I
travel
frequently
and
this
is
easily
the
worst
hotel
experience
I
have
ever
had.
I
will
start
by
saying
the
hotel’s
location
isn’t
bad,
but
isn’t
great
(across
the
Nile
from
Zamalek)
and
that
the
breakfast
buffet
staff
was
wonderful,
welcoming,
and
accommodating.
Now
for
the
litany
of
downsides:
If
you
are
a
woman,
exercise
extreme
caution.
The
security
guard
at
the
hotel
entrance
would
whistle
at
me
repeatedly
whenever
I
walked
by.
I
sat
at
the
hotel
restaurant
for
lunch
and
a
woman
(who
said
she
was
not
a
hotel
guest)
tried
to
traffic
me
(yes,
as
in
human
trafficking).
A
male
guest
in
the
hotel
repeatedly
tried
to
solicit
my
female
friend.
There
were
hardly
ever
any
women
in
the
lobby,
which
I
thought
was
odd
when
we
first
checked
in,
and
then
I
realized
why
that
was
the
case.
We
repeatedly
ensured
that
we
had
the
“do
not
disturb”
light
on
in
our
room
and
still,
returned
to
our
room
to
find
cleaning
staff
in
our
room.
They
entered
our
room
unauthorized.
The
entire
hotel
absolutely
reeks
of
cigarette
smoke.
Even
if
you’re
in
a
non-smoking
room,
it
comes
in
through
the
room
vents
and
sticks
to
the
atrocious
carpeting
in
the
room
and
in
the
hallways.
I
got
stuck
in
the
elevator
(the
doors
did
not
fully
open)
for
several
minutes.
I
pushed
the
emergency
buttons
in
the
elevator
and
received
no
assistance.
After
the
elevator
doors
finally
fully
opened
to
the
lobby,
I
informed
security
and
the
front
desk
of
what
happened
and
they
dismissed
me
and
did
not
take
any
action
to
resolve
the
issue.
They
allowed
hotel
guests
to
continue
to
use
the
faulty
elevator.
Prior
to
checking
into
the
hotel,
we
had
paid
for
our
stay
in
full
-
I
even
double-checked
with
Hilton
that
the
stay
was
fully
paid.
Yet,
several
hours
after
we
checked
out
with
the
front
desk,
hotel
staff
began
calling
me
incessantly
on
WhatsApp
via
their
personal
phone
numbers
and
asking
me
to
provide
them
with
my
credit
card
information
as
they
alleged
we
owed
a
balance.
Do
yourself
a
favor
and
do
not
stay
here.
Truly
the
worst
hotel
experience
I’ve
ever
had
-
this
hotel
should
not
bear
the
Conrad
name.
