😠 The majority of the male changing room lockers are are broken and not working. I guess that some gym attendants are breaking them on purpose, where the security is? In the busiest days is impossible to find a working lockers, just the broken ones are available. When the gym will fix this situation?... People often mention equipment, classes, staff, good, time, clean, people, friendly, Great, personal,

Gym is a very good one , its clean , friendly atmosphere , good classes. But the negative side of it its the water temperature of the shower. Its too hot , very unpleasant and not good for your body / hair Neither in the winter its pleasant , needs to be lowered a bit, doesn't need to be that hot

Nice gym to come and training, most of the equipment you need you can find here. Have one PT very rude, you need to go slowly don't take him. Good gym for lifting. Now you can can and visit the gym for free.

Today has been the 6th time I have arrived at the gym at 6am ready for it to open and no staff have turned up to open the doors. Today 20+ people were outside in the cold waiting for staff to turn up. The longest it has taken someone to open the doors is just over an hour. This is extremely frustrating when waking up at 5:30am to get an early session in, and it happens way too often. On a more positive note, the gym equipment is decent and the staff are friendly.

I joined PureGym at London Kentish Town recently and it's been a great experience so far. The carpark is quite big, so you shouldn't have to worry about finding a space unless you go at the peak time. There are also three squat racks and two smith machines, which can get busy during peak times but there's generally no need to queue. The classes are great for beginners and medium-level gym-goers alike. The group fitness coach explains the exercises clearly and progresses from easy to hard, making sure everyone gets a good workout. They also manage to squeeze all your energy out in the process! Overall, I've really enjoyed my time at PureGym Kentish Town and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good gym in the area.

Don't waste your time here, a really poorly run gym. Seldom opens on time. There is definitely a fly problem. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Equipment is often faulty and left in a mess. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you want somewhere half decent to train.

Great local gym. Staff and trainers are friendly, helpful and deliver some great classes. It’s clean and always has a good vibe. Great value for the low membership cost.

Equipment is good, but could do with more variety. The only time I’ve used the toilets they were unflushed and dirty. The air con doesn’t seem to work, it can be pretty hot and stuffy. However my biggest issue with this gym is the personal trainers dominate multiple pieces of equipment across the gym floor. I’ve worked in gyms for over 10 years, personal trainer for 5 of them, and never have I experienced anything like it. Two separate occasions after waiting for a piece of equipment, I start setting up the handles/cables for my routine and a personal trainer comes running over saying the equipment is being used in a superset with a client who is the totally opposite side of the gym floor. No gym etiquette at all. The second time it happened I told the personal trainer that he shouldn’t be dominating equipment like this, he sort of laughed it off and continued anyway. Luckily this is not my home gym, I only use it when working nearby, but if it was I would’ve cancelled my membership already.

not a bad Puregym at all, but showing some signs of age. The room for classes could do with being cleaned regularly (the floor is filthy with dirt and dust, most of which you suck in when smashing through your press-ups -- and not in a good, spit and sawdust way either). Some of the machines are rusting, and showing a bit of wear and tear. Great free weight area though. Hopefully now people are returning in droves there can be some more strident reparation in other parts of the gym. But who knows. Let's go champ!

Couldnt ask for a better bunch of staff who have been the reason why i keep coming back. But now there has been a change in management which came with a drop in lunch time spin classes and more classes stopping soon enough i am loosing my love for kentish town pure gym. Mikhail, Tony and Nic deliver some of my favourite classes which is the only reason i am holding on. The gym itself is very tired and uncared for. A spin studio which has been out of action for months with the rest of the place looking very tired. It seems like the gym that has been forgotten about unfortunately. Its a real shame as all the old school staff actually bring the place to life. Its just unfortunate that pure gym themselves let them the staff and us customers down with the poor at state of the place.!! Top marks also to Clive as the assistant manager who always seems positive whatever the weather 😊 *** update to my previous review below*** So it's been 8 months since I posted my last review and over a year since the spin studio closed for repair . Do you actually have any intentions of repairing it or doing any work to the gym for that matter? Of all the pure gyms I have attended this one is the most tired one and half the spin bikes don't work properly!! Staff don't seem to stick around neither!!

Great gym. Very convenient. Just one thing - Need digital clocks all around. Not everyone trains with their Mobile. 😉

Friendly staff generally but not a guy called Cruz. I approached him with a simple question about one of the machines and he just loses it. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The lack of signal on the gym floor is a bit annoying. Other than that, its decent. Plenty of space and equipment

Had a trial session with PT Furkan. Great trainer. Even one session was already useful and clarified the techniques of many exercises. The personal approach is very nice and helpful in achieving the set goal. Overall, like the gym, clean and tidy. The staff is always welcoming and ready to help. Love group classes

Great spacious gym with lots of machines and equipment. Even when it's busy it doesn't feel crowded and the staff are very respectful and knowledgeable.

Exception PT I've an outstanding personal trainer, Ray, which is why I've been a member of PureGym Kentish Town since it opened in 2016. Ray's got my fitness level to the highest ever, taught me to maintain a healthy diet and kept me on track to reach my target weight. Ray's motivated me so that going to PureGym and focusing on my fitness and health are now very much my way of life. Had a great session yesterday, having just got back from holiday. Highly recommend Ray.

Had an impromptu session with PT Furkan, and he was great! He gave me and a friend a really good workout, corrected our form and definitely increased my confidence using equipment. Finished off our weight session with a tough circuit-which was great, he was not letting us off lightly! Highly recommend him as a PT, any time I’m at the gym and he’s there, he pops over to encourage and will give a demonstration if needed. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, always welcoming, visible and offering help if needed. Overall, the gym is really friendly and clean-most people clean up after themselves, wiping down equipment. Ladies changing room is super clean!

Gym is incredibly clean and tidy and there are many pieces of equipment for whatever your goals are (although I have noticed they do not have leg abductor/adductor machines). The cleaning stations are hardly ever stocked which is very annoying, as it is nice to be able to clean down equipment before and after use. Probably one of the best kept PureGyms though.

Equipment is a bit worn out and the toilets are smelly and frequently blocked. Difficult to cancel membership. They ask for lots of notice, so back to the bad old ways.

When I started at Pure Gym, I tried out many of the different classes available. Furkan’s classes were the ones that I constantly attended and enjoyed the most. He always made the class enjoyable and has an enthusiasm for helping people. He would constantly walk around the studio; chatting to people about their goals, correcting form or suggesting exercises for an injury. Although he no longer leads the classes, Furkan gives all of the same positive energy (and more) in his one-to-one training. He helped me to overcome my anxieties with using the weight section of the gym. Furkan is extremely knowledgable with heath & fitness, nutrition, building muscle, injury management and prevention and is meticulous with demonstrating how to safely use the gym equipment. If you are new to the gym or are an established gym user that is looking for a specialist to achieve your next goal, I highly recommend Furkan.

My husband went there today 12/08/2022 morning time on summer jeans to do a arms exercises and a rude personal trainer ask him to leave the gym premises because he can’t wear jeans. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 What is wrong with this people?? He will find different gym. We was im different brands and they never told us anything about this. There is nowhere in the gym policy or Agreement saying that you have to wear specific clothes !! I will take this higher!! This is a discrimination against people.

Equipment-wise it has most of what I’d require + a sizeable free weights section. Downsides however, are the gym seems and feels unclean (e.g. I’ve had flies land on me during workouts in the free weights room and the room/windows are littered with cobwebs). Also weights are rarely replaced in the correct areas - a problem that occurs all times of day and nothing seems to be done to combat this other than reminding people of the CCTV overwatch.
