Amazing Park right on the centre of Bangkok accessible by train and bus networks. Easily walkable from a lot of hotels and residences nearby. Lovely to see lot of locals doing group exercises and their fitness routines. There's a big enough playground for kids to unwind. We also spotted some interesting creatures, such as: - Asian monitor - friendly Cats - Turtle - various kinds of Birds

Cat paradise! Bring a bag of cat food for them as most of them are rather skinny. Friendly felines that let you pet them, one even climbed onto my lap bag! Park was nice, full of greenery and fresh air. Best to come early morning or late evening when it's not that hot. BEWARE of land monitor lizards as they are sneaky and super quiet. Crows too.

What a lovely place to get away from the noise and the bustle of Bangkok. We spent several hours just relaxing and walking around the lake and enjoying the various facilities. Well worth a visit for quite relaxing time

The park is huge and really beautiful. You can have a picnic there. Take a book and read. Walk around. It is an amazing place to take pictures. There is a playground for the kids as well as kayaking and paddle boats for the whole family to enjoy. You can also just sit on the grass or sit on any of their many benches and tables.

A Canadian Tourist Review: The perfect park to go for a run or join some sort of exercise group. It's easy to get lost in this park as my girlfriend and I couldn't find each other for about 15 minutes. Basketball, soccer, gyms, and aerobics are all here. A stream runs through the park too. Take the metro to get here then you just have to do one careful crossing at the intersection. I hope to come back here again!

A nice place to take a break from the hectic of Bangkok City. There are a lot of trees in the this park. The pathway is clear and nice to walk and jog around. The air is fresh and breathable. The traffic is noise is hard to be heard from this park, which is quite good. There are several stalls selling food and drink for joggers in this park. The best time to visit this park should be in the morning where the air is fresh and cooler.

Nice big park in the middle of Bangkok. No cars are permitted, which is nice, but there are big roads all over the park, which means there's a bit too much concrete. Extra star for the amazing lizards, some of which are several feet large!

Lumpini Park is home to a variety of animals and plants. It can be accessed via mrt or bts. Because it is a very large park, there are several entrances. You can see numerous animals such as various birds, cats, water monitors, etc. Water monitors are very large, and unless stimulated, they live their lives and don't seem to be very interested in humans. There are many stray cats, but they do not avoid human touch. If you just pat it, it may lie down. Sometimes, they sleep peacefully in the shade under the chairs of the security guards at the entrance. Every time I go, I always see a cat. I don't know much about birds, but my friend who accompanied me said that there are several species. Judging by their calls and appearance, there are several strange birds. There is a lake, and after passing the bridge, you can see various scenery, and you can ride a duck boat. There is also an area with a playground for children. When it is meal time, a market opens at the entrance to the park. There are many people jogging, walking, lying on the grass, etc., but it is very hot during the day. And if you want to enjoy Lumpini Park more, we recommend taking your time and looking around. An event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Red Cross was held here, and I learned that Lumpini Park is quite large. It's a really nice park to come and relax at your leisure. A park with charm both during the day and at night.

Lumphini Park has been a priority on my itinerary since the early stages of planning. City parks always hold a special appeal for me. Located in the heart of Bangkok, Lumphini Park is a serene oasis that offers a welcome escape from a bustling city like Bangkok. The park is impeccably maintained, boasting abundant greenery, a lake, and a range of recreational facilities. It's a delightful sight to witness both locals and tourists engaging in leisurely strolls or invigorating jogs against this natural backdrop. One charming aspect that caught my attention was the presence of numerous cats—wandering, yearning, and peacefully napping at nearly every corner of the park. Their presence adds a unique and endearing touch to the overall atmosphere. While Lumphini Park may not rival the vastness of Central Park, its decent size ensures that you can always discover a quiet spot to unwind and escape the city's hustle. The park's dimensions strike a balance, offering a peaceful retreat without being overwhelming.

Monitor lizards in the water and on the walkways. I would never bring a blanket and have a nap here nor would I rent a paddle boat! Not a lot of shade away from the water and nowhere to buy a drink or find a toilet. Granted, we only walked half-way through so the other end may be better. This park feels sad and neglected and needs to have litter removal.

Very beautiful to stroll around or do some sports. I visited lumphini Park several times before and I like the atmosphere and the possibility to do some sports. Old people sitting together and enjoying the view or young people taking a walk together. You can often see special events or shows taking place in the park. Also a lot of animals are found in the garden area like giant lizards cats and birds. If you need some quiet time from Bangkok come here for a bit of peace.

This was one of the highlights of Bangkok. The monitor lizards are everywhere and they're super cool. In the middle of the park there are the playground for the kids. And for like a half hour you can get a paddle boat for free and paddle into the middle of the lake and watch the monitors swim right by you. It was super super cool and all of us enjoyed it. But we tend to be more nature people and we love to seek out local flora and fauna wherever we go. The fact that this was free even better. And trust me a half hour was enough in the heat.

A tranquil place to wind down from the hustle-bustle of the city. This park offers everything for the visitors. We can spot beautiful big lake, lush greenery with various flowers, jogging track for the runners, walking path for pedestrians, free boat pedal to rent for visitors. And don’t miss the range of exotic animals here. Water monitor, cute turtles, stork until the magnificent crow inhabit this grand park. The cleanliness and serenity are spot on! I’d like to visit more often in my next visit.

A very nice park to walk, run or cycle. It is very clean and quite spacious. I've seen many people do their step classes, Tai Chi and other forms of the arts in this park. The backdrop consists of small ponds, flowers, trees and an array of birds, lizards and cats. I enjoyed doing my morning walk in this beautiful park.

Stunning park to relax, walk, workout, people watch it play with the kids. The main thing to remember is it is Hot and super hot in the afternoon so go early. Two parks join each other so you can make a whole day of it if you plan well. Monitor lizards come out of the water to check things out. Please do not feed or approach them. Just take their picture and move along. Definitely visit this beautiful respite area.

Famous place for runner. There a lot of people running in the morning and evening. Many cat a long the park, some are cute. There are kayak and paddle boat for free. You must try!Crow are a bit violent sometime. They dove pass my head really fast and loud. The evening view on the lake when you can kayaking is beautiful, you can go with your partner to spend romantic day together. There several big lizards in the park too.

What a treasure in amongst this crazy vibrant city, Bangkok. You must visit Lumphini Park if you ever come to Bangkok. Beautiful, well kept Park to stroll in and just enjoy the beauty of nature. Awesome to see the monitor lizards too and a variety of birds and even some very friendly and super content cats. You can even take a free ride on one of the Swan paddle boats or kayaks which is so cool! A couple of small shops at either end of the park that sell drinks and food also. We will definitely visit again 😊

Peace and tranquility in the center of Bangkok. Excellent walking running and bicycling paths. Workout areas with free weights. Bonus: Cats everywhere! Be on the lookout for Ross the cat. Minor celebrity. His pin and hang out area are also on Google maps.

Beautiful green space. There’s a festival in the making there so some of the areas were closed off for renovations. Too bad, I will not be in Bangkok when the festival takes place. It must be just as beautiful at night with all the string lights on the big trees. Lots of people walk through, picnic, paddle boating, running, and simply just taking in the view.

Lumphini Park (also known as the "Central Park" of Bangkok) is situated right in the centre of Bangkok, Thailand. It is a huge park where you can do lots of activities like cycling, jogging, exercising, aerobics, etc. t's got everything from a youth center with different facilities, cycling track, ample space for runners and also for regular visitors there's plenty of space to relax and spend a few hours. There is a small lake too in which there are lots of fish and you can also rent a boat to have a boating experience. You can spot a lot of animals like Monitor Lizard, different types of birds, cats, etc. There are also small shops inside this park where you can have small snacks and water. Overall it is a must visit place for an hour or two.

Excellent park in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Lots of greenery with several different varieties of trees and flowers. Lots of wildlife around the park, with fish in their giant lake and monitor lizards roaming freely too. Turtles can also be seen relaxing in the sun. A great place to go to see some wildlife and just relax. It's a nice place to come in the evening and go for a run with a lot of the locals. Drinks shops are available inside too. There is also an outdoor gym although it is a little run down. One of the best parks in Bangkok.

Here is a large and quiet green space in the middle of the bustle of Bangkok. The lake and the green and secluded space here are wonderful. I even saw martial arts exercising in a corner. It was great for me to walk in this lovely place because I did not feel tired after all the walking. Alireza's suggestion for a walk in Bangkok is here.

This one is my favorite park in Bangkok. It has a lot to offer. Many tourists can be found here exploring and jogging in the morning. A lot of locals come here to do exercise and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the wonderful environment. Fun Fact: Don't run away when you see water monitor swimming in the water that you might think it as a crocodile! It can happen, trust me🤣

I love it - the energetic 'green lung' at the centre of the dusty city. the diversity amazed me; I saw hardcore runners, casual joggers like me, and even people exercising in wheelchairs. many run with simple t-shirts and pants, and some put fashion-in-the-run. people of all races and ages, from 3 to 83 ! not to mention the beautiful city views around the park. must come especially in the early morning, whether you are a Bangkokian or a tourist nearby !

Lumpini Park, the “Central Park” of Bangkok. Well maintained and Beautiful landscape. Lots of activities and best place to exercise. Bring water or buy at kiosk as all water fountains were removed due to Covid. Join the free mass aerobics at 5-6pm. Lots of fun. For those who come here for exercise, you could change at toilets, leave your belongings at the toilet guard with only 5 Baht. The toilets have showers as well… very convenient!

Visited this lovely park recently. Very picturesque with public (free) toilets. We managed to find shady areas because the sun was strong on the day. However the total star attraction of this park are the Monitor Lizzards that live and roam freely around the water. Some of them are quite big possibly 1.5 metres long. What an amazing surprise. Well worth the visit. Don't worry about them, they are quite docile but better not to get too close and personal, it's their home after all. With regards to taking dogs here, not sure if they are OK to roam freely because the monitors live here.

I used this park for running when I visited Bangkok for traveling solo, but the park was amazing. It had a cycling lane along the road inside the park, which is about 2.5km long and it is for not only cycling but also walking or running. There are no signals for stop like on the streets, so you don’t have to be bothered! In the city of Bangkok, it was hard to find the places suitable for running because of traffic or road structure, so it may be helpful for those who are enthusiastic about running. I’d definitely recommend it.

It is okay but not must have to see. A great place to escape the crowded and noisy streets of Bangkok. It's clean, quite big and nice to relax. You can see turtles, monitors and more animals. If you want to run or do some strength training there are a lot of possibilities. Two gym, 2 calisthenics parks and a good walkway to run. You could as well go for a ride with the pedal boat, it's free. There are multiple toilets and they are clean! Enjoy the stay.

Lovely peaceful park within the busy Bangkok city. No dogs allowed. Lots of people exercising and enjoying the park. Bathrooms, small little shop and a few food carts. Some bike riders go a little too fast so just becareful near the bike path.

Great park with ample access to public transport network. The park is an ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy city and be within nature. Plenty of activity for those looking to do sports related activity. Pedestrians beware if you’re walking in the running tracks as they’re very popular. Great place to watch local wildlife too, especially fascinating to watch the monitor lizards go about their business.

It’s probably the largest park in Bangkok, the one you have to visit for sure. Especially if you like lizards - there are huge amount of them! Just grab your telephoto camera and spend there all day, watching them in the natural habitat. There are also plenty of cats. It seems like cats and lizards don’t like each other and control their own territories. It’s basically a constant war between them. Recommended!

A beautiful, peaceful place to walk around, with Komodo dragons to boot! Don’t get too close! My one criticism is a certain section has a number of cats and some look in dire need of vet care. Made me quite sad that no one cares enough that lives there to take them or get them spayed/neutered.

The park is located next to the metro station so it is easily accessible. It is a must see place in Bangkok. Beautiful nature in the heart of the city. One note: be aware of the huge lizzards. They are not agressive, just do not get surprised because sometimes you can not even recognise them at the trees, and in the grass. The only problem we had is there is not to many benches to sit down, and pretty uncomfortable.

Beautiful green spaces for a lovely morning or evening walk in the concrete jungle of Bangkok...it's big and enough space for jogs, runs and exercise. COVID-19 restrictions are in place so you have to keep your mask on all the time. There are big monitor lizards there...saw 1 swimming by. Alot of human friendly cats around so if your an animal lover do carry some treats for them n enjoy feeding them with responsibility. Lots of lovely colourful flowers too a treat to the eyes. By far one of the best parks in Bangkok. It's got everything from a youth center with different facilities, cycling track, ample space for runners and also for regular visitors there's plenty of space to relax and spend a few hours. The are many monitor lizards and turtles lurking in the ponds of this park.

A wonderful park right in the heart of Bangkok and worth a visit to walk around and enjoy some P and Q but it isn’t very quiet. Lots of small things going on from Thai Chi to cycling and the odd runner. It could do better re cleanliness but it isn’t dirty. A lot of places selling coffee seemed closed and down at heel to us but maybe that’s us.

Fantastic place for taking a break and enjoying the time with your love one or meditate or just watch the fountain while listening birds singing in the heart of Bangkok. Lots of various trees, plants and animals... I loved every moment I spent there 🥰

A city park that provides a delightful green space to walk through in an otherwise very busy, and noisy city. We walked through the park, stopping occasionally on a conveniently provided bench, to enjoy the view. The monitor lizards are something I hadn't seen before. Interesting statues and other artworks to see. The lakes make the space feel cool. Well worth a visit.

Amazing place!!! Definitely a place to see monitor lizards, they’re huge!! Many activities to do + paid parking close by (opposite of chulalongorn hospital). Free duck boats all day. Many friendly cats, so please bring them some food. Many crows. Good place to picnic if the weather in Thailand is less hot.

Great place to come for a jog and enjoy the sunshine. It is very busy and packed with joggers, which I actually enjoy cause you have a bunch of people to run with and use to pace yourself. There is also monitor lizards everywhere so you get the adventure of running into one of these dinosaurs every once and a while. There are also cats everywhere, I’ve noticed a lot of the locals come here and feed the cats.

Love this place! Bike lanes and running paths are a plenty. Gardens and exercise areas are well maintained. There are lots of stores selling refreshments so you can stay hydrated while you do your workouts. You can bump in to a lot of wildlife too haha... birds, cats and even lizards! Overall, this place is awesome!

One of the nicest park in Bangkok. I regret not coming here earlier. If you come to Bangkok, make sure to visit this park in the morning. Park is so clean and quiet . Enough space to spend quality time with your loved one

Really liked the park. Our first visit we were told by a local guy outside it was closed for cleaning which was just not true. Why do they do that? Went twice again,. Its an oasis in the middle of bangkok, get a picnic and sit and enjoy the calm. Couldn't find a food place, maybe there was somewhere but we didn't find it, and chill. Apparently the boating is free. Oh and spot the giant lizards that live in and around the lakes there, they are amazing and very tame.

Beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. Looks big run down but things are functional. Quite huge and plenty of places to run and for kids to play too. Many gates to enter and exit so it's convenient.

Lumphini Park offers an urban oasis in bustling Bangkok. Serene lakes, lush greenery, and jogging paths provide a peaceful escape. The park's size allows for both relaxation and recreational activities. Whether you're into tai chi, paddle boating, or simply unwinding by the lake, Lumphini Park is a must-visit for a tranquil retreat amid the city's chaos.

I thoroughly enjoyed my walk around the park. Some great bird life, water monitor lizards, gorgeous gardens and generally a beautiful city park. Clean, bathrooms, and a free 30 min paddleboat loan. Dogs not allowed.

One of my favorite places in Bangkok. I recommend also using the sky walk to go to the other park. It's a nice walk with good views and both parks are worth visiting
