They force you to wear a mask during all workouts, even intense cardio sessions where science has shown this to be dangerous & the WHO (World Health Organization) recommends against it. By the end of your workout, your mask is completely drenched in sweat, making it even more of a risk to catch bacteria or suffocate you during your work out. Wish I could get a refund for my membership because of this.

Nice gym but nobody speaks english except the arrogant indian owner. Took them 1 hour to give me a price. No discount if you pay the whole year the first day. You need a credit card, because debit cards and cash are not accepted (first time i see that ahaha). FitnessFirst all the way😊

It's a really nice and large gym; trainers are great and the courses are also really cool. I give 5 Stars for the people working there. Unfortunately, the Steam / Ice Room Area is a mess. The Steam-Room is stingy / smelly and the Ice-Room doesn't exist. You have to fix the Ice-Room and remove this AC (like from a meat packing factory) where cables are sticking out to the side, blowing wind in one direction. Nobody is using the ice room, because it isn't an ice room - This should be your TOP PRIORITY to fix it; if it's too expensive to fix it or run it with ice; don't offer it and lower the membership price. Another annoying problem is that you have to wear a mask 😷 all the time, even though you're vaccinated. There are 10 people inside the Pilates Room or 6 people next to each other on the treadmill for more than 30 Minutes - Wearing a mask will not prevent you from getting sick. Cleaning and desinfecting training equipment is also not my responsibility as a paying member (80$ + a month). I have been a member for 2 years and the Virgin Branches are getting worse and worse every month. Next year I'm going with Fitness First Platinum - Thank you. I sincerely hope you fix all of the issues mentioned above, because at one point, Virgin Active in Bangkok was the absolute best gym in the city 😢

It’s such a shame!!! They ask to do workout use face mask!! Hey, come on, ask any doctor they will tell you it’s dangerous. I will never come back to this place. It’s so ridiculous.

My wife called to ask how much membership is and was told it would be around 3,000 per month. When I went in I was told it's over 6,000 per month. A waste a time that could have been prevented if the sales clerk was honest with us :(

Probably the best club to join if you're living close to the EmQuartier or any of the other locations. During my membership I have never had to wait for machines and classes have generally been available on short notice although its always good to book well in advance just in case. The club supports MyWellness QR codes but that works with Apple Health but unfortunately doesn't support Apple Watch workouts yet. Membership fees are a bit confusing, and the reason for the missing 5th star is because when signing up for a "Limited" membership (6:00am to 3pm, Mon-Fri) they forgot to mention that it applies to Public holidays as well, making the "Limited" membership kind of useless as there are just so many public holidays in the Kingdom of Thailand. Unless you're on a really tight budget, go for the "All access" membership that also gives access to any of the other clubs in Thailand and abroad as well I believe. Service vice, especially if you're new to the gym, I would recommend the Empire Tower location as they really go the extra mile and have much more staff to help you out during your workouts. Aqua Fitness classes there are just amazingly fun and teachers are top notch, five stars to them.

I am not sure why they said there is free trial. They were kind however they do not offer free trial at all. They gave you tour before they are telling the price and you just have to leave without trial. They should not advertise free trial if they want to sales peach so hard like this.

Not tourist friendly pricing. Minimum of 3 months obligation….or daily for a hefty price. You can get a monthly membership at other gyms equal to the cost of 2 days here at Virgin.

Arranged a trial. I was told to sit down and that someone would be with me shortly. I waited l 30 minutes and watched people who arrived after me get served / arranged trials. Considering the price of this place, you’d expect much better service than this. Edit: I’m also sorry to see that Virgin copied and pasted a canned response. I’ve lived in Bangkok for 10+ years and have very simple needs. I’m looking forward to finding a gym that doesn’t leave guests waiting for 30 minutes, treats customers equally (your staff member was being hit on by three bros who undercut me in line and were asking her out for beers), and just has a decent treadmill. Of all of the virgins this is easily the best one. Clean facilities with excellent staff and customer service. Our favorite activity here is the beautiful indoor pool. Gotta love virgin gyms! -World Champion approved

It’s a nice gym but for a man that’s into bodybuilding I’d choose another gym. It’s more of a fitness style gym. I did like the steam room.

I've had a great experience in my first week. The facilities are very nice and well kept. Bella explained everything about the membership to me very clearly and was super helpful during the introduction process and tour. The personal trainer David has been extremely professional and kind in explaining things to me as I learn to proper lifting form, and focus on doing things correctly. David really cares about his clients and I feel like I''m in great hands here!

Great location, reasonably decent line-up of classes. The towels are abundant, the staff is friendly in the reception area, and the locker rooms/showers are spacious. Misses are on 1) general cleanliness and 2) maintenance. For the premium, there shouldn't be sweaty cycling machines or bugs in the shower. On the maintenance, machines are often out-of-order for extended periods; despite reporting it as broken, there is the "mai pen rai" attitude. Recently I have reported a bike broken to 4 different people over three weeks, and it's still not fixed. Even one genius instructor tried arguing with me saying not to place so much weight on it... instead of calling maintenance to have it fixed. Last year when I left for Christmas break, two of the hair-dryers were broken and still broken when I returned two months later (despite reporting it). If they improved the maintenance would be 4-star, and had earlier opening hours on the weekend would be hands-down 5-star.

Great gym with amazing pool, hydro, and well equipped even for serious lifters. Besides that, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly Definitely recommend the investment on personal trainers to more detailed guidance, efficient results and focused sessions. I was lucky enough to be coached by David, and would recommend him anytime

Huge gym, and its not even the biggest in bkk!

This gym is top-notch with sufficient equipment for intermediate lifters, providing dumbbells up to 42kgs and deadlift bumpers to around 200kgs. The environment is clean and well-maintained, and it’s complimented by the friendly and supportive staff who are always there to assist.

Gym is huge (3 levels) and well equipped with machines and free weights. I'd recommend the 3 months 1 week once membership if you're staying for at least a month. Positive vibe overall.

One of the best gyms in Bangkok. Updated equipment, plenty of free weights and an area for Olympic type lifts as well. Wide array of classes, a spin room, 3 lane lap pool, and a super clean locker area. If you just happens to forget to bring workout clothes, they have them for you at the locker area!!! Highly recommended.

Just personal opinion, but a little too soft and pretty for my taste. But still a very good gym.

This gym is a over priced garbage If you not gonna use all the amenities this place have to offer and only using weight and cardio section , they have enough free weight however the section ls very small compared to rest of the gym and get so busy at rush time, there is a massive cardio section and they dont have a pec deck machine. I paid 15000 bth for 3 months and even if i get a yearly contract its still expensive because i only use weight and cardio and their weight section is very average at best .bottom line is if you gonna use everything this gym have to offer then the price is good but if you only using weight and cardio there are so many better options than this place in bangkok for a better price. Personally i wouldnt come back to this place when my 3 months is finished and definitely wont recommend it at all. My actuall rating of this place 2 out of 10.
