Like all of Oxford this is a beautiful cathedral and college, but the admission fee is not worth it any longer. There’s plenty other colleges with fees under £5 that actually let you walk around and explore! As a tourist, unless you really wanna see the Harry Potter staircase, it’s not worth it.

A real rarity, a cathedral in a university college. The real treasure is the roof structure so beautifully intricate. Also the stained glass windows, be sure to pick up the pamphlet at the beginning which is a guide to the best windows.

The cathedral is ok but ruined by bureaucracy. You buy tickets online and then are made to queue again and again and the staff seem so overwhelmed with the modicum of power that they have. I would recommend going to Ely instead.

It's a must in Oxford to visit Christ Church College, I would say. Top 1. The audio guide tour for the college including the famous hall is 19 £ and really worthwhile. The evensongs are beautiful and should not be missed.

Beautiful location. Audio tour is a must, much information told which i never knew. We went at the end of november and there was construction almost everywhere we looked, so 75% of the time we had an awe inspiring view. Signage for tour were obscure at some places, causing you to miss whole sections. Guides were available but not at the confusing areas. We went when a ceremony was happening as well and it was pretty neat to see the graduates in their full ceremonial dress.

This was so beautiful!! We did the audio guided tour and the entire campus was beautiful, but the cathedral was the most gorgeous part. There were a couple of spots where you could light candles or pray, and the entire atmosphere was incredibly mystic and soothing.

A must if you visit Oxford. Would be interesting they offer a deeper approach to the importance of this building and the dean during the civil war, and it's role.

I booked a guided tour on line for my husband and I for our anniversary. On the confirmation it gave us a Postcode to the Cathedral and it said to arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour time. We arrived at the postcode with 10 minutes to spare as stated, only to find that there is actually no parking!! Which meant we then needed to find a car park, park and walk to where the cathedral is. By the time we found a space and walked there we were late by around 15 minutes!!! When we finally spoke to the person at the visitors centre he said that we would need to walk across to the Cathedral and see if we could join in on the end of our tour (which would be approximately 5 minutes) When we got to the entrance a young girl told us we could join them. I asked if we could go on the next tour, and she advised us that it was full so we couldn't join them. I told her that we were very disappointed with the fact that no where on their website or on the confirmation did it say that we would need to find a car park and not actually go to the postcode provided. She completely ignored what I had said and said with some attitude "so did you want to go and finish the tour" I was very annoyed at her complete lack of empathy and the fact that she disregarded everything I said. Nevertheless, she took us to where the tour guide was. He spoke for about 3 minutes before saying that the tour was over!! They left, but we decided to stay in the Cathedral and look around without a guide. After about 4 minutes of looking around the man who was doing the previous tour appeared and basically said that we had to leave. My husband explained why we were late and missed our tour time, so he kindly said that he would take us on a small tour of the Cathedral before the next tour was due to start. He was very informative. We thanked him and were grateful for him taking the time to walk us around but also told him of our disappointment with the fact that the website and confirmation was misleading and should be updated to advise customers that they need to find a car park nearby when booking. He agreed and said he would raise this with the person who deals with that. The Cathedral is quite small compared with others that we have visited but the history of the Cathedral is still very interesting. My star rating reflects the bad attitude of the young girl, the fact that due to incorrect information on the website it caused us to miss the tour that we paid £24 for and for spoiling our Anniversary!! :(

Had a small service here in this church. Was good. Small choir and lots of singing and praying. Cathedral is big and looks well-maintained. Only college-cathedral in the world

The founder of Oxford's Frideswide holiday and philosopher John Locke are buried here, Harry Potter and the Golden Compass were filmed here, and every Friday (when there are no holidays) the boys from Christ Church School sing angelically at the assembly. Enjoy.

What an awesome experience visiting this amazing college. It's a place full of history and one of the most important of Oxford and a MUST for every Harry Potter fans since here were filmed some scenes of the fist movie. Highly recommended.

Impressive views, where you can visit some parts where Harry Potter was inspired and some very nice buildings inside. The entrance is around 14£, the only pity is that when we went there the main hall was closed.

Had the privilege to hear a Sung Mass and was charmed by the beauty of the church. A must-see in Oxford, to also walk the surroundings. No pics allowed inside!

Inspirational from an educational perspective, magnificent from an architectural and historical view! There are several links to movie and important literature and the audio guides were top class, informative without being overbearing

Absolutely gorgeous church. I went for a small service in a side Chapel and we were very rudely interrupted in the middle of the service by a tour guide. He was talking very loudly and we could not hear our vicar. We had to ask him three times to be mindful of the service and at the end he didn't wait for us to leave before bringing his tour group into the Chapel and showing them around.

Great walking tour of the history of a living campus. The grounds are also stunning. Best book ahead online so not to disappoint. A bit pricey for the average Brit...

Amazing architecture, and the services were amazing. I learned a few things about the way the Catholic Church operates and some of their traditional prayer and rituals which differ from the way we do things in the United States.
