Today the willows were planted in memory of our sons Egbert Jr. and Tom in Het Bos der Omarming. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail by the board and the other volunteers. Kudos!

New part of the Geestmerambacht recreation area where you can enjoy walking, especially in the evening, the sunset is clearly visible and I love taking pictures of the sunset. There is also a natural cemetery there. For the children there is a very nice climbing and clambering playground with a raft over the water and a labyrinth.

Already a beautiful place. Once everything grows and the gates open to visitors, this will be a quiet, natural environment where people also have the opportunity to meet each other and commemorate together on a specially constructed square.

The Bos der Omarmingen is a beautiful addition to the natural cemetery that was also created at this location. At the moment everything is still a bit bare, but that is only a matter of time. Together with the nature playground for children, the Bos der Omarmingen and the Geestmerlo cemetery are a very nice addition to the entire Geestmerambacht area.

Beautiful location. Still young trees, so they are not really impressive yet. You can enjoy walking there and children can have fun playing there. A real "outside" feeling.

Beautiful park with a natural cemetery and a memorial forest, ideal for a moment of reflection and while you are there, take a walk in the labyrinth

The Bos der Omarmingen is part of the Geestmerloo. It is a place between the Geestmerambacht and Alkmaar Noord (Daalmeer). It is a walking area with lots of play equipment. A memorial forest, where you can 'adopt' a tree in memory. On the side of the Geestmerambacht you will find the entrance to the natural cemetery. All graves are provided with a plaque of a tree, on which the name and date of death are visible. So you will not find any statues or tombstones here. There is a dog walking area on the cycle path side. Even though the dogs are welcome in the nature reserve, where they are allowed to walk around on a leash. Is this piece of land an off-leash area? It is clear that there is a clearing obligation in both the off-leash area and the nature reserve. There are many yellow garbage bins. And that is very pleasant considering children are playing and people are sitting and lying in the grass.

Beware of Alkmaar, they beat the visitors.
