The food is ok and they serve you big portions but aside from that, everything was wrong. The VAT is not included in the price of the dishes (is written in small letters at the bottom of the menu pages). The price of the beverages is not written on the menu, to give an idea they charge 5EUR for a beer. Above all that they charge you 10% service fee without asking you for your approval. The waiter was in a hurry, we understand that it was probably a technique to not give us the time to read the small letters on the menu. Would not recommand.

Food 2/5 Service 3/5 Parking 1/5 FAKE REVIEWS My reviews mostly hit hard, honest and difficult to swallow. Most nonsensical food. I have visited here several times when the Indian cheff was in charge. He was creative and came out with new ideas and dishes. (He left) Now all I see is unhygienic environment. Don't believe me, sit on high chairs and watch the kitchen. It's a see through. Few months back while having food, a farang came and started shouting that "I asked for tofu and you gave me chicken instead". My friend and I sorted that problem out by trying to calm him at 2am. But the same thing happened to us when we ordered Veg Pakoda (fried vegetables and potatoes). Moving on .. My friend stayed in Holiday inn and mostly visited here. I never once liked the food. It's a overpriced, budget quality food. If you can spend a little more then there are plenty other options. IMPORTANT - Most of the accounts have about 3 reviews and all are their own restaurants. FAKE REVIEWS DON'T WORK. Read all the reviews of each accounts. Laptop guy certainly didn't wanted to do the hard work, instead created new accounts and posted reviews of their own restaurants hahaha .. The owner owns these 3 restaurants 1) Indian essence art 2) Indian essence art cuisine 3) Baan Tassanee Thai Cuisine SO YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT ALL THESE CUSTOMERS ONLY WENT TO YOUR 3 RESTAURANTS AND NOWHERE ELSE IN BANGKOK. I call it bull.... Lastly, they have been asking us to rate them 5 stars even when the food was not good or that the Dal was salty, they simply said "please rate us 5 stars and we will do better next time". I don't do request if the food is not good. This is my updated honest review. Business will grow if you are kind and the food is great. No need to false brag or beg about it. Maya Restaurant in Holiday Inn hotel has the best Indian food and even they were rated 4/5 and I have rated this place 2/5. Just being nice here. Cheers Restaurants that are way way better: 1)Chaopati soi 13 2) Indus soi 26 3) Amritsari soi 11 4) Banaras soi 13 5) Dosa King soi 11

I thought this place was pretty good. I took my Myammar, Nepali maid along for confirmation, she gave it the nod of approval👍👍 It's a pretty place despite its location, tucked in there at the end of 22 by sukhumvit. Nice art up on the walls, bright and clean. We ate a bunch of stuff, tandoori chicken, which I thought could have been more, tandoori iiiii? 😂 But the chicken was nice, big and meaty. I ordered half a chicken but it came with 2 drumsticks, 🤔🤔😂 Not sure how that works, but I'm no complaining. Paag chicken curry was good, real good Some bean curry my maid ordered, also good. Butter chicken curry, it's so popular out here. I'd never even heard of it back in the states😂😂 it was too sweet for my taste. Saffron rice was OK, not bad and the Naan bread, just OK, bit flat and oily, not like I like it either. All in all, I'd go back, just to try some more stuff!! Oh and they have GIANT MENUS!!! HUUUUGE!!

    1. We had meal at Indian essence art Cuisine last night The service was first rate and the recommendations from our waiter were perfect....so good that we probably overindulged. It's a little expensive for the area but worth it. The live music enhanced the whole experience. 2. We always have late dinner during our stay in Bangkok. It's an Indian Restaurant with great Indian food and live music. The atmosphere was good, and it was a special experience to me. I have been trying Indian cuisines in England, but I didn't have the experience to enjoy the dinner with performance. For me, it was really cool. And the food was really good!!! The taste was more rich and complex. I would recommend my friends to try this restaurant if they come to Dubai. 3. I continued to train my taste buds on eating the wonderful tastes and spices of India here. I´m still learning mutton and enjoyed trying it here. I believe most nights they have live entertainment. Try to hear the live music. He is amazing and it adds a nice spark to the dinner.

Thoroughly enjoyed my evening with friends at charcoal. The food is what we originally went for and we were so impressed. Fun dining with excellent flavors. Added to the food was the clever mix of cocktails which were a surprise and exciting. The interior and atmosphere, with the kitchen in full view, really set a fantastic mood for the night. Will most definitely be going back sometime soon.

Most amazing view of any Indian restaurant I've ever been to... by far! Live music makes for a happy but not silly atmosphere... suitable for most crowd types, except maybe drunken yobs. Service is professional and (quite) friendly amiable. The food is brilliant and is really the highlights of this. decor isn't that great, admittedly.

Authentic indian food art , truly amazing gem of a restaurant. Prices slightly higher but totally worth it for the quality of ingredients and effort in food preparation.we were served free appetizers as well. highly recommend their special dum briyani. Compliments to the chef!

We took friends here for dinner for our anniversary. The food was great.. genuine Indian food … delicious!!! However, I was very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness .. there was no soap or paper, the floor, sink and toilets were filthy, and the menus were sticky to the touch. Although the food was great, this has put me off and j would probably not bring anyone here next time.

TOURIST TRAP, DO NOT GO HERE! Food was good but expensive and when the bill came they charged 5$+ for a beer and 6$+ for a glass of wine (which is outrageously expensive compared to other restaurants in the area) and on top of that they surcharged 20% as their own tip + VAT which was of course not included in the (already expensive) prices totalling 1800+ bath for a 2 person meal with nothing fancy

I started looking for an Indian restaurant being a veterinarian & landed at Indian Essence Art Cuisine but surprisingly it proved to be a boon. Expecting nice food is just too low as expectation. Along with good quality north Indian food it had nice ambiance which included live music performance , good interiors & lot of variety. Although it is little expensive but justifies the cost wrt to location & kind of services it offers

It is very nice to find authentic Indian food in another country. Food was very good me and my friend had a good time with live music and nice ambience. We ordered biryani and butter chicken which was very tasty. Would recommend India Essence Art Cuisine to others as well.

Excellent, both the atmosphere/restaurant and the food. Many thanks to Mr Mintu Kushwaha for his amazing restaurant, who fulfil the craving of authentic Indian food in bangkok. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Indian Essence Art Cuisine easily became our favourite Indian restaurant in Bangkok - there's not another restaurant that even comes close. The location is perfect, with ample parking and easy access. The service and food are perfect - we've never been disappointed. The selection of wine is as good as any Italian restaurant. If you're looking for a change of pace and flavours while in Bangkok, you really should try this.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in BKK. I go there once a month on average. The ambiance, the music, the food are wonderful. PS if you think the music is a little loud, you can request the table behind the band, which i think is the perfect area because it is not so noisy and you were there for the food and not watching the musician anyway. Must try: chicken tikka and palak paneer YUM!

I went to their after several excellent meals in Bangkok, which is a foodie heaven. i was blown away by the creativity and the unusual flavours. They offer a terrific changing set menu from which to choose. The staffs are young and enthusiastic. All in all, menu was an eye-opener, and showing the way forward for fusion food.

A top notch restaurant & a must visit if one loves Indian foods. Restaurant is super clean & ambiance is great too. The taste is awesome. The biryani, we had, was just perfect & must say we rarely had this kind of mouth-watering biryani in a very long time anywhere in any Indian restaurant.

Food was too expensive...too spicy and the taste was ordinary (actually nothing but spices)! Costed me 738 baht for the meal of 2 persons ...for such an expensive meal ...they didn't bother to send a single cutlery item...I paid extra 50 baht to buy cutlery separately! Think hard before placing your order. There are much cheaper and much better other options. Never again.

Never expected great taste of Indian food in Bangkok. We went for a Dinner at this place, i was surprised the taste of food they served complete authentic Indian taste which was greatly liked by my Colleagues. Food was spicy for Thai people but I enjoyed every bite of it. Surely recommend for Indians who are willing to visit this place with family, friends.

  • 3/5 Wes D. 1 year ago on Google
I'm a vegetarian and got the stir fried vegetables and rice. Food was tasty and fresh. I subtract one star for the price, as it is expensive for Thailand. And I subtract another star for not accepting any credit cards, despite the fact that it says on their door both Visa and Mastercard accepted, and the waiter handed me the check in an American Express check holder. Straight out of a comedy skit..lol

Well good option for Indian food . Biryani at its best in Bangkok . If one wants authentic biryani... including Haiderabadi and even Lucknowi ..this is the best place for that . Even chole Bhature is also very tasty 😋. One should visit and taste.

I loved this restaurant always. I have been here many times as it makes you feel you are in India as most of the customer you will find will be Indian. The food is awesome with its huge varieties. I brought some Thai friends here and they couldn't stop eating so many varieties. The food quality is very good and the service is up to the mark.

We started early and the restaurant staff greeted us well. The ambience of the restaurant is great along with a lovely view Sukhumvit. The menu is good and caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The Chef personally attended to us and wanted to understand our preference. Complete fine dining experience. After the dinner the Chef again approached us for feedback and was very humble. It was a very good experience. Totally worth the visit!!

The restaurant had a very classy feel to it, with the food to match. Me and my wife had a great first dining experience especially as it was our first night in Bangkok. The deco and the outside garden looked elegant and created it a very nice ambience. The waiters spoke English and Hindi which made the experience far better. Overall good experience!

A great place for authentic Indian food. The ambience is relaxing, friendly staff, great food quality and prices are fair. Their Chicken Korma is a must try and taste of Beetroot Kebab is really good! If you're in Bangkok and want to Indian food, do visit DHB!

The food was delicious but expensive, I paid 1100 baht. The portion was too big for one person. I got free dessert after I paid the bill. Be aware that prices don’t include VAT and 10% service charge, so you will pay about 17% more on everything you order.

I have lived in Thailand, tried most popular Indian restaurants in Bangkok and beyond... Indian Essence Art Cuisine is simply the best. Very particular cuisine, authentic therefore at times difficult to understand for tourists. But when you eat this food you can't wonder whether it's good or not. You must know it is the best you can have, and learn to appreciate it.

My fav. the new Delhi duty free, give it a try!

The Indian Essence Art Cuisine is a very sumptuous restaurant. Decorated really nicely with a wonderful view of Bangkok. The food is of a very good quality, authentic but not very hot. I got the best courses meal with wine pairing, and (almost) everything was fantastic. They need to get a pastry chef. They also need to hire some more competent servers. A dinner at Indian Essence Art Cuisine is a pleasure for all five senses. The decoration is extremely well planned and thought out, being a welcome change from the drab decor one finds in most Indian restaurants. The kebabs, which are the order of the day here, were perfectly executed and succulent. Enjoy them with some fresh naan and Dal Makhni.
