Good gym, amazing environment, but worst costumer service ever, especially manager "Milky". I have signed a 3 month contract, they have asked me to provide my bank card number(no cvv) "do now worry its just formal", I have left Thailand due to personal reasons(provided them all the proves than ). But the card somehow was charged, after I have asked to cancel my subscription they said that cancellation fee is 9000THB(aroun 300$). Still considering. !!!Do not recommend to sign for this gym!!! If Virgin Active have QA service please contact me. I am completely unsatisfied with this situation.

Virgin has much better studios in Bangkok! It’s a pity that this one in a super-central location is in such an environment/building and in such a bad shape. Crazy if you think of your monthly fees which are high and not matching the standard of this Virgin branch. The area is rather small with low ceilings. Not much space between the machines - no matter if it’s crowded or not. The showers are usually smelly and don’t look really clean. Theres actually visible fungus in some areas in the shower cabins. The service staff is usually pretty nice - most of the trainers too. I try to avoid this studio as much as possible and rather visit the one at EmQuartier or Siam. These lives up to the high club fees and usual Virgin-Standards and are spacious and clean. Actually what Virgin Active usually stands for. At the studio at Empire Tower you unfortunately find (more than usual) blokes who rather play with their phone and block either equipment or lockers rather than working out. Talking to them is often not helping.

Pleasant atmosphere, used to like coming here, however the free weights equipment at this branch is getting a bit too aged and needs improvement. I.e. Dumbbells missing their grips.

A super nice gym, the most incredible fitness place I have used so far ... but charging 800 baht for a day pass (single use) is just ridiculous

amazing experience at Virgin Active Thailand! The facilities are top-notch, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the variety of classes they offer is impressive. The atmosphere is motivating and the gym is always clean and well-maintained. It's definitely a great place to work out and stay fit. Highly recommended!

Lots of classes, lots of toys, a sauna, a salt room where you can sleep for a long time, but there are people secretly eating snacks. Should be more strict than this. The staff here are lovely and provide good service. The teachers in the class are cute. I like body combat. It's very difficult to make reservations, there are too many people. Zumba has a lot of reservations, but it's fun.

850 bath for a daily entrance includes gym clothes, towels, showers and more. Best before 4pm. Plenty of staff and tools

The equipments and cleaning staff were great, but the free trainer ruined my experience. When I signed the contract, the free trainer was assigned to me. The exercise sessions were fine, then the small talks about gifts for trainer started to make me uncomfortable. Maybe it was about my age ( i was around 18) that encouraged him to talk, in a condescending way, to me about how I was toss around among trainers before he accepted the responsibility.

I am generally satisfied. If there is anything to say, in Yoga class, teachers should discipline the students not to open their mouth during the class. They do not need to say excuses or Ahhh, Ehhh, tired, painful, cannot, etc after each and every pose. Some people cannot do something is no one's business, they have no right to disturb other participants' concentration and silence. Tell the students until they learn to remain silent, questions and comments are allowed only after the class.

I doubt the cleanliness of provided clothes here. Some day I feel itchy by edge of the t-shirt, or sometimes even from pants. I just hope I'd get better.. Or else I'd never come back again.

The gym staff forces you to wear a mask while doing cardio. It's ridiculous & dangerous to wear a mask during intense cardio workouts. I was in a sprint, during a HIIT sprint session on the treadmill, when a staff member interrupted me to make me put on my mask. I could understand wearing a mask for weightlifting, but for cardio (especially intense ones, where I reach 170 bpm) it's about as dumb as wearing a mask to swim. By the end of the workout, everyone's masks are soggy with sweat and they think that it's supposed to help protect from an airborne virus? It's disgusting. Can't wait for the lunacy to be over.

A very limited number of machines, the barest minimum of weights and pulley equipment, and two broken machines that took three months to fix (and are still broken). The typical 10,000 trendmills and bicycles, of course. Yes, you can smell greedy owners from here. You should expect the best from a gym that costs three to five times as much as a typical gym, but you only get the bare minimum. Quite disappointed considering the possibilities. Extra credit for the incredibly kind and accommodating staff. Update: I forgot to mention that's it's been four years since they charged the machines that should tell you your progression. Adductors machine is now broken and will take an extra 10 years to be fixed and smith machine can't lock in properly which is extremely dangerous.

I've had a positive experience at this gym since day one. Good facilities and well maintenance. I decided to become a member after my trial. However, there's room for improvement in communication. The salesperson has been quite persistent in reaching out by texting , calling, urging me to invite others to join. I appreciate the enthusiasm but suggest refining the approach for a more comfortable experience. I feel attacked and would like to quit being the member asap.

It's a fitness center with a lot of play equipment, clean, good bathrooms, and a clean swimming pool. There are many classes to take, worth the price, good service staff.

Extreme disappointing experience, was told online about the 7 day trial pass. Got rejected to enter after just consuming a day in Siam outlet. Was a Singapore VA member for a long time and intended to sign up for Thailand VA, but now am considering my decision after the poor encounter and service by the people in the photos below. Will continue to spread this review to everyone! PLEASE TAKE NOTE!

Have a lot of classes with good coaches and trainers. A variety of equipments to train any part of your body (and mind). They also have a climbing wall, swimming pool, streaming room, and more. (Sleeping pods and salt room are good places to take a nap too.😋) The staffs are very helpful and all smiling. They will gladly give you a good advice if you need one. Recommend to come. Try it! 😘

I barely joined for a week and now u guys are running a free for rest of the year promo? That’s not a very nice welcome for your new member. I feel cheated! How would you feel if you were me? How about extending some goodwill to your new member who just joined and just missed your this free for rest of year promo? - no response from their management Obviously they don’t value building customer goodwill and building long term relations with their members Now I’m stuck in a 12 month contract which I will not renew for sure Will join other clubs as soon as this ends Join at your own risk The next day or next few days u may be out of pocket when they run a promo just after u join

Nice facilities, but... Happened a few times now that they didn't have enough clothes (bit of a problem if you don't take your own workout clothes expecting you'll get it there). The air-conditioning is so loud in certain places it's impossible to work out. Too many people using their phones on machines for a very long time, some not even using earphones.

Good gym with good facilities but majority of people in this gym are on they mobile phones taking up the equipment for long periods of time and during peak hours it not worth even turning up as you can't train at all unless you have couple of hours spare. Gym really needs to put a ban on mobile phones in the training area for health and safety and legal reasons.

Nice gym with new and clever machines, salt swimming pool and cold room but I feel this place is properly narrow although there are a lot of floors.

Friendly staff with great gym facilities. There is an indoor swimming pool and climbing wall. You have to book beforehand if you want to attend a fitness class or use the pool or climbing.

I wanted to know about their campaign, so I left my phone number for them to call me back, and they called me back within the 10 mins. I was busy as I was in the meeting so I couldn't take the call. They call me again when the first called was dropped. Later on when I was done with my meeting, I called them back. The lady who picked up the phone gave me good and clear information, and I was happy with that. But things turned sour when she tried making me visit the club on that same day in the evening. I told her the other day would be better because I was busy and still working. The sales replied me that if you're busy today in the evening, when then I would have time to exercise. Maybe it's just me, I found her response to be very rude and not respectful.

It was amazing: big gym, great service and small details: even hair straightener for girls and socks for rent!

Love the gym but the staffs are incompetent. They overcharged my friend and my credit card for months. It took the staffs forever to return our money, which wasn’t professional.

Don’t even deserve a star!!! All the staffs at the front desk shouldn’t have their job. There’re so many people out there who actually want to work. The worst experience ever!!!

Comparing to other branches. Empire tower is more quite and less people but go there during office hours. Staffs are really friendly. And they have indoor rock climbing too. 3 level - beginner. Intermediate. Advance. Not bad for practicing. Body pump class here is one of my most fav class.

Very friendly, clean, modern, busy club. They provide change of clothes to work out so if you weren't panning to go to the gym but your plans have changed you have no excuse! Small pool, enough for laps but great for aqua zumba! Most classes get full so nook in advance.

Avoid at all costs if you don’t want to be overcharged and lose 10k baht as a result. Apparently staff here aren’t competent enough to perform their duties and they will likely not take any accountability if mistakes arise (mistakes due to their lack of communication/carefulness/ basic understanding of the job). Still waiting for the refunds. 30 days and counting. 0/10 not doing it again.

I got humiliated by the Pilates trainer in class. She mocked at me asking me to join the beginner Pilates instead (I attended Pilates intermediate class). I attend virgin active siam discovery & emquartier very frequent and I had never encounter this. As a trainer, at the very least you should be able to converse basic English and provide instructions on different moves. I didn’t get any guidance nor instructions (apart from the colours of spring to attach onto the equipment) , she coldly ask me to look at what others doing while she fully conversed in Thai. The instructor did not even showed any poses on the machine as well. I could have tried to understand what I’m supposed to do next if she had demonstrated it instead of just verbally instructing it in Thai. I have met a few instructors who made so much effort to learn to provide simple instructions in English during class even when they told me they can’t converse in English (They carried notebooks and study before the class. Kudos for the effort and I really appreciate that.) I’m supposed to attend the next class that I have booked but it’s too unconvincing for me to attend her class.

I've been a loyal client for some time now and I want to address a recurring issue that's been affecting my experience. On multiple occasions, I've booked a yoga class online expecting a specific trainer, only to arrive and find a different instructor without any prior notice. This lack of communication is disappointing and undermines the trust I have in your service. I've brought this up before, expressing my concern that if this continued, I might consider canceling my subscription. Unfortunately, this situation has occurred again, and it's disheartening to feel like my time and commitment aren't respected. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but a simple notification via phone call or text message would go a long way in mitigating the frustration caused by these last-minute changes. As a dedicated client, I value both the quality of instruction and the reliability of your services. I simply can't leave without expressing my sincere appreciation for Khun Jack, an exceptional Yoga Instructor. It's disheartening that I won't be able to continue with his guidance, but circumstances leave me with no alternative. I hope this feedback helps in ensuring a smoother and more respectful experience for all clients moving forward. Best Regards, Pedro Da Costa.
