I booked this hostel because it was cheap and close to Khao San Road. I was shown to my extremely packed dormitory room where it was hot and stinky. As a solo female traveller, I would never recommend this hostel to any other female. There were only men and I did not get a good feeling about the security and safety. I decided to leave and stay somewhere else. Yes the price is cheap, but not worth it.

My belongings were missing by the end of the day, the owner didn't seem to care or put in much effort to be helpful. Cramped, run down, dirty, no hot water for showers, no water refill unless pay for it, unbearable bathroom sanitation level and smell... If you are in it for the quick, cheap, just in it for the sleep and go off the next day and you really have no choice, why not.

Accommodation for poor backpackers... Please don't be fooled by the picture of the property, as it doesn't look like it was taken of this property. It's cheap and the location isn't bad, but it's not a great place to stay. The staff is very bright and friendly. (And he's even handsome. ^0^)

I booked mint hostel but they provided a bed from ploy hostel which is next to mint hostel. They told me these are same, but I think it’s not same! I chose hostel after checking reviews and photos. Ploy hostel has a lots of bad reviews. AND! They don’t preserve breakfast anymore!!!!! I think it’s kinda fraud! Be careful!

Finally getting around to writing this! Our lockers were broken into somehow and all our money was taken from mine and my friends lockers. When we went to tell them, they said we left BOTH our lockers unlocked... Then they kept our money as we told them we didn't want to stay another night. It was 100% the staff and we weren't the only ones, we met a few other people who also had their stuff taken. Seems like they prey on people who go out to Koh San Road for the night.

This place is the MOST average you can get. The bedrooms...I couldn’t say bad but kind of not nice...they had curtains but I found them pretty warm, and bright in the morning, the showers/toilets..not dirty ! But not enough ! So many people but I would say not enough facilities.. hmm it was okay overall

For the price, it is such a deal to have a bed and showers and air conditioning. In a quieter part next to Khao San, it’s a nice walk to all kinds of places to go. So many choices around though, so pick your own!

Don't expect anything fancy- its a cheap hostel and you get what you pay for- but it was a decent hostel. The showers were all on the ground floor but not a big deal for me. The rooms were tiny but had curtains for each bed, as well as A/C and fan. Atmosphere was fine, always someone to talk to if you wanted. Located in a cool street with lots of food places, and less than ten mins to khaosan road.

Nice hostel for a short stay. Really good for the price you pay, it was cheap. You get free breakfast which is bread jam/butter coffee. Common areas are relatively small. Helpful staff. Clean bathrooms. They have hair dryers too. Hot water is not required in general, they have it in one. Check-in timings as re flexible. 10 minutes walking distance from khaosan road. Food options available nearby.

this hostel is the most cheapest hostel in the area but if you deal with that price dont think you will get the good one , the doors are not lock so people easy come and go and there was no cctv ! you have to be carefull with your stuff , when i was there someone lost 8.000 baht from his bag he in his room and it just lost because no cctv , no breakfast , and the check in location was on ploy hostel beside this hostel , the ac is not 24 hour, its so hot in day , so many food vendors near it , you can walk to khaosan road just like 10 minutes , you have to pay for towel 20 baht , this hostel good if you dont care about anything and just sleep at the night, and be carefull with you thing .

Simply fraud. We had booked this hostel, arrived in a smoking, smelly, drunken room where we were then put into the ploy hostel. DISGUSTING hostel, read the other reviews and definitely don't come here! Unsafe and dirtiest situation I have ever experienced in my entire life

0 stars. We arrived and were put into a completely different hostel than in the pictures. This is simply fraud. We arrived and were divided into rooms as a group of three. A room for 6 was booked and I was in a disgusting room with 12 others without a fan. Nothing at all. There was urine coming out of the toilets and there was rubbish everywhere. DON'T BOOK!!!

impudence. We booked the Mint Hostel for 3 people, arrived, wanted to check in and were sent straight to the hostel next door. (Ploy Hostel) We checked in there and were taken to our rooms. Booked a room together and were separated. Not only that it wasn't the Mint Hostel. This hostel was the dirtiest hostel we stayed in. Smelled like urine everywhere. So it's best to avoid!!! Both hostels

Good cheap hostel that I would recommend for budget travellers. It's located a short walk from Khao San Road and with the nearby buses you can get almost anywhere. The included breakfast consists of toast, bananas and coffee/tea. Between 11 am and 6 pm the air conditioning is turned off and the rooms get very hot. However the lobby is quite nice and a good place to meat other backpackers. The top floor has no bathrooms, so you have to go down one flight. The showers are on the ground floor, so three flights down if you sleep on the top floor. The beds were also a bit short for me, I'm 184 cm tall.

Consider this place only for a budget and economical sleep bed space, and washroom facilities, apart from that nothing else. Hygiene is fine, not much of a problem. AC although there but not a good or strong cooling. The one thing i dint like was after asking the price for an additional stay, i was charged a little more later at time of check out - not a good thing as a customer to experience. Location is good ....for ease of public transport. Overall, would not recommend this place, as you get other options close by for a slightly higher rate which is worth and fine.

its placed at the end of a nice alley. so its away from all the noise pollution. the place is small and compact but nice. i loved my stay there. its clean and comfy. staff is helpful. the beds might feel think for your choice. the breakfast is good and sufficient. wifi is nice. its a 10 min walk from the Khaosan Road. the same alley has quite a few inexpensive restaurants so you can not be far from food. there is also a 7-11 nearby. hope this helps. The atmosphere at the hostel was really good, as well as the staff. For the price I paid I was really happy with the services: clean, nice temperature, comfy bed. Cheap shops and restaurants nearby, close to main touristic landmarks Only con: no hot water on the shower. I visited Bangkok during the coldest month and the cold shower was bearable for me, but some guests could not and had to change hostel

Worth the price. Fast check in. Have curtain for privacy. Small lockers in the room. Provide towel, but no toiletries in the shower rooms. Simple breakfast. Have place to socialize. But only found 1 toilet. And 4 shower rooms. 10 minutes walk to Khao San area

4 stars just for the price. Overall a basic average hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hostel was very small with lots of people. No AC during the day. Not many showers and they are on the ground floor by the reception. Fine for a night's stopover but wouldn't fancy anymore than a night or two. Best thing is the cheap price.

Of course it's cheap, but cheap doesn't mean dirty and with insects. I have been traveling for my last 2 years and its the only hostel i've found tiny insects such as chinches and more disgusting insect in the pillow or bed. The bathroom is simply to much dirty and its also disgusting to have a shower

Faultless. At this price, everything you need, an excellent location 10 minutes walk to kao San Rd, it's on a quiet street but still has many cheap eat and drink places, coffee available and local laundry services which are almost as cheap as doing it yourself. The best thing though was the other people staying, a wide range of interesting lovely people who, although constantly changing, were always welcoming and willing to include you whether it was to sit and chat or go out and explore. A chilled and friendly environment.
