USE TO BE A GREAT AREA TO SPEND TIME. Sadly, since covid the place has dried up quite a bit. I'll include lots of photos of the surrounding area and give you some tips. Okay, this is a tourist area, but it's highly visited by locals so it's a nice place to visit without all the hassles of hucksters. Easy to find and the bus lines (pictured) dead end right at the entrance to Yodpiman Riverwalk. If you read my reviews you'll notice that I prefer public transportation. If you like to stroll around, this might be the place for you. Early in the morning theres almost no one at the landing dock areas and Maha Rat Rd. is almost vacant. You can leisurely walk around the docks and spend all day on Maha Rat. Maha Rat is the main road on the East side of Chao Phraya. Infinite number of things to see and do there. Photos are included beyond Yodpiman and the surrounding area because it's truly a beautiful and interesting area, but go up past the Naval area and toward the Amulet market and you'll find any number of hawkers. This is a better breed of hawker that won't trouble you, but now you've been advised. Everything photographed here is within a thirty minute walk. I encourage you to study Google maps at a close up level. YODPIMAN market itself is truly 99.9% Thai (photos included) Fruit, Vegetable and Flower street and covered markets. I don't get the flower fascination, but my wife buys them occasionally for religious purposes. Apparently they all do, it's a cultural thing. SIDE NOTE -Unless your into some seriously kinky stuff I'd advise staying away from that Naval Club (pictured). Nice place, but deeply twisted.

Yodpiman River Walk can travel by boat or use the MRT at Sanam Chai (BL31) Also you can get by the boat ticket Chao Phraya Tourist Boat. Also you can by fresh vegetable and flower market. You can walk to visit the the old city and the temple in this area.

Look like the excitement has now faded and many shops have moved elsewhere. Parking seems to be a major problem and it’s a bit difficult to get here. Nevertheless, it’s still a good shopping village with restaurants in a great location, facing the Chaophaya river and close to Saphan Phut bridge.

Lovely terrace boardwalk by the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok. Has a number of restaurants from which you can watch the sun set over the temples across the river.

This is the place where you board the river cruise, there are also restaurants along the Pier, there is also a big wholesale market distributing flowers nearby Cruise along the river to see the night scene, a great experience to try out in Bangkok.

Lots of places to choose to eat and relax here. On the river front it's beautiful and behind it there is the more traditional parts of Bangkok. You can access this place by boat very easily. Great place to eat, chill and enjoy the view.

Very hot with limited seating space during light show (loy krathong) period. Hard to get in due to traffic in small street and not worth the hassle for typical lantern setups available with better flare in air-conned or alcohol-available places of entertainment.

😐 If you are a local electrician then this is a place for you to get parts. But if you are reading this then you are not so stay away. These vultures will rip you to the bone with overpriced parts and selling outdated garbage for top price. Things that sell online for 100 baht cost 450 here. Atm hard...
