I
ordered
a
product
online
(sofa),
for
pickup.
I
was
informed
the
product
was
ready
to
be
picked
up.
I
drove
to
the
store,
using
my
own
time
and
fuel.
When
I
arrived,
it
was
discovered
that
one
of
the
main
components
was
missing
from
the
order.
They
asked
me
to
wait
while
they
retrieved
the
missing
piece
from
"upstairs".
Ultimately,
I
waited
almost
4
hours,
and
the
item
was
never
found.
They
promised
since
I
already
tried
to
pick
up
the
item,
that
it
would
be
delivered
to
my
home
by
Ikea
at
no
charge,
and
that
I
would
be
contacted
within
a
week.
I
was
NOT
contacted,
and
called
Ikea
customer
service
1.5
weeks
later.
Customer
service
told
me
that
only
the
Amsterdam
store
could
fix
this,
but
would
neither
connect
me
or
give
me
the
number
to
talk
to
them.
I
had
to
wait,
and
they
would
get
back
to
me.
Apparently
the
Amsterdam
store
no
longer
has
the
item,
and
while
the
item
is
available
at
other
stores
(Utrecht,
etc.),
Ikea
refuses
to
ship
it
to
me
from
the
other
stores.
After
waiting
another
week
for
the
Amsterdam
store
to
call
me,
they
still
didn't,
so
I
called
customer
service
again.
Again,
customer
service
would
not
connect
me
to
Amsterdam,
but
said
only
Amsterdam
(store)
could
solve
my
issue:
not
receiving
the
item
I
paid
for
and
tried
to
pick
up
almost
3
weeks
ago!
I
have
been
a
long-time
loyal
customer
of
Ikea,
but
I
am
considering
changing
this
due
to
their
completely
ineffective
customer
service
practices.
