cozy cafes, and a hostel staff who truly cares. The owners of this place go above and beyond to make sure guests feel completely taken care of and cherished. It's an experience you won't want to miss!
