Reception fay guy is no good. No hello no smile,, I felt he doesn’t like. How I can feel welcome. And hostel started construction without any explain. I couldn’t get water and fridge and relax with crazy huge sound from morning time. Why they started from 10am. Breakfast is continental, Bed is nice.

Would be 5/5 but I had bed bugs there and stayed about a week ago. I complained and staff moved me to another room. They were aware of bed bug reports so seems slack that they didn't resolve the issue last times. I found small old blood marks on the sheets but realised later what that was. The breakfast doesn't include tea or coffee either and that's usually what I look forward to in the morning. Just toast and cereal which was good. A friend reported the bugs too and they didn't say much to him. You'd hope they'd offer more to compensate - perhaps free laundry to ensure bugs aren't travelling with customers. Everything else with the hostel is great - location, quality and showers/bathrooms.

Really enjoyed my stay here. I wanted to stay near Chinatown and hostel is located 2 min walk from the Main Street that gets all the crowds at nighttime - convenient enough to walk and far away enough to not hear any noise :) there is a metro station nearby that I used for all my city commute. I stayed in a female dorm and made some nice connections in my dorm room and the rooftop. The staff was helpful and attentive and spoke good English:) Bathrooms clean regularly and good a/c in the room; beds with curtains for some privacy. Locked large space underneath the beds. Smart lighting solutions in the room - different lighting options provided so you can find your bags without waking up your roommates :) Would definitely recommend this hostel as a good base near Chinatown :)

Great location, but the hostel doesn't really represent the same as the photos. Lots of washing and towels hung out in the communal areas on the railing, there's signs up to say it'll be taken away but never does. Rooms smell very damp because of no windows or decent ventilation, they had a small dehumidifier in our room but it didn't do half enough. Bathrooms were pretty dirty, minimal hot water and sinks had toothpaste spit down the whole run of sink the whole time we were there. Breakfast is pretty sad too, although free of course (!) no drinks, you'll need to buy from the cafe, not enough seats for everyone to sit in the 2 hour slot so you're sort of hovering waiting for a seat.

Convenient and clean. The staffs are super sweet, friendly and helpful. The common area is a bit dusty, but the bed and common bathroom are nice and clean. If you going to check out early before 9 am., let the staff know prior, so they can manage to prepare to return the key card deposit for you. I didn't understand at first so, I have to come back to check out later after I finish running an errand in the morning. Don't come if you do not like to take some adventure, going through small alleys with motorbikes passing through. You have to understand that this is a busy China Town market, but on the plus side, the famous street food stalls are right at the door step. You can just walk out to eat and shopping some nice and cheap wholesale and retails stuffs until you collapse. Overall, it is a very cool place to stay.

Great hostel at a superb location. The hostel bed structure are very well built, curtains are also fully block out light. A well thought out hostel. Just that stairs can be a little steep at times.

I heard some during my stay say that they’d read reviews suggesting this place wasn’t as fun or as lively as other places, but I think this is ultimately down to the traveller. I wouldn’t describe this as a lairy backpacker place, but I met so many great people here and we all partied together 🤷‍♂️. The bar on the roof is a great starting point, it’s a chill vibe, they have live music some nights, and there’s also coworking space and social eatery/pantry. In general the place is super well located in China town and the staff are all incredibly helpful and lovely. The rooms are nice also.

Not the best hostel I've stayed. Good spot in china town. On pictures the hostel looks like modern and fancy. The dorms smells cause of the air conditioning and no windows. Need a good Ventilation system, to solve the problem of smell inside the entire building!! Nice roof top. Breakfast included, but just a part of it, I mean all the beverage excluded and a bit too expensive.

Looks great on the photos - in reality not so great. cockroaches in the bathroom, bed bugs in the room. They said they cleaned the whole room just before - didn’t help. When I told about the bed bugs the girl only changed the sheet. I went to sleep up in the living room, got all the money back. The terrace upstair is super nice and the caffee downstairs too. But if you don’t wanna get bitten by bed bugs - take some other hostel.

Fantastic place. The staff are super friendly and take an active role making sure you’re figuring out Bangkok and meeting people and comfortable. They lead some sort of adventure in the city every day which is a great way to meet people. James and Nita in particular were super hosts. I’ll stay here whenever I’m back in Bangkok.

Amazing hostel - friendly staff, comfortable beds, CLEAN bathrooms, good air-conditioning, what more can a traveler ask for? Highly recommend this place - they even have an amazing coffeeshop on the ground floor which is open to the public. Many people stop by here for coffee after walking around the markets of Chinatown.

Very cool Hostel in the mids of Chinatown. I recommend it 100% it’s clean, central and you get a good nights sleep. Unfortunately it’s not a very social Hostel as a lot of digital nomads resided there when we stayed. The people working there are very chill and absolutely amazing!

This is a very clean and new hostel in Bangkok. The building was renovated or new. They have elevators to get you up to the fifth floor where all the dorms are and everything is well-built solid and for the most part quiet. I stayed in the dormitories as I often do as I cycle around the world and make my YouTube videos. But I found it very nice and the staff was extremely kind. One of the greatest features of this place is the upstairs bar where you can have breakfast in the morning or sit with your laptop and work on the rooftop. It’s very relaxing very comfortable very clean with a lot of friendly people

Very clean and smart considering the cheap cost. Staff spoke very good english and offered good local knowledge. Rooftop bar has a good atmosphere and had live music all three nights I was there.

I didn’t like the breakfast…. It’s included but I left the place cause I couldn’t eat the same thing everyday. The toast is completely soggy, so it’s not really a toast, it’s a soft bread…. The breakfast don’t include coffeeee!!!!!! You have to pay for it and it’s around 80baht….. Also the quantity of the breakfast is very small.. you can’t repeat, they give you a dish and that’s it. Very disappointing, specially for a place that has their own cafe (open to the public too, not just guests). The second reason I left is cause every morning the cleaning ladies simply open the door of the room, switch on the lights and TURN OFF the AC, at 11am sharp. I felt like I was in a camp that wakes the kids up at a specific time and that’s it. Felt disrespected.. you cannot sleep without the AC cause the room has one small window for 24 people for example…. That was very annoying, felt like I couldn’t choose how much I wanted to sleep everyday. Also, there’s only one bathroom and it’s in a specific floor. Your room could be in different floors so you have to use the stairs all the time. Lastly, I felt that it was a bit antisocial hostel.. at least when I was there. Very very chilled, so if you trying to make friends this might not be your spot. The location is good, wifi works, the ladies in the reception are lovely and the beds are super comfortable.

The place is very nice! It’s perfect if you’re smart working, but it’s good also for a stay in Bangkok! It’s in the heart of China town, despite the road being very quiet at night it’s one minute walking to the street food stalls. Last but not least, the staff is so nice and cute!

Very nice staff, comfortable beds (we had an AC room), amazing location! Favourite neighborhood in Bangkok! Only negative aspect are the bathrooms- the upstairs shower and toilet are in the same cabin ( there are two of them) and the toilet couldn't be used a lot of the time because there was shower water splashed all over it. There are two toilets on the first floor which don't have that problem.

Bit in a back alley - you need to use a map to get here. Bed are comfortable, the 24 bed dorm is ok, but it's lacking a space and if you get the bed next to the door it can be noisy. There's great working area. All the digital nomad and remote workers are here from the early morning 🤣 Rooftop bar is nice. Good drinks and good vibes. Place just round the corner from all the action - Chinatown and all the street food you can imagine

The staff at Luk Hostel are undoubtedly the heart and soul of this wonderful establishment. Their genuine friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile truly set them apart. Whether it was providing local recommendations, assisting with travel arrangements, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their dedication to ensuring a memorable stay was evident in every interaction. The hostel itself is impeccably maintained, with modern and stylish decor that creates a comfortable and contemporary ambiance. The common areas are spacious and well-designed, providing ample opportunities for socializing with fellow travelers. The communal kitchen is fully equipped and kept clean, allowing guests to prepare their own meals if desired.

Had 2 days in Bangkok , I and my bestfriend chose this hostel and we had suchhh an amazing time here. Its not a party hostel but its not a sober bare minimum hostel either. Its got the right balance. The beds were nice , the bathrooms were clean , not a fan of the cloth drying system , but I loved everything else. It was my first time in a tourist hostel. The people we met here were so kind and we made friends we wish to always stay in touch with. Its a good place overall. The breakfast was lovely and the location is fun. Chinatown has good places to eat , night markets and you get to alot of places under 20 min drive.

Great hostel. Staff were very friendly and performed live music most nights. Clean rooms and a great rooftop bar. Perfect place to stay if you want a chill hostel but still be able to find good people to go out with. Highly recommend.

We got a private room and it was perfect, the bed was really hard to sleep on though and the bathrooms are full of mold in the ceiling

Nice hostel right next to Chinatown/Yaowarat road. They have a sky bar. The view is average but the ambiance is really nice. The music and general vibe is pretty chill and well decorated. The staff and guests are all pretty nice.

I like that they try to reduce plastic waste. They use lotus and banana leaves instead of plastic boxes for take away food. Rise Cafe offers many single dishes that suitable for lunch. The atmosphere of the Cafe in the afternoon is quite relaxing even the location is in the middle of the busy market.

Good place to stay, closed to Yaowarat and MRT Wat Mangkorn

I can't comment on a stay there as I didn't use the facility. The thing is that if you want to go to the roof top bar, you have to go up to the 5th floor where the reception of the hostel is then climb up the stairs to reach the roof top coffee shop. The entire building looks neat, the reception is lovely, lots of red and dark colors, very warm atmosphere.

Front desk Staff were amazing!! Stayed in the 24 bed dorm...pod "like" beds which allowed some privacy. Not much of a night scene and seemed to attract more of a....how do I say this kindly....snooty traveller. Hard to find but worth the search. Killer location in the heart of China Town....but away from the party scene of Khaosan Road. Highly recommend this place!!

Honestly the best hostel I have ever been in! Staff are super super friendly and have been truly amazing with everything! I extended my time here by an extra day as I've enjoyed the atmosphere at the hostel so much!

This place is just amazing. The beds are really comfy and soft. The curtain gives you privacy. Also every bed has a small foldable table. The bathroom is big, modern and clean. Check-in experience was flasless and the staff is really welcoming. Breakfast is so extensive. There's toast, jam, cereals, eggs and more. The value is really good. They're almost underselling themselves.

We came here for a coffee and some snacks, at their beautiful cafe. The cafe is very clean and so is the sitting area. The service was quick and excellent. Drinks were perfect. Withstood should use less plastics, especially for stay in drinks.

This is definitely one of the best hostels that I have been in my whole trip so far. Excellent crew, great installations, great breakfast, amazing bed and fair fare. The wibe of the place is another point to highlight...and all of these things in the heart of China Town. Enjoy your stay! Guys, I will definitely stay with you again. Thanks for everything.

  • 5/5 Georgina P. 1 year ago on Google
I highly recommend this hostel, it's located in Chinatown, which is really interesting to explore and also very close to the metro/pier. The installations are really new, everything is clean, there's a lovely common area, pretty big and equipped with everything, so if you need to work/do computer time is excellent. They have a nice terrace to hang out as well. The crew are really friendly and let you stay after checking out if you have some hours to kill.

The hostel nice and clean. Consider new as what i heard from front desk, they opened on 2019 but due to pandemic period forced to close for 2 years so they just reopened recently. Nice and friendly front desk. The dorm bed is comfy and tidy. The room is quiet, can sleep very well. The location pretty convenient, just near to market and a lot of foods you can eat especially at night the most hapenning food street. Short walking distance to MRT Mongkon.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great hostel with a very friendly atmosphere. The place wasn't too loud at all and was still very fun. 10/10 would recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was perfect. The people, hosts, location, rooms - everything is amazing. The best part is that they organize multiple activities too. Would definitely recommend!

  • 4/5 Emily F. 1 year ago on Google
Very Clean space and bathrooms are nice and rooftop area to work is a vibe. Many people working so good place if you’re working as you go. The single room still shares the bathroom. Only issue I had was as a woman traveling alone that in the single room there was no peephole on the door which is an important consideration for safety and the door didn’t properly lock.

  • 3/5 Chelsea _. 1 year ago on Google
Not a bad hostel, wouldn’t say the best hostel in bangkok that I’ve stayed in, but it was good for a night or two. The beds are super private and have a light and charging spot. There wasn’t really any type of atmosphere, there’s a roof top bar but not a single soul is up there socialising. So I wouldn’t recommend for a solo traveler. Little difficult to find because of China Town just being so hectic.
