Absolutely fabulous Hostel! I spent over 1200 nights in a hostel since 2017 and this is one of my top 3 picks. It’s social but not a “party” hostel and “posh” but not too pricey. I honestly can’t think of a single negative point and I’m pretty picky.

Thailand is one of those places that has many great hostels, but 'Once Again' tops the list. I visited her back in 2019 before the pandemic set in. Its one of the most accessible, friendly and holistic hostels I have ever stayed in! The single bed spaces are very spacious with enough room to store all your belongings plus has curtains for complete privacy.

Unfortunately the most impressive part of the hostel is the front porch, entrance and lobby. Really nice looking spot. The beds were also spacious and more comfortable than most other hostels. The included breakfast was just corn flakes and milk with egg sandwiches that sit in the fridge for the whole day. This hostel definitely caters to the young traveller, groups of young kids so the vibe for a solo traveller is not as good as i am looking for. The bathrooms were quite dirty pretty much all day and always had some sort of bad smell just hanging around. The rooms were small and seemed to always be crammed with shoes and very noisy every time the door was opened or closed. Definitely a great option for the young crowd, I will try somewhere else next time.

On a quiet street. Cafe is fantastic with high quality specialty coffee drinks. Nice interior design and layout built for socializing. Was rly easy to meet people there. Bedrooms are clean and private. Upstairs hallways are modern cement with pictures to mimic an art gallery. Kitchen was old/overused, small, not extremely clean. Bathrooms smelled a bit musty- the shower area reeked of urine…very unpleasant. Staff is super cool, friendly, and feels like everybody wants to be there and create community.

Very good hostel, I would recommend it. The rooms are good, I had a 4 person bedroom. Each bed has curtains, a light, a plug and a small safe. The facilities were cleaned regularly and were clean. The common spaces are super good to socialise, always people in the lobby working or hanging out on the porch, perfect to socialise. I met new people everyday and did some visits together the days after, it's really have the backpacker hostel vibe that I love. Overall modern and comfortable. Big plus to the staff, very friendly and very helpful. They were so nice and welcoming. They encouraged communication and we're always available to help. Location is great too : a lot of the main points of interest are 15 minutes away walking. The rest I took the bus or metro, some took grabs taxis and scooters.

The location is pretty good. The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean but the bathrooms are horrible. They always smell bad and every single shower is broken. If you dont mind taking cold showers then you will like it here.

Great hostel. Nice rooms and comfortable beds, each with a locker and a curtain. Nice vibe and nice people. Maybe ask in advance for a bed not too close to the AC.

Stop reading more reviews and book yourself this hostel right away. This place is just amazing, the hostel itself is modern and very comfortable, ideally located in walk distance to all sites and public transport. The lobby is a perfect place to meet fellow solo travellers, and you should definitely join their free tours of the city. The staff is also very friendly and super helpful and knows Bangkok and will help you with anything you may need. Did I mention there is lot of great food around? Also connected to the lobby is a specialty coffee shop which serves perfect coffee. Very much recommended!!!

Overall a great place to stay. Free breakfast, free water refills, great location, AC, curtains on bed which gives you tons of privacy. Only thing that ruined it a little was 1) pillows are hard as a rock. It's filled with air or something so be prepared to sleep on a sweater. I probably slept the worst here out of any other hostel I've stayed at in Thailand and 2) I paid for an early check in because I arrived at 6am and they put me in a used bed. The sheets were wrinkled and pulled back but they tried making the bed quickly in front of me hoping I wouldn't notice. Other than that, which most likely doesn't happen often, this place is good.

Really didn’t vibe with this hostel unfortunately. The location was pretty good, but the bathrooms were really dirty and the rooms—at full capacity—felt really cramped (no real area for luggage), no lights near the head of the bed, not to mention the mattress and pillows were wildly uncomfortable. There was a manic guest that was wickedly screaming and stomping around in the night, leaving all the solo gals in my dorm pretty freaked (i know this is out of the hostels control per se, but he was creating chaos too long for my liking. Security???). The breakfast is not great, but was fine in a pinch. I will say the massage center was lovely and a great deal I thought. Wish I could lend this place more stars, but I can’t /:

A good hostel! Not super social but air conditioned 24/7 and they provide free filtered water. The rooms are nice and clean. Pretty good location for exploring Bangkok! If you stay here I couldn’t recommend trying Thai Food at Samranrat which is right up the road!!!

Nice hostel in the heart of the old city (touristic area). Staff is very friendly, rooms and showers are clean. There is a lot of street food to try around.

It's a very good Hostel. Clean, helpful staff. Modern and welcoming vibe. Toilets and rooms are clean. But that also could change depending on the guest that stay there. Simple yet warm roof top. 10 mins away from Metro. Near Giant Swing and its respective temple. Alot of restaurants and bars available 20 mins by walk. Very affordable .. it's a good hostel, I would visit again. stayed there from 26th March to 31st March.

Really nice and a good price. They offer tours for free which makes it easy to get to know new people. Very social. Furthermore they have free water, very cool :)

The receptionist was one of the best I met, really considerate and helpful guy. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable, I liked that the lockers are where the beds are, very easy to get your stuff. Pretty good location too.

Average in many ways! Mostly because I didn’t have a pleasant experience with my room. There were bugs which scared me and I had to change the room in middle of the night. Another reason for 3 star is the fact that this place has lack of comfortable seating! There is not a single place where I could just sit and rest my back. Every seat is made of concrete with no cushions (there are few which are so hard and uncomfortable) It being a hostel I wanted to sometimes lounge in the lobby but due to the lack of any comfortable seating it was almost impossible. I hope they work on it. This hostel is located in a great area and has so much potential to be one of the best. Good luck

Very clean and friendly place. Prices are fair. They provide filtered water. The location is good if you want to be close to Khao San road. The only negative point is the staff is not able to help you to book a reliable transportation from the hostel to an airport.

Really lovely place, great vibe and very clean. The beds are spacious with curtains. Everything locked and on a nice quiet street. Fame works there and took such great care of us, helped us with our bags and luggage, nice smiling face :) whole staff was great though. Coffee shop attached - will be back here in a couple weeks! Also cool rooftop and front patio spot to hang out

A very good hostel that is clean and has nice people staying there. I was afraid that it would be hard to make connections but that's always up to oneself. It's true that it is not a social hostel per se, but oneself attitude can change that. The rooms are comfortable and clean, as well as the bathroom and showers. The staff is friendly, smiling and helpful when it comes to questions, plus it's 24/7. This was my girlfriends first hostel experience and she liked it very much. The rooms have a safe at your bed for your important belongings (bring a lock!) and some extra space for your backpack. Some thick curtains for privacy, a power outlet and a light. Additionally, it is very close to the most touristic attractions and the Khao San Road (to all about 20-30 walk). It is also at a very silent spot, so you can easily get a good night's sleep. The rooftop is very quite and you can see one of the temples very well which gives it a nice atmosphere. It also has a quite hidden lounge that I discovered later on. All in all a good hostel to stay in!

Plenty of things to see in a walkable distance from the hostel. I was staying in themixed 8 room and there were absolutely no problems. Each pod has a very small lockable compartment which you can lock with your own padlock. It was too small to fit any padlock, so the lighter padlocks are recommended. You will definitely not fit your carry on bag into the compartment. On the other hand, the perceived privacy you have in the bed was on the higher end of hostels in which I have stayed before. There are complementary fish sandwiches available in the fridge, but unfortunately I wasn't able to try any.

Superb hostel. The facilities are smart and well kept; staff are friendly and helpful; my bunk was spacious and private with a locker, plug and light. It’s also in an ideal location for exploring central Bangkok.. 5 minute walk from Khao San Road and 10 to the nearest metro Perfect stay for both first-time and experienced travellers. 10/10

What is important in a hostel? The beds and the bathrooms. The beds are ok but the bathrooms are a disgrace. It stinks and only half of it works. Things from other guests are flying around everywhere. It would be good if someone went through at least once a day

I had a good experience staying at this hostel. It was centrally located and easy to get to different places from here. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was the only person in my dorm during my stay and there weren't many hostel activities scheduled on those days so I didn't get to interact with people much. More effort can be made by hostel staff in this regard. However I had a great stay. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean. In house cafe served good food and coffee. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in Bangkok.

I had a great stay in Once Again Hostel! The beds and curtains were perfect. It gives me privacy despite being in an 8 bed dorm. The daily events are great way to meet new people. I met lots of great individuals!

Once Again hostel's strong points are their frequent social tours, which gave those who wished to be social, an opportunity to meet and get to know each other while exploring something new. During my time there, I would see new groups of strangers become friends and travel together afterward. The hostel is in close proximity to several attractions and food stalls. The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable. The accommodations and breakfast are fairly limited compared to previous hostels, however, the social atmosphere and great community spaces made this a memorable experience.

One of my favorite hostel experiences. The lobby is so trendy and clean. Love the family dinners every night to get to know new people. Bathrooms have lots of sinks, showers, and toilets available. Curtains on the beds are great and the light in each bed is nice. Small lock box for valuables and the rest is kept on your bed. Great location and quiet. Jay Fai restaurant is 2 blocks away. Recommend to anyone!! Great for solo travel.

Best hostel ever. The staff are so helpful and nice, there are many sitting areas so if you want to meet people, it's perfect and also if you want to be alone. Laundry services are good and reliable. Coffee shop is also great. We liked it so much that we cancelled our reservations for another hotel in Bangkok just to come back here in a month.

Had a nice 3 nights stay ! Quiet location in the old town, easy to visit around. Breakfast is just what you need, the open space downstairs is big and comfy. It’s a really good thing to offer daily activities ! Nice vibe, lovely people at reception. I will go back !

Once Again Hostel was a wonderful, classy way to experience Bangkok. It's right in the middle of a lot of major tourist attractions which made it easy to get around and very easy to walk places. We stayed in the dorm style rooms which afforded a lot of privacy with their pod-style beds and allowed us to sleep in as little or as much as we liked. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the lobby/living room spaces were fun to hang out in. I think the best part was asking the staff about where to go and how to get around. They were super knowledgeable and showed us a lot of great places that were off the beaten track. Would highly recommend to any backpackers going to Bangkok!

been at once again hostel in 2016 and 2018, honestly the best hostel in the world. I wish I could take this place and just bring it with me where ever I go. Can’t wait for Thailand to finally reopen its borders for backpackers to come back to this magical place. I miss the vibe so much! Met the best people there, so many great memories 💙 see you soon 💙

An architectural gem. You can tell how much thought went into designing every aspect of the space. High class design, hostel prices. Incredible

Very chilled hostel experience with friendly staff. It was absolutely no problem that I arrived at 7AM, was allowed to shower and have breakfast. Rooms were tidy, smell of incense sticks was pleasant. Only we paid for a superior room with temple view, but apparently superior rooms don’t exist with a window. Advantage is that you can lock your entire bed with backpack and all your stuff. Plus there is air conditioning and curtains isolate really well.

First hostel that I've been to that is able to achieve a super social atmosphere without being a party hostel. I think it works because they have such a nice common area and activities to bring people together, but the cafe doesn't serve alcohol (there's a place next door you can buy local and craft beer and bring back to the hostel to enjoy which was nice). Facilities are well kept, beds are big with plenty of storage space. Nice, simple breakfast options.

Perfect for when you need to bop in and out of Bangkok. The food area that area is epic. Cheers!

As a first time solo traveler abroad, I felt right at home in the hostel. Not only were the facilities very well-kept and clean, but the staff were very accommodating. I didn't feel like I was talking to hostel staff. I felt like I was talking to friends who genuinely wanted me to have the best (and most cost-effective) time ever, and I did. All the hostel staff were always eager to help in any way they know how. Plus, the hostel is situated in a very peaceful area, and near the temples, which is great if you're not looking to party hard every day. xoxo

Considering the price point of this hostel, the quality of the services and the amenities was fair. The staff was kind and the facilities were maintained clean daily. The complimentary breakfast was quite disappointing - there were only 2 items (toast and cereal) and the coffee was not even included (you have to pay 50 baht for an Americano). The mattress and the pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. There are no lockers in the hostel, except for a small box inside of each pod which you can only use if you bring your own padlock. If you travel with a large backpack or a suitcase, you basically have to bring it to bed with you!

Shout out to Tan who was in the reception when i arrived for a 4 day stay. She always have a smile on her face and is absolutely fantastic. She is born to serve and looks like she genuinely love to make people happy. Being a senior, i had problem being on the top bunk and since the place is fully booked , she took the trouble to arrange for me to swap to a lower bed.....she is also sensitive to the issues we faced. Realizing that the temperature was a tad too cold for me, she asked me if i wanted to increase the aircon temperature in the common area, which i did. The service is top notch, breakfast is free everyday and dinner was free for xmas eve. What a deal.

Everything is perfect. Fantastic beds that you can lock entirely like a little cage, beautiful place, clean bathrooms, ideal location and Tan at the reception is super nice!

Really good and social hostel, you can easily sleep aswell without nice and the dorm beds have curtains or shutters for privacy!

  • 5/5 Christopher H. 4 years ago on Google
I enjoyed staying here whilst in Bangkok. Stayed in a dorm room of 8, but felt very private in the pods with the curtain shut. Good air con, clean showers and toilets and friendly staff. Breakfast included in the price which was surprisingly good consisting of fresh fruit, toast, cereal, noodles, and coffee. Staff were great and put on social events. Also the cafe was really good as was the amazing rooftop area for meeting people and having a drink.
