The palace is a place where you get caught with time travelling. Omit the muzeum. The houses are nicely decorated especially the house-in-a-house, the story about the boat from a 19 meters log, the musical room etc. Thanks to the Prince and Princes. Without their effort we will not be able to travel back to old days. How house was made in A shape, bridges connecting houses. I don't have words to describe. The guide ask me to go to another two places if I love to know more. Surely I will. You guys, for a 100 baht you get a special guide to tell you the history in a special way for easy understanding.

It's location is just the oasis in a scorching hot center of Bangkok. Entrance is 100THB, there are 8 traditional houses. We've been accompanied by very well English speaking museum staff, which at the end of an hour tour rewarded with 200THB as she was really sharing the knowledge with a passion. Otherwise the entire museum has very well described items, history in English. So, if you're not curious and read is enough for you that's sufficient. Enough toilets. Some expositions are air-conditioned, some obviously not. Shoes has to be taken off for entrance to the houses but bags are provided. Oasis.

I walked by this Museum many times already but never made it to look inside. Today I took my chance and walked in. I had to pay 100 B This price includes a guide, showing me around. Unfortunately they don't allow pictures or photos inside the houses. Especially one building is extremely beautiful inside. So you need to come and look for yourself. Smile

🍯 If you have been to the Bangkok National Museum, visiting this museum may be a bit disappointing. In the first hall of the museum, there are very valuable clay jars and pots that were unearthed during archaeological excavations in Ban Chiang, which is located in northeastern Thailand. There are beautiful patterns on these pots. This hall, which contains many antique historical artifacts, is very interesting, but you are not allowed to take photos inside. 🏠 Afterwards, you can visit the two-storey wooden houses built in accordance with traditional Thai architecture in the garden. Various items are exhibited on both floors of these houses. It is very good that some of the houses have air conditioning on the ground floor. 🥁 I really liked the house where musical instruments are exhibited on the ground floor. In another house, information is given about the Ramakien, the Thai version of the Ramayana, but unfortunately the device that animates a war here does not work. I think that the museum needs a general renovation. The museum can be made more interesting with some simple changes. For example, some of the writings under the exhibited items are very difficult to read. Despite some of its shortcomings, I like the museum in general.

Worth a trip. Three minutes walk from the skytrain and airport link. Nicely landscaped garden smack in the middeling bangkok. Fine private collection professionally displayed with English explanation.

Off the beaten tourist path but very nice. A collection of 8 vintage Thai houses now turned into a quaint museum. Gives you a real feel for architecture. Not crowded which is part of the charm.

A chance to see some beautiful traditional teak housing with antique artefacts as old as 5000 years old. It was a very calming place and we felt it was definitely worth the entrance fee of 100 baht each.

Very beautiful house interior and exterior.Relaxing environmental. But you are not allowed to take any interior picture. You have to put your belongings in the office's locker. Staffs are very polite and welcoming. Overall, worthy to visit. Ticket is only 100 bahts. I will recommend to my friends who are visiting Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok).

Visited the museum which used to be a residence of Prince Paribatra Sukhumbandhu. There are a variety of artifacts from prehistoric to more modern times. Paid 100 baht per person, and the proceeds go to the foundation. We were escorted by a volunteer who is knowledgeable about the displayed items.

A good place, inside there are many exhibits located in about ten halls. I liked it the most The Lacquer Pavilion - small building with awesome gold and black mural paintings. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht. The museum is not very popular, so there are usually not many people here. It is not allowed to take pictures inside the museum, but you can take pictures of the museum territory. The territory of the museum is not very big, but in my opinion it is a good place to rest from the noise of the city and the heat.

For 100 Bht, you can't go wrong. Fascinating and full of art and history. 3 of us got a guided tour, which helped a lot. Others may be bored, their loss. It's 88 F and only two spots are air conditioned. Even the guide complained. I'm from Florida, so not a problem. The 8 buildings are kept exactly like the way they were originally. You tour all the first floors, but then the 2nd story as they are joined with walkways. Be ready to take your shoes off, mostly for the 2nd floor. I looked but saw nothing for people with mobility issues. Beautiful grounds. No photos allowed inside buildings.

Tried looking for a quick getaway nearby out of the busy streets of bkk and found this museum with good reviews. From pratunam, you can ride a tuktuk or grab car. It has 100 baht entrance fee, that comes with free fan 🪭😊 It’s a good museum where they preserved cookery and bronze items during BC and AD era. Felt the zen mode here with well preserved houses, fountains, and greens all around, where you can just sit and relax.

A gem of a museum with wonderful exhibits and an ideal place to spend a couple of hours prior to getting the nearby train (40 baht) to international airport (the museum is on the right side of town for that). A haven of peace with a delightful garden.

Very easy to arrive from Phya Thay BTS station. The garden itself is awesome, with a lot of plants, flowers, wildlife, birds... and the old thai houses make everything look special.

A Prince's and his consort's residence: in case you are looking for some quiet moments in this hectic part of town, this is the place. The buildings house a museum with many valuable artefacts of ancient Siam, a number of rooms showing the presents made to them personally, their living-room, bedroom etc. Today a lady will show you this place and tell you in English about its inhabitants and its history. Before you were allowed to discover it on your own. Enjoy its quietness and atmosphere. You cannot take any photos inside. Before you could. Outside your selfies will reflect the mystical atmosphere of the Cabbage Museum - built in a former cabbage field. The entrance fee is 100 Baht. You need not book your visit. We went there on a weekday and we were the only visitors.

(Translated by Google) The museum is the palace used by the new King and Mrs. Champot Balipat Nakhon Sawan, the grandson of King Rama V. The admission fee is 100 THB. Thai and English guides are included ✨ No photography is allowed, only the exterior can be photographed. It seems that the name of Suan Pakkad Palace comes from the fact that the place of this palace was a cabbage field, but I think it is a mistranslation because Pakcard (ผักกาด) is lettuce 🥬 The traditional Thai architecture made of teak wood was beautiful. Since you have to take off your shoes inside the building, shoes that are easy to take off such as sandals are convenient 👡 Buddha statues, grilled Benjarong, glass gifted from Europe, masks, etc. were exhibited.

(Translated by Google) Suan Pakkad Palace means the imperial palace of the cabbage garden and was once the residence of the grandson of King Rama V. The location of the palace was originally a cabbage garden, hence the name. The palace's architecture is dominated by traditional Thai architecture, and the middle four were built in the 19th century. The collection of the museum is the royal family biography collection and the personal collection of Rama V's grandson. Admire the traditional Thai architecture and some royal exhibits, you can visit.

(Translated by Google) Suan Pakkard Palace Suan Pakkard Palace is located on Ayutthaya Street at the junction of Pattaya Thai Road. This palace is the residence of Princess Chumbot of Nagara Subaga, widely known in Thailand as an art collector. Unlike the Grand Palace, wood is the main material, and there are five Thai-style old houses in it, and there are various ornaments, shells, minerals, and other ornaments that symbolize the kingship. There is an entrance fee of 100 baht if it is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm. It was fascinating that there was a place in the middle of the city where you could admire these quiet old Thai houses.

A hidden gem. More historic and in many ways more beautiful than the famous Jim Thompson house and all the buddhas have heads! We had a private guided tour and there were only a handful of guests in the entire complex.
