One of the more regretful trips I've ever made. This place is a lousy excuse for a tourist attraction, unfortunately. You take a taxi from the city to the start of the "train" for 20 mil pesos, hop on the train for another 20 mil (per person), and the train barely works! They don't have their acts together enough to figure out a schedule, so trains are constantly going back and forth and if you bump into one going the other direction, oh well. We had to switch about three different times when we ran into another train car. Not to mention that it literally breaks down every ten minutes. It's not even a train! It's a broken down wagon propelled by a quasi motorcycle motor. And of course absolutely no maintenance on the tracks causing it to be incredibly bumpy and noisy. To top it off, we were stranded for over an hour since one of the trains broke down. Now for the attraction itself: a huge rock from where you can see the ocean meeting the river. Super NOT exciting! Especially when you have to walk for half an hour over trash and swamps and other random obstacles just to get there. It's not even that pretty!! And you get soaked from all the crazy waves because of the wind so keep that in mind when you pick out your outfit for the day. A white dress was probably not the best choice. All in all it was just sad to see that absolutely no money is put into this site to actually qualify it as a tourist attraction. Do not waste your time or money. Four hours and 80 pesos was way to much for us.

It was a fun adventure to ride on the back of a motorcycle to the end of Bocas de Ceniza. The road is muddy at first, then pretty bumpy - but my moto driver was experienced. Drink lots of water as it’s warm out. Food at Charles’ restaurant was an authentic, fresh seafood experience. Took lots of photos and I’m glad I went!

Round trip walking from the parking lot up to here is 12km. It took us, in total, almost 3 hours. It is such a beautiful place, and locals were friendly. There are also motorcycle transport which was for $14.000 round trip. The wind and the views are amazing. You'll find fisherman's shack now and then, and some of them sell water, soda and beer. You may want to take a taxi or Uber from the city at around 2.30 pm heading towards Las Flores neighborhood, and use the trains or pay the car trip up to the parking lot.

It is no longer as the picture shows. Not sure if because of Covid... The rail wagon only goes half way, then we rented a guy's motorcycle and rode on a rough path for 15 min, and still had to walk another 15 min, and the place is full of garbage. If you are ok with that, It is still worth going as the river and the ocean meeting is really cool.

You have to walk over 6 miles just to get to the end. Traverse thru un even boulders and walk thru sea garbage. You can take a motor bike . The sea and the river have been damaged by the pollution. Dont waste your time.

The furthest point out of the coast, where the Magdalena river meets the ocean! A magical place! A must see. A train will take you 2/3 of the way, be ready to walk the last 1/3 through rocky and uneven terrain. Bring hiking shoes or running shoes. Avoid flip-flops!

The view here is great! But wear good shoes as there is no good trail. You can use a small "waggon" to reach almost the end. However, the railway is in a really bad shape and it can happen that the waggon will jump out of the rails. Costs: 15'000 Pesos two-ways.

It's definitely something different and can take around 3 hours depending how pace and how long you stop for photos. A car can only go so far before before the road makes it impossible. You can then take an enormous walk [I walk, but wouldn't suggest it] or hire a motorcycle for 20k and have them take you most of the way. At a certain point even the bike isn't able to travel so you'll go by foot. Catch some views, see some fisherman and their modest huts, and see some iguanas and snakes along the journey
